I mean getting the 1 seed is MASSIVE especially with the somewhat recently expanded playoffs that took the 2 seed bye away. It’s not luck that the patriots/chiefs often had a bye and a fairly easy home divisional game and their players are more rested and healthy for the afc championship. If the chiefs had to see us after a tough game with Baltimore they’d never beat us tbh

I can see the don’t want them too for sure but the haters will come up with excuses to cheapen your teams superbowl win no matter what lol. Give me the easiest path possible. There’s def a small chance they miss…tough to tell yet though. Definitely would require the chargers and broncos both being good to even start talking like that though

NFL Division Winner Predictions (Week 3 Edition)
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to G0BILLS's topic in The Stadium Wall
NFC west seems impossible to tell haha I don’t think Arizona is great but the three other teams have all looked good at times -
It is crazy how not bad that roster is now and it feels like Daboll is running them straight into the ground. Can’t help that Daniel jones is playing well in Indy and saquon has been great in Philly lol I don’t even know if it’s all on Russ the playcalling is so bad a lot of the times. They were running the ball well and still looked completely inept

I think the commentary dudes were just straight up wrong about the Josh scramble against the ravens tbh. That whole rule has an ‘OR when the ball carrier starts simulating touching the ground’ that I legitimately think Terry didn’t even know about and since the rule on the field was short a challenge never would’ve overturned that application of the rule. if it was ruled he got the first on the field maybe it holds up to a ravens challenge because it was such a quirky slide where it’s hard to pinpoint where he started simulating touching the ground. Ironically I think that non challenge decision was one of the big reasons we won that game and is a big positive for mcd and negative for the fans saying he was wrong 😂. TBD coaching would’ve lost us that one especially given we only got that late first half fg off because mcd used defensive timeouts when the ravens were driving which is for some reason considered bizarre now no idea what makes the timeouts bizarre…that is literally done all the time and has won us multiple games tyreek catch I agree with you…your hands can come off it briefly and it can still be ruled you have control but I think he didn’t possess it in time

I don’t even know that Tre is playing that bad overall now that I’m rewatching some of the games again haha. In the moment though I can see why he stands out in a bad way at times. if last night turns into a trend against even mediocre receivers I’d be concerned but waddle is pretty tough to man up. I do think Hairston when he’s up to speed will be an improvement but Tre has been serviceable enough where idk if we need to do anything drastic in the short term

That was a championship level play by Bernard

It felt like we were getting cooked doing the opposite of how people usually define the mcd scheme lol waddle is a tough assignment and Tre was manning him up without much help pretty often I think lost in all the ‘dolphins are imploding’ drama is tyreek/tua are still a really tough wr duo it was an interesting game we played a lot of contain and it really did seem to make tua uncomfortable for some reason even though we weren’t technically generating a lot of pressure. Idk if that’s one of tua’s quirks that we key in on lol. He was bailing pockets in very strange directions at times cuz the edge defenders were scaring him which forced him into some really difficult throws that should’ve been routine. -

Yea I think the quick pressure was more responsible for that outcome than Bernard was -
I’m so excited for Hoecht and I hope I’m not disappointed haha just feels like such a good fit and we’re halfway there to getting him back.. seems like a younger Lorenzo Alexander Ogunjobi had a few down years and maybe a change of scenery helps but I don’t think it’s a sure thing

The Patriots did this to us for 20 years
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think they were a bit too close to the end zone at that point to really kill off all the clock…if they scored with like 1:20 left I wonder if they woulda gone for two. If we disappeared Bernard on that INT play I think they would’ve been on the 13-14 ish yard line with 3 minutes left and the bills had two timeouts and the 2 minute warning -
Felt like they were keepin a bunch of extra guys in to block and we were playin a bunch of contain in this one but I gotta rewatch to be sure. The discussion around injured olinemen always puzzles me a bit. Guys forced into the lineup are gonna be at their absolute worst the game they are forced in and with more reps they pretty much always improve over time. Communication/experience is at a premium with that group. I never really got why people expect these guys to remain as terrible as they looked the game they were forced in

Feels like weve played a lot of contain so far this year and he’s doing his thankless job well. The disconnect between fans and pff over groot will continue this week too haha with Miami you absolutely have to sell out to stop the wide runs and that seemed like the huge focus
-
This feels like a pure fan vibes thing tbh…if teams are giving you the underneath throws like they have been the last few weeks you take them every time playoffs or otherwise. I get fans want to see the exciting splash downfield passing plays and Josh probably does too but teams want Josh to feel that way and force things. The plays set up behind the LOS are there a lot…usually when they don’t work someone whiffed a block etc and they work way more often than the frustrated fan even realizes.. that’s the takeaway that surprises me every time when I rewatch the games lol my biggest criticism of Josh leading up to the last year plus is he wouldn’t play the style of games that he has been playing now even when defenses were gift wrapping it for him jets and dolphins really all they have is pass rush on top of all that so there’s an extra incentive for the style of play we’ve seen

As far as talent meeting scheme goes I think probably hawes so far? It’s not the prettiest thing but it is a big role haha if Hairston plays pretty well this class could be great

If cook could find a way to stay on his feet on those shoestring tackles I feel like he might be the best player in the league haha his vision is crazy. I’m usually in the ‘any decent rb can run through the holes OLs open up crowd’ but cook is def doing things other guys just don’t do
