  1. It’s every week of every season in the gameday threads 😂
  2. All the people saying they should’ve gone for that would be the same ones complaining they went for it if they got stopped 😂
  3. In a world where the chiefs lose to the broncos does the afc have to root for the chiefs over the colts in two weeks? How insane would that be 😂. Don’t think they’ll lose to Denver anyway
  4. It’s kinda crazy a lot of them have been ugly but I feel like every international game has been close this year haha
  5. I think that old ‘degrade a round’ rule doesn’t really fit here. dolphins don’t really need that value next year and it’s not like the bills picks can really fall much further in the draft order (to the point where you’re already rounding them down to the next round 😂). That old rule of thumb was strongly based on the uncertainty of not knowing what the draft order will be in two years but having some info on it for the current year
  6. Feels criminal Eddie Van Halen never got a halftime show
  7. And the db celebrated like he did something 😂
  8. It’s pretty annoying cuz there is a pretty good amount of recent rock music but I guess it fell out of ‘mainstream’ so you don’t see it in that kind of context anymore 😂
  9. How is that even a pr ‘move’? You’re saying he made a legitimate competitive offer for a good receiver but are just complaining that a team presumably the bills told you about it? like if we were accusing him of telling the media ‘I tried to get waddle’ and his offer was actually too weak to be taken seriously im totally on board with that being a controversy/save face pr move type thing. Not even sure what the issue is here though
  10. 2026 third also…I gotta disagree with you here I think that’s a strategic overpay for waddle tbh. Miami turned it down for the optics of it which is gonna hurt them long term imo. I don’t think they want to admit to fans they’ve gotta blow it all up
  11. Taron johnson might be a bit of ‘give him more time cuz he wasn’t playing that great when healthy anyway’. Palmer is a bit upsetting though haha
  12. Idk releasing info that your division rival was desperate for a player and you turned them down in the lead up to your game against them seems like it would give the dolphins some juice and maybe have the bills doubting themselves a bit tbh. Don’t know what the dolphins gain by not releasing it
  13. He’s gonna be like 32 before the dolphins are even done with their next rebuild lol probably would’ve been off the bills in 2028. this don’t trade in the division thing is pretty stupid when you’re blowing up your team I really don’t get it. Williams with the jets I def get cuz they got a good offer from the cowboys for earlier picks in the draft order but waddle is just gonna rot there
  14. Only way that makes sense is if he’s just straight up lying to the media about the offer which I doubt he is cuz they probably have other sources the waddle offer was a really good deal that they easily could’ve taken and I’d argue probably should’ve taken tbh. if it was a ‘make a kinda weak offer just to say you did something’ it woulda been much smaller than that
  15. Reporting is we offered them a third in the upcoming draft and 1st in 2026…seems insane to turn down to me if that’s accurate lol unless they think they’re close in the next couple years
  16. I don’t think there’s a waddle level player in the draft that we could’ve gotten for less than a third in one draft and a first in the next tbh that’s like trading up for Nabers/mcmillan territory depending on what draft you’re talking about
  17. Williams makes sense cuz they got a good deal from the cowboys anyway…the dolphins turning down the waddle trade doesn’t make a lot of sense to me personally unless Miami thinks they only need a partial rebuild (which I think we all know isn’t true 😂)
  18. I think for me i gotta know what win total teams got to really think about the probabilities. Like if pit keeps Baltimore out and is 11-6 with wins over Detroit and the ravens down the stretch we probably won’t feel great going in there on the road when that moment comes. I don’t expect this part of it to be the case but they could even beat us in the regular season. If they limp in I can definitely get behind the layup game type vibe. Same kinda deal with the broncos although we don’t play them.
  19. Yea feels like people are in a bit of denial about how much dumb luck there is in a single game elimination football playoff. Even if you’re a pretty big favorite in the road wildcard game it’s probably a 60/40 odds type situation that you entirely skip by getting a bye instead and who knows how the wear and tear of that game could effect the next game If pit keeps Baltimore out and ends up the ‘worst’ division winner I don’t think we’d be that big a favorite in that 4 vs 5 wildcard game tbh. They would’ve had to have beaten a few good teams down the stretch.. of course if Baltimore just implodes and pit looks meh maybe the optics are different
  20. Yea I think people are picturing how the broncos/steelers look now when they choose but I don’t really see the broncos holding off the chiefs without beating some good teams down the stretch. Same goes for the Steelers and ravens the pats would be in that mix too who maybe would’ve beat us twice if we end up the 5 seed. The dynamics change a lot based on how teams got to certain win totals. If the pats lose the rematch to us but end up a win ahead I wouldn’t even think twice about possibly seeing them again
  21. Colts can probably coast to an afc south win but if someone like pit or denver does enough to hold off the ravens/chiefs down the stretch they are probably pretty good teams at minimum. Right now yea it’s easy to see those two teams as pretty ehh but it’s gonna take a couple months of solid efforts to keep the ravens and chiefs out. I think I’d rather play the lowest remaining seed in the divisional and the conf championship both at home than three pretty good teams on the road but I can see both sides. Football is just so unpredictable…if the wrong guy gets injured in the wildcard round the party is over
  22. Some of it comes down to seeding but the extra rest/prep time against the divisional opponent goes a long way imo if the ravens and chiefs both make the playoffs and play eachother before they play us, 1 seed is a no brainer imo. If we’d get one of them in the divisional and possibly 1 in the conference championship I can see the other side of it but would probably go 1 seed still
  23. It’ll be the first time they played ALL road games if they don’t win the division at least 😂
  24. Yea I had to add from the team there haha you caught me in time 😂
  25. Everything but smelling salts since those aren’t allowed anymore from the team 😂
