  1. Game would’ve been a pats blowout by halftime if the defense wasn’t playing very well in the first half…this was very much a team loss. Shouldn’t even be in a game with that many turnovers/penalties pretty much gave up 3 points despite the pats having good drive starts. The other 3 points the bills offense fumbled and put the pats instantly in fg range
  2. The fan vibes are that brady always had stacked WR rooms because of that short time with Randy moss where they ironically didn’t win a Super Bowl lol. Brady was playing a lot like Josh is right now style-wise with similar wr talent for a lot of his career. His best wr was usually a slot guy
  3. That chiefs jags game was a reminder of what the vision is for the bills for me and it was a nice reset lol.. the jags have talent at wr and the chiefs dbs were straight up mugging them all game with little to no calls all the same. Jags got kinda fortunate they drew that late pi the way that game was going. It was the same story when the bills had Diggs/beasley/brown…chiefs had little to no problem locking all those guys up when it mattered I think leaning hard towards the run game is the best way to neutralize a lot of those exotic blitzes/handsy dbs the chiefs are running
  4. I think the ravens made their team worse with that trade and it was a straight up panic move tbh lol Oweh is gonna pick up statistically on the chargers I bet. obviously we could make some moves with picks but I think that oweh trade will probably go down as an example of what not to do if I had to guess
  5. The chiefs loss def muddied the waters a bunch…I think the more pessimistic crowd thought they had turned it on week 4 and were just gonna coast.
  6. Oh I’m not trying to say we lost because of bad luck…I just wouldn’t summarize that game as ‘we got lucky and still lost’ which is what I was objecting to lol there was plenty of offsetting bad luck to any apparent good luck if we’re talkin fluky regular season stats as indicator of playoff luck which is what that op seemed to be doing in the follow up post the chiefs got as lucky as any team ever has and didn’t win a superbowl. Their record in one score games was preposterous last year and it seems to be evening out.. of course playoff time none of that matters which was my second point later on 😂
  7. Oh you’re talking about regular season mostly? I was thinking luck in the playoffs. Usually on a teams Super Bowl run you can point to one or more fluky ‘how did that happen’ plays or a huge blown call to their benefit or their opponent losing a key player. I think that’s what people mean when they’re talking about getting lucky in the playoffs usually. That 2 point drop probably would qualify but it woulda just tied the game so I’m not sure how to count it haha beating the chiefs +1 in turnover differential has been pretty standard and that’s what happened in the playoff game last year. I don’t think we’ve lost the turnover differential against them since the regular season game in 2020. I think we got a bit unlucky against them so I was pretty surprised by your post originally. The stage was set for a play like that two years ago when the chiefs fumbled through the end zone but we couldn’t punch it in after to win the game. yea over a big sample size historically low turnover numbers is worth noting, but in any individual game turning the ball over 0 times in a playoff situation doesn’t seem super luck based to me personally
  8. I’m trying to go through the schedules of everyone…it’s a really weird year the pats could be just ok and win 10 still based on schedule alone which has really mucked up the wildcard path 😂 still seems like a bit of a longshot but we’ll know more if the jags can sneak through rams and Seahawks at 1-1 or better…the afc south teams still have to play eachother a bunch of times so it’s hard to tell what’s gonna happen. If they all trade wins you could have colts, jags, and pats at 10 ish wins two of which would be wildcards. then maybe third wildcard is Houston if they continue turning it around or second place in afc west which might be 10 wins for that team.. north seems cooked with all the injuries..maybe Baltimore could go on a run when they get healthier but I think it’ll be hard to crack 9 wins
  9. I legit felt the same way and thought I was crazy haha like yea it’s great statistically but felt like an even bigger missed chance for us
  10. I think they’re saying the 7 seed will win 10 and be in good tiebreaker shape and a few other teams will win 10 and miss. I read it as ‘the only way you can be absolutely sure you get in no matter what is winning 11’
  11. Chris Jones feels like he’s slightly washed (by his normal standards) or phoning it in. I really wouldn’t be surprised if the bills ran all over these guys if he doesn’t turn it around Credit to karlaftis though who I always thought was massively overrated/ just capitalizing off playing with Chris jones. Feels like he’s stepped up but it’s not enough to offset jones going from incredible to average so far.. could def turn it around though it might just be an effort thing
  12. Felt like the chiefs got away with a ton of defensive holding in this one as they often do to me. Was kinda surprised they flagged that late one based on the rest of the game tbh…I wonder if they were aware they blew that Trevor INT dpi and were actively trying to even it out
  13. Man the afc south really throwing a wrench in the wildcard path so far. Houston looks like they’re gonna climb into the race too it seemed impossible someone like the chiefs could miss a couple weeks ago but now I’m starting to see some paths
  14. Kinda all hinges on Chris jones for me…he looks like he just doesn’t like playing football anymore suddenly.. not sure if he’s regressing or just goin through the motions until playoffs all the talk of mahomes being amazing has masked it a bit but he’s been equally as responsible for huge plays in critical moments of playoff games this jags game was pretty jarring because it felt like the refs did everything they can to keep the chiefs in that game up until that last drive and they lost anyway. everyone is probably overreacting a bit to that one game
  15. The afc south lookin pretty good record is trouble for them wildcard wise.. it’s shaping up to be a bumpier road competing for a wildcard than I thought a couple weeks ago IF they’ve gotta go that route might be the team we just lost to that potentially keeps the chiefs out funny enough. Still a longgggg way to go though they could easily win the division still. Really don’t have to panic in the division race unless they lose to Denver or LAC again
  16. What was lucky last year? The dropped 2 pointer to tie the game against Baltimore? Chiefs got the 1 seed on the back of insane early season officiating and we lost benford cuz he got hurt on an onside kick against Baltimore then reinjured and got terrible spots against the chiefs all night in the afc championship wouldn’t really call that a lucky playoff run overall
  17. Is anyone good anymore 😂. The team that won this game didn’t even look good lol
  18. I’m not quite in the fire mcd camp but teetering haha There’s no good HC candidates this offseason unfortunately. I think they gotta give him one more year and make 2026 Super Bowl or bust and hope someone else emerges tbh. All the guys that have gotten hype have completely fallen off so far. Maybe they could fire him midseason in 2026 if things don’t look great and have Brady take over for a time honestly maybe I’d give spags another shot if he wants to leave kc but it seems like people only want offense now and idk if he’d even leave
  19. You may not be debating it lol but many are. Tons of ‘the defense never gets the stop to give the offense a chance late’ takes today which is the only reason I posted that in the first place its just a real interesting debate I don’t think it’s as simple as anyone is making it …pats with probably the best defensive coach of all time had to score 27+ at least once almost every successful superbowl run and had to score 37 the one time he met mahomes. Who knows what those games woulda looked like if their primes lined up a little differently. I think 2001 the pats held everyone under 20 and that was it but that was a very different era there aren’t many runs where a team doesn’t have to score 27-30 points one or more times anymore. I feel like there was a brief period in the mid 2010s where defense was marketable where it happened haha like the legion of boom days. They let dbs get away with murder back then lol eagles did it last year with that late stand against the rams but I can’t think of too many others
  20. Lol what? The pats infamously did not win the superbowl with Randy moss and won a bunch with pretty mediocre skill position players. They outdueled that very same stacked chiefs offense you’re talking about with Julian Edelman and Chris hogan in their last Super Bowl run and had to score 37 points to do it Chiefs won a Super Bowl two years ago where their best wr was juju smith schuster and they had to score 38 to do it. I’m not saying blame josh instead of the defense which seems to be the way being critical of the late offensive play the last few playoff runs always goes, the defense can absolutely be better. But the offense has come up short in back to back years too. it all feels pretty ironic because when we were stacked at wr and couldn’t run the ball as well, a worse chiefs defense talent-wise pushed us around even more typically.
  21. The poll is going to be gross haha there really aren’t any good HC candidates this year. Seemed like coming in the ravens OC and DC would be the big names. Maybe someone could lure spags away
  22. I absolutely love Josh as I’ve said and think it’s a small sample size fluky thing more than anything, but mahomes/brady probably don’t have a stretch of going 1-6 on fourth quarter scoring drives against a rival in the playoffs in a 2 game stretch on their resume. I’ll take a look though I could be wrong. Josh would be the first to tell you that’s nowhere near good enough I think The average playoff game stats are all well and good to talk about, but when the best qb in the league has the ball in his hands and a chance to ice the game none of that really matters. Im not saying don’t blame the defense, but this whole ‘Josh hasn’t gotten a chance to win the game’ type stuff just isn’t true the past couple years and wasn’t true last night kc/NE have had their playoff games where they’ve had to score 30+ and they’ve been pretty flawless offensively late in those games to avoid having to talk about how their defense blew the game 😂. First superbowl against the eagles kc went td-td-td-fg in the second half to come back from a 10 point deficit. Super Bowl against SF they were a mess the first half on offense and got hot when it mattered also.
  23. it feels like the fan vibes of games completely warp what actually happened haha that feels like the theme of the day…I’m having the same discussion about the bills chiefs playoff games Bills were throwing all game that wind game i can see going either way on the comparison…wind game was more missed chances and yesterday was more self inflicted wounds so it’s definitely different flavors. Felt kinda like the pats loss to the Steelers to me and I’m pretty sure the football gods wanted to even out that pats loss and the bills weird ravens win 😂. Feels like both teams are where they should be record wise now lol
  24. This is legit driving me crazy…I love Josh and was probably close to a Josh can do no wrong person before postgame last night but hearing all this ‘they just need a defense that can get one stop and give Josh a chance to win it’ getting said a lot is starting to irk me. That is literally exactly what has happened the last two years against the chiefs The bills offense has been listless against the chiefs in the fourth quarter the last two playoff matchups and were borderline useless against Baltimore both times we saw them. Yea 13 seconds was all on the defense obviously and I totally get people being salty about that still but it’s warping games that have happened after
  25. Because the pats only ran the ball we were outcoached? I don’t really agree. I think the pats scored probably the maximum amount of points possible for running the ball that much and then dodged like 50 different bullets to hold on and win. that exact game plan probably loses them that game 9 times out of 10 and it was just dumb luck that they didn’t look kinda foolish for only running the football lol
