  1. One extremely soft PI call compared to what the ravens (and bills to some extent later on) were getting away with lol. That call hurt to watch during my rewatch right now
  2. A lot of times the short passes early were called/checked into against the right looks we just didn’t execute well…something that has stood out so far on a rewatch. Ravens were shedding blocks and stuffing guys in the open field most of the night though…a few times receivers dropped balls/lost their footing when catching the ball on top of pretty dreadful blocking on that behind the LOS stuff there were more successful quick throws/screens than I remembered in this one now that I’m rewatching. The big problem was the short yardage runs
  3. Has anyone confirmed this? I see this meme everywhere and still think it’s complete BS lol the account on twitter that posted this is just a clickbait troll now. Likely just put something scandalous in there to get people talking. Haven’t got a hotdog at Highmark in a year+ but I think a regular hotdog was like 6 bucks not too long ago it’s possible it doubled in price in a very short amount of time but I doubt it missed an earlier post confirming it, yea I figured its bs
  4. It was such a weird game…most plays were either a stuff or a td on the defensive side 😂. oddly enough if the game is gonna go bad on defense against a team like that that’s probably what you want cuz it extends the game at least haha I really think there’s potential on defense tbh im like 25% of the way through a rewatch. It’ll get completely overshadowed for good reason but that’s really the only time the pass rush has ever somewhat showed up against a great team. Feels like the ravens didn’t want to risk a big sack/incomplete passes/turnovers late because the pass rush actually was playing quite well.. that’s my silver lining. If Dorian strong is pretty good that’s some really nice depth too
  5. They need mahomes to be the center of attention. I think it’s becoming pretty clear that Josh is at worst as good of a qb as mahomes and you can probably make the case he’s better. I really think Josh did more back in our shaky oline days than mahomes is doing now
  6. I’m looking crazier by the year repeating this over and over and if we’ve got our most important defensive players and still lose I will eat the largest crow imaginable 😂. But the chiefs have had absolutely silly levels of injury luck against us…they have been obscenely healthy by playoff standards the last two years and we have lost the most important guy on our defense early in the game against them or the week before in an area without a lot of depth in back to back years it’s absolutely nuts. Two matchups ago we actually had decent LB depth but they pretty much all got injured against pit it was absurd. I really think God is a chiefs fan haha like the alternative where the bills have that injury advantage just for illustration purposes the bills would be very healthy and the chiefs would be missing Chris jones they really exploited benford going down last year then got exposed by philly imo…don’t think they’re in the superbowl without that injury
  7. Oh yea I think my point is more…we’re comparing these things to an average nfl game and saying they went badly.. but the ravens do those same things to us every single meeting to an even larger degree which is super important contextually. I can’t remember the offense even looking decent in any of the other wins against Baltimore…the second best statistical game we had a dreadful first half. They normally hold us around 250 total yards and we get embarrassed in the trenches.
  8. Leaving down two scores in a huge game against a team infamous for late collapses is absolutely shameful and directly impacts the bills lol. it was honestly pretty refreshing seeing a player bring that up. Seemed like it was mostly casuals that left early at least because it still sounded pretty loud it’s just really starting to feel like people are angry we won because it cut in on the doomposting 😂.
  9. Offensive line/offense really weren’t that bad considering the opponent even before the Oliver fumble recovery. that was on track to be the best offensive performance against Baltimore we’ve ever had even if the 4th quarter was a little more realistic lol. Last season we were held under 300 yards both times (under 250 even the first time), 2022 was a similar but lesser game where the ravens turning it over late opened the door and we did all our damage down the stretch, 2021 afc divisional we were held under 250 yards again, 2019 we almost got held under 200 yards, 2018 we almost got held under 150 yards 😂 but that was Nate peterman days. They have bottled up the downfield passing game with pretty much any combination of WRs we’ve ever had
  10. The jets game is a much better indicator of how we are at stopping the run against a non superhuman team imo…I think we’ll have a better idea of where we’re at after next week the ravens offense is disgustingly good and I think they’re gonna give the whole league problems this year. You just gotta hold on for dear life in the red zone…between the 20s they are very tough to stop. Even against kc last year in a game they only scored 20 points they had over 450 yards of offense and outgained the chiefs by 100
  11. Josh correctly checked into some of the short passes ( the ravens just tackled out of their minds) and incorrectly checked into a short 3rd down run it looked like. The ravens started playing a bit more vanilla trying to keep everything in front of them and seemed like they started to gas out down the stretch which made downfield passing much easier Sometimes those short passes are all the defense is giving you and your receivers have to find a way to extend plays. not to mention probably the biggest play of the night was a huge screen pass
  12. The team wasn’t really that close to full strength on defense granted some of it was due to multiple suspensions and not injuries lol
  13. Yea that could be I’m gonna watch again and look closer…the ravens dbs really seem to take it a step further to me in real time but I’ll try to be as objective as possible on a rewatch 😁 feels like the bills dbs will put hands on guys and not really grab or turn them much and the ravens push the envelope a bit further and will grab a lot of jerseys
  14. They hiked the ball immediately with no snap count on that play lol that was pretty crafty…I’m assuming he was supposed to creep down closer to the line pre snap really don’t know how guys that get paid millions of dollars to commentate missed that one. Not a full excuse for the defense but the play definitely wasn’t drawn up quite that way which makes it sting a little less
  15. If this continues I’d be shocked if poyer doesnt end up starting pretty soon
  16. Oh yea I’m not really trying to nitpick stats to prove one guy is better…both teams got who they want. It’s just such an interesting discussion because no one really talks about Coleman at all but when he’s been healthy he’s had a very solid start to his career. Worthy gets talked about like he’s the greatest receiver draft pick in recent history. it’s just a little strange to me lol maybe he’ll get some more chatter after this game as now he’s got multiple 100+ yard games.
  17. Y’all know Josh is checking into a lot of these plays we’re blaming the coaches for right? Lol like I get we want to be mad at the coaches all the time but some of these short throws were the right reads and the ravens just tackled their asses off. Josh definitely checked into that 3rd and short hurry up run in the first half too. ravens dbs definitely ran out of steam from flying all over the field the rest of the night which opened up a lot down the field as the game went on. reminded me a lot of the pats-falcons Super Bowl in that way
  18. It’s gonna be really interesting doing a Coleman to Worthy stat comparison in a few weeks when they have the same amount of starts. Coleman is 668 receiving yards 5tds 18.1 avg in 14 games right now worthy is 638 yards 6 tds 10.8 avg in 18 games(17 if you don’t count his injured game) he’s got 100 ish rushing yards and 3 rushing tds too kinda crazy when you factor in that Keon fell off super hard after his injury last year
  19. Realistically I think both teams got the style of player they want but it is fun to get caught up in the drama haha. Coleman is gonna be a beast on those scramble drill plays for a long time…he’s got really good body control boxing people out and worthy is the burner player the chiefs value but I don’t think he brings much of anything in run blocking or in those tough playoff games against kc where all your WRs get held lol
  20. Ravens were flying all over the field on defense and definitely gassed out down the stretch…that probably should’ve been a more classic shootout than a crazy late comeback haha It looked like the analysts post game were at a funeral haha they had all the ‘Lamar is the real mvp’ takes ready to go by halftime and Josh spoiled that storyline. I legit thought Rodney Harrison was gonna cry
  21. The bills scramble drill is actually pretty well structured and probably a lot of the reason why Coleman is on the team tbh once he hits his stride I don’t think there will be too many guys better than him at coming back to the football and boxing out a defender on that kind of play
  22. Yea I could see that…when that team is rolling everyone is wide open anyway haha there’s not a lot of ways for them to get challenged much in the regular season which feels like it plays into the chokes against the bills/chiefs a bit.
  23. As much as we don’t like it, the ravens needed the mcd ‘don’t score too fast/control the clock’ strategy bad today haha. If he was on the other sideline they probably win ironically enough 😂. They scored a ton of points but scoring so fast extended the game so much obviously you’re not gonna go down when ripping off a 60 yard run though haha so it’s a tough spot
  24. Oh yea he’s definitely getting closer though…I almost think they just don’t go through enough adversity and they panic when their opponent is actually able to bottle up the run and get them off schedule which most of the playoff teams can.. I think he’s got the physical skill to be an elite passer now and it’s mostly a mental thing
  25. It’s gonna be hotly debated im sure but I think not challenging the spot on that slide saved the game. Clearly wasn’t a great call but I really don’t think they would’ve overturned the call on the field. It would’ve gotten bogged down in the whole ‘how do you define the start of a slide’ type stuff and I think they would’ve just left the call unchanged we also did something probably even more difficult than 13 seconds against them before halftime because of good timeout management/preparation but it’s getting lost in all the craziness haha
