It’s definitely possible…I’d be more optimistic about it if we ever really showed anything against the bengals granted there’s been limited attempts. Chiefs definitely should’ve blown the bengals out for sure can’t argue that. Even with the mahomes second half meltdown they probably still should’ve won…can’t believe they mismanaged the end of that drive before halftime so badly

Do people not realize the 13 second game was the divisional round? Lol. It gets talked about like we were on the doorsteps of the superbowl and it always puzzles me a bit. We woulda had to beat the Joe burrow bengals who I don’t think we’ve ever beaten with Dane Jackson and Levi Wallace starting at cb if we won that chiefs game. Last year we were much closer to the superbowl than 13 seconds year imo

I think the make rate from 50 these days is just over 70%

Tough to compete with the cowboys picks too even if the jets would’ve entertained it. Cowboys should be picking in the top half of the order and bills should be in the bottom couple (hopefully last 😂) bills probably would’ve had to send like two firsts and a late rounder to hit that same trade value or something like that
-
People like the broncos huh? I mean I’m hoping they hold on to spite the chiefs but man do they look like sh*t for long stretches of games lol I’d be pulling my hair out if I was a chiefs fan watching some of those Broncos wins 😂 if the pats beat the Bucs this week I’ll probably be more sold than I am now. As of now I think they’re pretty good but need a year to take the next step ravens and chiefs will be better than all these teams we’re talkin about in the second half but will it be enough to dig themselves out of the hole they’re in? Will be interesting to watch

Moore with moore reps (couldn’t help myself 😂) with months in this offense already probably has a higher playoff ceiling than shaheed joining a new unfamiliar team halfway through the season on the fly tbh. Obviously independent of rapport with Josh/learning the playbook shaheed is the better player though not disputing that also not sure if he’s improved but shaheed is a pretty bad run blocker im pretty sure which would def cost him snaps in our offense

There’s that famous adage of ‘dbs are only dbs because they can’t catch’ 😂. I wonder how much truth there is to that

What team "won" on trade deadline day-2025 edition

Yea I think the person you were replying to was saying ‘ask the rams who won the Super Bowl with a big midseason trade a couple years ago’ haha unless I replied to the complete wrong thing which is possible my brain doesn’t work as good as it used to 😂 -
Game week thread - Bills at Dolphins

I think the bengals are the cautionary tale of going too far the opposite way of what the bills have done. The oline and defense are consistently garbage even in the regular season. Not even sure they’re a playoff team with burrow and even if they are he takes so many damn hits all year long that it’s a miracle he’s even available week to week -
What team "won" on trade deadline day-2025 edition

I feel like Philly really didn’t trade for anyone midseason either year they won the superbowl unless I’m missing something? which is very possible lol I think that’s why op brought up the rams not to put words in anyone’s mouth 😂. The only big swing midseason rental ‘trade’ I can think of that had a big impact was that rams team and that partly required a talented wr basically forcing his way out of his current contract which you can’t always count on. Von was a standard trade though theres a bunch of these half season rental trades every year and they mostly amount to not much of anything. I’ll never forget everyone panicking the chiefs got uche last year and I don’t think he was even active for the playoffs haha heck the ravens traded for diontae Johnson and had to waive him cuz he was a nutjob doesn’t mean we shoulda done nothing but I think people are expecting guys like shaheed to do exactly what he’s been doing the second he gets plopped onto the Seahawks but it often doesn’t work out that way -
It’s a pretty badly worded tweet imo…they’re looking for guys to backup the guys that are backing up the guys that are replacing Hoecht pretty much lol
-
Feels like a lot of the need was wr for the two big afc teams that were buyers and the main potential sellers were afc east teams which is a tough spot. I don’t think teams love the half year rental wr trade on top of that…really takes a lot of playbook knowledge and rapport with the qb to be successful especially with a guy like Josh who’s a big improviser. by the time these dudes get their feet wet they’re off the team Odell has come up a lot who was a significantly better player when LA picked him up than anyone we realistically could’ve gotten at the deadline this year and even he was on that bills Amari cooper 300 yds in 8 games type pace until turning it on for the nfc championship
-
I mean Davis got let go because he got a nice payday and we didn’t think he was worth that then he came back for peanuts lol. I don’t think that particular individual point is much of a mystery
-
Made a lot of money betting against Darnold in the first round last year lol I really wish him the best but that was easy money
-
Honestly kinda shocked the pats weren’t buyers at the deadline…I wonder if beane was out there driving up the price on WRs so NE couldn’t grab anybody 😂
-
Ehh in this case if a division rival offers you a great deal you take it imo.. Dolphins and jets have to completely turn their roster over anyone they trade will be on the downswing by the time they are competitive again
-
That’s my guess at what fell though…maybe the bills only wanted Deebo and the commanders tried packaging Von in for more picks, maybe bills wanted both and commanders would only give up one. Idk
-
Bills picks are traditionally very late in the round to be fair…if someone is matching the bills offer there’s pretty much never a reason to take it
-
I think something probably fell through
-
I don’t think you restructure a deal unless you’re pretty sure a trade is getting done…it’s possible something seemed like a sure thing and fell through though for sure
