If the pats get one huge statement win I think the odds will shift a bunch…I know it’s been done to death but they really have the easiest schedule I think I’ve ever seen. Obviously they can only play who’s on the schedule but we just really don’t even know how they’ll look against a great team There’s a nonzero chance that the only above .500 team they played all year is us when the dust settles but it will probably be us and one of Baltimore/PIT

I wouldn’t call it bargaining at all haha it’s really not me trying to make myself feel better over not getting Ben Johnson. in fact it feels the opposite of good thinking a good coach might choose a different team 😂 I just think the bills are kinda in parity hell talent and cap wise and I wouldn’t be stunned to see the top guy in the hiring cycle go to a team like the giants where they can hit the ground running right away and us getting the second best guy. If every other available opening is a team like the browns then different story but it’s not always like that I think if the bills really are as far off talent wise as the board thinks at this point, it’s gonna take a few 8 or 9 win years to get back on track im honestly kinda surprised this take was controversial haha I mean unless we really don’t think the roster is as bad as we’ve been saying every week.i just don’t see any short term answers things get even more complicated if the year mcd gets fired Harbaugh and/or Zac Taylor gets fired too haha

I really don’t think Ben Johnson would’ve chosen us over the bears tbh. Up against the cap with one pass catching weapon that’s often injured, a qb on a huge deal, late in the draft order, etc is a tough starting point even if he/the new gm decided to go all in on offense I’m not sure how much they could’ve realistically done here

Oh yea it’s def not nothing…it’s just easier for a backup to look serviceable after a week of prep so they might look decent. It’s not just the bills this happens to I feel like all the time you hear an oline is gonna get absolutely smoked due to injuries and then the game comes and they play ok feels like when guys get forced in midgame though they get beat like a drum way more often

I think people treat backup olinemen getting forced in midgame due to injury and backup olinemen getting a week to prep for a game as the same situation and they’re very different

I’m holding off on getting excited until they lose one more lol. But even if they make it it’s gonna be a battle now for sure.

I think the Lamar fans jinxed him lol…I saw a ton of ‘he never turns the ball over/has so many tds despite missing over a month’ posted a few weeks ago and he has no tds and a bunch of turnovers since that stuff was making the rounds 😂

In this mess of afc wildcard teams the chiefs already lost to a bunch of them and if they drop one to the Texans or chargers theyll add another to that list. all these teams play eachother a bunch of times still so it’s pretty likely all three wildcards will win at least 10 games and the chiefs have gotta hope they’ve got the tiebreaker over the 7 seed which seems pretty unlikely. I think they’re probably gonna have to win out to be comfy I get trusting mahomes but it’s pretty out of his control if they lose one more

They need a good bit of help to get in at 10 wins…chiefs are in terrible tiebreaker shape. Probably just under a 50% chance they get in with that finish

I won’t be but there’s definitely a case for it haha I’d rather have a little bit bumpier of a wildcard chase to eliminate the chiefs…their playoff odds improve a bunch if they beat Houston Only real path for bengals is the division and them winning out includes wins over Baltimore x2. If cincy gets in it very very likely eliminates Baltimore…really comes down to who you want to see less at that point

I’d say Shakir too…they were pretty good at finding decent budget options too like Mack hollins but straight up whiffed on everybody this year haha

Whatever advanced metrics some of these playoff simulator places are pulling to do their simulations are quite a bit too high on the chiefs imo. I think games like Houston and Denver etc they’re probably thinking 60% chance chiefs win but I think it’s a lot closer to 50 Zac Taylor is one of the worst coaches in the league imo

It’s gonna be really tough for them to win out but it’s definitely possible…just a few too many teams with really good dlines. I think they’ll probably win 10 and miss after losing this Dallas game. Really thought they were gonna win 11 and go on a bit of a run on the afc side of the playoffs pre Dallas game but was really hoping it wouldn’t happen 😂

I really think the cowboys are good post Williams trade but it was just such weird timing that that’s all anyone talked about haha

The problem is even if you are far and away the best team any given year you are nowhere near guaranteed a superbowl win….theres just so much variance in this stupid sport 😂 rams weren’t far off a falcons level collapse against tom Brady of their own that year haha there’s a very good chance the year you load up to win it you’re not gonna win
