  1. I gotta see again but that looked like a big run for Johnson but Josh mistakenly kept. Playcall looked fine to me
  2. Lots of gray area in that rule…I see that play called grounding pretty consistently.. usually you don’t get the benefit of the doubt in ‘direction and vicinity’ when you’re clearly dirting it under heavy pressure and there’s no realistic shot it could’ve gotten caught. Not really the same play as throwing a screen pass at a receivers feet when the screen isn’t set up right at all
  3. He made absolutely 0 effort to get it to 18 and it wasn’t even remotely close
  4. Literally the textbook definition of grounding lol
  5. Pats offense is overvalued and the saints offense is undervalued based on a huge schedule disparity imo…no one has really cared enough about the saints to notice though 😂 Saints schedule: ARI SF SEA BUF that’s a bit of a meatgrinder lol three teams in the top 10 in points allowed and one hovering around average. pats have seen no one in the top 18 all year. Yardage allowed wouldn’t even change much…Buffalo would improve and Arizona would fall. I’m not really seeing this huge chasm between the pats and saints offense tbh. I think adjusting for opponents saints have the worse qb obviously but they’ve got a significantly better running game.. really wouldn’t be surprised if this was an easier game than last week
  6. You mean on the specific plays he went deep? Yea I’d mostly agree with that. I’m still planning to rewatch but it seemed like guys were getting ‘nfl open’ pretty often throughout a lot of that one but we opted for wide open underneath stuff. maybe my opinion will change on a rewatch haven’t gotten around to it yet Even the int Keon beat his man but the single high safety got a good jump on it. Looked like we killed a few drives forcing it deep later on though where on those particular plays guys weren’t open
  7. The pats are so odd haha…they’ve probably played 4 quarters of good football in 4 weeks it just came at kinda the right times to be 2-2 instead of 1-3 lol maye has done what he needed to do most of the time…im not sure I buy this ‘he’s the next Josh Allen’ hype yet but he’s def above average
  8. I think maye is good but he probably has the second worth supporting cast of teams we’ve seen this year tbh. Saints are sneakily pretty loaded at the skill positions
  9. Pretty sure that would actually cost us a pretty big chunk of money lol I think there’s a partial out next year where it will still cost us money but a bit less
  10. Can’t really fault the defense against Baltimore in the playoffs tbh…I think they rescued the offense both times. The other ones are fair though
  11. Feels like he’s beating his man a lot this year and it’s just a matter of time before he goes off again statistically tbh. Looks like a lot of plays he’s pretty open but someone is comically open underneath and we just take the free yards 😂
  12. Sanders was pretty clearly a value pick in that spot and they clearly didn’t like him better than Gabriel. I don’t get how this decision is surprising to anyone or anyone’s moms lol
  13. I was entirely in the ‘rbs are overvalued/it’s all on the oline’ camp and James cook has mostly single handedly changed my mind haha. His vision is crazy. If he could figure out a way to step out of some of these ankle tackles he’d be breaking huge runs all the time
  14. I really think guys are separating better this year tbh (Coleman especially) but those free yardage underneath throws keep everything on schedule and the run game a constant threat. Personnel wise we are very very tough to stop in the running game and if you’ve got a 95% chance to complete a 5 yard early down pass compared to a 50-60% chance of completing a deep ball it makes sense to take that 5 yards to me the biggest flaw in Josh’s game in the past was he would force the deep shot every time in that situation lol really when drives have failed the last few games it seems like Brady/josh got bored and started throwing deep balls rather than sticking with what was working 😂
  15. Browning def had Jameis vibes last year idk what happened to him this year..I wouldn’t say he was even decent but he slung it lol
  16. Idk what happened to them at backup qb lol Cooper rush is an insane choice. I doubt he’ll miss any time though
  17. Rushing is a bit of an interesting can of worms…wasn’t sure how to quantify it which is why I labeled it as receiving stats in my post. I think Coleman is bringing substantially more to the running game on a play to play basis than worthy is but we’d need a metric for yards gained on Coleman blocks. Worthy’s rushing yardage is pretty much negligible over 19 games but he does have 3tds to be fair. not sure what’s incorrect about the stats though? Comparing regular season stats is pretty much the standard way of doing it and worthy’s big superbowl was all garbage time anyway. they’re very different players and hard to compare/I wouldn’t say one is better which I definitely mentioned in my post lol. But I was just pointing out how Coleman has been undervalued statistically by fans its just so odd to me that were losing it over worthy’s first game this year against a decimated ravens defense when Coleman had an even better game against an exponentially more talented ravens defense 😂 make it make sense
  18. With how bad our playoff injury luck has been it’s almost better that Milano/oliver got hurt early in the year haha less possible games for them to get injured in later on 😂 the depth does seem mostly better which is encouraging and the DE/DT depth is gonna improve in a few weeks. I don’t think we have a ‘one injury can knock us down from a great player to a terrible one’ anywhere like the benford/elam debacle last year.
  19. Yea I think there was a bit of ‘make other teams in the future have to prepare for this play’ type thinking involved there…not saying you’re wrong just that it probably should’ve worked. Van demark is usually a pretty solid depth olinemen it’s not like they were running that play with some chump which seems to be how some people talk about it 😂
  20. Coleman is such an unappreciated type of player it makes me a little bit sad lol I think a wr that’s a tank and a beast in run blocking probably brings you more value as a team that’s seeing a lot of soft coverage on passing downs with some occasional cover 0 sprinkled in. I mean I get the constant fear of the chiefs based on past results and this could absolutely be proven wrong 😂 but I think the bills leaning into running the football was the right direction. Teams can play over the top from light boxes against the chiefs and still bottle up the run and get pressure easily which kinda fits well with what you’d want to do to take away worthy anyway. Obviously they deserve the benefit of the doubt based on past results but I really think the chiefs need some Coleman type guys tbh
  21. If wouldn’t have even really looked like a trick play if Van Demark didn’t trip I don’t think haha we made that play look infinitely more difficult than it shoulda been 😂
  22. Bills fans really take running the ball for granted it’s straight up bizarre. You need players like Coleman to run the ball effectively and it’s such a good complement to trying to lighten the box and sit in soft pass coverage against Josh. Chiefs fans are all over the internet saying Josh has it easy because the bills can run the football and the chiefs can’t lol Just for reference not trying to say this proves Coleman is better or vice versa but I feel like the more negative bills fans really don’t even realize this…here are the career receiving stats of those two guys: Worthy: 19 games played 721 yards 6 tds 10.8 avg Coleman: 17 games played 759 yds 5 tds 16.5 avg Coleman has honestly been the bigger home run hitter so far it’s kinda ironic haha. Both guys are pretty up and down but bills fans only pay attention to worthy when he’s good it seems. I think Coleman has been quite a bit better than he gets credit for and worthy has been overrated a bit due to chiefs/mahomes media bias but he’s def good. Both teams got the guy they wanted and the bills got a free third round pick for doing so
  23. Unless I’m getting my threads confused the post I was replying to was massively dooming about the chiefs. It is a typical spread yes that is kinda my point lol. The betting world does not believe the chiefs are some unstoppable juggernaut based on one game against an absolutely terrible defense. Jags are fine they are on the very low end of good if anything. I wish I bet more I coulda retired after yesterday lol chiefs over ravens is free money I was saying it all week
  24. People are still under the mindset we’re picking top 15 in the draft order every year despite being almost a decade removed from that at this point lol There are other teams that throw rookies to the wolves a lot sooner but that certainly doesn’t make them good haha chiefs we’re talkin up Ashton Gillotte all offseason who was a third round DE like Jackson and he has gotten snaps and looked pretty bad to me. I think they had some injury issues though or he might not have played
