  1. Let's hope the Sabres get a little lucky and not alot of 3-point games. It is hard to overtake 5 points, but fortunately with all the games at hand the Sabres have, the odds aren't as bad as they normally would be. Got a lot of games coming up, but IMO, with the Sabres being such a young team, they're suited to handle a busy stretch. They did it in January and came out of it just fine. Nothing gets under my skin more than hearing Leaf fans cheering in Buffalo. Sabres need to get a lead and keep it. Need to keep their yaps shut.
  2. I hope this happens. My eyes can't handle his teeth on Sunday Morning Countdown.
  3. Facebook's a hack? I already knew that!
  4. DoorDash Seriously though....anything in a Crock Pot. I found out I can read recipes and actually make them work. Cut up a bunch of crap, throw it in and turn it on.
  5. the word "Hot!" to describe a gorgeous woman must have started with her.
  6. That was a good, and needed win!. However, I'm done with the Comrie experiment. That 3rd goal was just brutal. He was face down on the ice, and either lost the puck, or thought he had it trapped. Not a big deal, that stuff happens all the time. The problem was, he laid there with his left leg bent. If he had his leg extended, that puck doesn't go in. At the very least, the shooter would've needed to lift it which doesn't always work. The 2nd goal was not on Comrie, but it was lame defense. A Duck player screening Comrie with Lyubushkin standing in front of him. Made no effort to move or disrupt the player and essentially added to the screen. The defense plays way to loosey-goosey at times. The only way the Sabres are making the playoffs is if they tighten up the D and ride Ukko Pekka Luukkonen until his legs fall off.
  7. That was clock-work, and iconic. Of course, now all parents know where their children are......in their rooms. They would have to change it to, "It's 11 o'clock, do you know what sights your children are on?"
  8. I've been thinking this exact same thing the last week or so. Quit trying to build a team to beat one team. That part has worked for the most part. Problem is, they end up tripping over themselves against other teams. Instead, build a team that every other team has to beat. And....it's very difficult to "be like them" because they don't have the same pieces.
  9. I ain't doin' diddly-squat.
  10. Good point. While Dorsey got some interest this year, the fact that Frazier rarely gets a sniff for a HC gig despite having a top 2 defense statistically the past 4 years (aside from 2020) is telling. Either the other teams don't think it's his D (likely), or he doesn't pass the eye test (also likely).
  11. Yeah, I did hear Paul Hamilton mention on WGR Adams did ask that question to Okposo. Regardless of the answer, hopefully it's recognized and addressed.
  12. That's the look of every Buffalo fan at the end of every season, ever.
  13. He does speak the truth. I'm already terrified!
  14. Exactly. That's why you have to build a team for the playoffs and not the regular season, which the Sabres tend to do. Speed is great for the regular season and can get a bunch of wins, but this time of year, size matters. All that speed gets neutralized in the post-season with all the manhandling and holding that rarely gets called.
  15. I never get extended warranties. The way I see it, you either get extended warranties for every big purchase, or none. You simply don't know which item will last and which will break. Most big appliances come with 1-year warranty and I figure (right or wrong?), if its faulty or defective, you'll find out year 1. The money I save by not buying any extended warranties will go towards repairs if I need them. but that's just me. A quick story about 3rd party warranties; I bought a used vehicle many years ago and opted for a 3rd party extended warranty. While I was on vacation in Texas (in July), the A/C went out. I took it to a dealership where they diagnosed the faulty part, condenser I think. Turns out it wasn't that, but something else. When they tried to get authorization from the warranty company for the 2nd repair, the warranty company wouldn't authorize it until they sent out an adjuster, which would take 3 days. I was heading home in 2 days, so I had to delay the repair and drive more than 2 days through the south with no A/C. I was fuming, literally and figuratively. Never again. If it was a manufacturers warranty, they would have repaired it on the spot.
  16. Thanks.
  17. Dad?!
  18. Yeah?....But I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
  19. Every time they bring me back in..........thud! I feel like Charlie Brown with Lucy holding the ball.
  20. I thought Al Gore invented all those sports.
  21. Disagree with that. I thought our offense was much better at the beginning of the year. As the season progressed, our offense began to look flat and teams were figuring it out.
  22. I got an idea; deflate the footballs and record the opponents game prep. It's just crazy enough to work!
