  1. That's an odd choice of caps. Should have capitalized "not". Almost makes it intentionally confusing.
  2. Yes, but catching a python is much different than catching a frog.
  3. Official 1 to official 2: "Look at that guy over there; he's really alert, and breathing great! He must be on the Salts!"
  4. Ummm, how do you test for smelling salt abuse?
  5. .... Jim Kelly leading the way!
  6. Absolutely the right move. But while our defensive backfield has been rather tricky to navigate, I'm way more concerned about our LB depth.
  7. Yes, but the number 2 thing would make me want to pull over, make sure the kid is alive, then flip him off and say, "serves you right, jerk!" Then, casually get in my car and drive off.
  8. I kinda thought that too. But, like all shows, the first episode normally just develops the characters. Perhaps there'll be one of those 'mic-drop / cut-to-commercial' type scenes in episode 2. One thing notable to me was, how Josh refers to his receivers by their number and not name. For such a player/team type of guy, it seemed odd at first. But I really like it. It makes it more like business and not personal. And not the Cook version of business, the 'I'm at work conducting business' thing.
  9. So, your girlfriend shows up shortly after your wife? .......Awkward!
  10. I guess James Cook has decided that he's got no business practicing.
  11. I haven't heard the term "Postal" when referring to an actual P.O. employee in a long time. They must be taking care of their employees better and doing better psychological background checks. Or maybe it's because they don't have to deliver the phone books every year anymore.
  12. I have a fear that the main pieces of our O-line will be in and out of the line-up to some degree all year. We were lucky last year, I don't think that continues.
  13. Nothing good. They were an older couple, so lots of retiree membership stuff. On a separate note.....the amount of junk mail I get is staggering. I throw it all away, every last piece.
  14. When I moved into my current home, i continued to get mail from the previous owner and a few others that may have been previous owners as well. I would write "return to sender" with additional comments like "individual no longer resident." They would pick up the mail and then redeliver them a day or two later. I even put one of those new resident cards in the mailbox, but the mail continued. It was a lot. So I decided to save it all and after a few weeks, took a good sized box with all the mail to the post office. They collected it and thanked me for bringing it in. Two days later there was a post office tote with all the mail sitting in front of my door. I took the tote back which solved the current problem, but the mail continued. Now I just throw it away.
  15. That was actually a rule at the time if I remember correctly. Home teams were charged a timeout if visiting offenses couldn't hear the snap count. Not sure, but I also think they could assess penalties if it persisted after the timeout was charged.
  16. He played mostly solid to finish the season last year, but I absolutely think we've seen his ceiling. As a lot here have said, he's a quality back-up, but nothing to rave about as a starter. If I remember, there's other, more subtle examples of his positioning/instinct issues. If he's the starter, I can absolutely see those issues cropping up again.
  17. The offseason can't be over yet. It was just starting to get good!
  18. You might want to start another thread about the happy stuff. This one seems have turned into the injury thread about a new york second after you hit submit.
  19. It is tough. But it really does have to be all the team failures. It really makes you think about the number of players it seems to have happened with. The number of guys that have career resurgences once they get to another team is rather amazing.
  20. That is absolutely the only reason I have a clue where Kamchatka is.
  21. This must be the Benny Hill version.
  22. Maybe we'll get lucky and they're just a bunch of morons.
  23. Well.....if you refuse to pay for cable or any streaming services, sometimes you have no choice. Standing outside your neighbors' window to catch the game might be the only alternative.
  24. I for one, don't think we should be too overly concerned about the number of players on the injury list. I believe this coaching staff is super cautious with any issues to prevent a minor problem from turning into something persistent. They also have an obligation to report any time a player can't participate.
