  1. He's almost past Miller, the fact that Mahomes is losing his mind over this is a really, really bad look.
  2. I don't like Tyler Dunne either but I'm going to doubt that he's just making stuff up. It's in line with what we know about regarding his views on complementary football as well.
  3. It's understandable to give him the benefit of the doubt, I just don't think that leeway is appropriate anymore.
  4. Let's skip that drive then. The OT drive is worse.
  5. I fully acknowledge that Dunne likely has a bias here, but it seems appropriate to question the character of a guy who praises the 9/11 terrorists organizational ability and won't take responsibility, like when he reportedly blamed the offense for 13 seconds,
  6. I'm late to the party and I haven't read through this thread but I just want to point out how incredibly bizarre and wild this story is. Even if you want to give McDermott the full benefit of the doubt, this is a gaffe that's just beyond what'd you think is believable. It's like a sitcom.
  7. If they draft a WR in round 1 and keep the same O-Line then I'm actually fine with the talent. Shakir looks like a great depth piece, and a high investment in WR will take pressure off of Diggs/Kincaid. Knox is your RZ TE and Shorter might be able to work his way into a WR5-6 role.
  8. I never saw him pass rushing in a Bills uniform, so he's technically correct.
  9. He's been worse than a JAG. 150 some snaps and only 2 tackles. I've said this before. It's understandable, injuries can be really difficult to come back from. What isn't okay is that the coaching staff keeps throwing him out there despite the extreme lack in production, that's insanity to me.
  10. At least be the best in the 4th quarter. Decent to Great for 3 quarters and 32nd in the 4th can't and shouldn't be acceptable.
  11. Oh sorry, I wasn't talking about Von Miller, but expanding on an experience I had with a coworker who had a DV incident at work. I agree with you and that the situation is different with Von.
  12. You'd be right if it got to that point. The SRO didn't even make a report (I think), I don't think he was ever arrested.
  13. A few years ago a the husband of a coworker walked into the school we both worked at, and started screaming for her. When she came out into the hallway he immediately grabbed her and tried to force her to come with him. When she refused, he began to choke her out, in public. Two custodians (who happened to also be football coaches) and I forcibly removed him from the premises. He luckily didn’t fight back much, I think he realized that the odds weren’t with him. She refused to cooperate with the school resource officer who showed up soon after, even though it was blatantly public.
  14. GMs deal with this kind of stuff all the time. The Bills will be okay.
  15. What if we just replace the whole team with tight ends?
  16. Of course. I don't want to make it out to seem like I've already decided his guilt or innocence.
  17. This is wrong but my first thought is "Does he have a morality clause in his contract we can leverage?" EDIT: Just in case this needs to be said. Abusing anyone is wrong, but especially a loved one. It's horrific behavior that creates generational trauma. I'm not saying Miller is guilty, just that the act of domestic abuse is disgusting.
  18. We would have lost 1-2 games if that was the case. We would be at the top of the AFC if McD didn’t fail so spectacularly at the end of games.
  19. We needed McDermott to call a competent 4th quarter and we win. 32nd in the league during the 4th quarter over the last 8 games from our defensive head coach. Instead of blaming the side of the ball who got the lead with 1:45 left on the clock let’s call a spade a spade here. If the offense needs to be so much better then the defense is in the dumpster.
  20. "scoring rushing TDs at an unmatched rate" is what I said that you conveniently ignored. He's scored more touchdowns than anyone. You'd have a point if that wasn't the case. The pick was costly, then we marched down the field and took the lead again. Know what was more costly? The defense failing to get two stops in a row to end the game.
  21. It turns out that when you leave guys open the opposing quarterback is more likely to get completions. It's a mind blowing concept, I know, hopefully McDermott can wise up to this bold new NFL strategy of throwing the ball to guys who are wide open.
  22. You can if you're throwing 40+ times a game, and scoring rushing TDs at an unmatched rate and are a top rusher for your team. The average NFL game ends around 20-17. The average number of points scored by both teams is 46. If you're scoring 30 points you should win the game. This was a failure on the defense and the head coach primarily. It's a false equivalence to say the offense has equal blame.
  23. If they do go 5-0, it's because Allen is getting red hot with Brady at OC and they're blowing the doors off of teams. McDermott has shown without a doubt that he can't close out a game with his defense, you can argue whether or not it's personnel, scheme, or decision making but the numbers are out there. He's probably the worst 4th quarter defensive playcaller in the league right now.
  24. I try my best not to. Unfortunately a big part of my job is putting out (metaphorical) fires all day.
  25. My output goes down significantly in the last 25% of my workday too, so I can empathize. I don't have millions of folks watching me live though.
