  1. IDGAF what Sportrac says, OBJ is gonna get more than Patterson. OBJ is a legit super star, albeit one who has had a couple down years, Patterson is a never has been who became a primary weapon on a team devoid of talent. I want Patterson here, BUT what OBJ is doing in the playoffs is going to make him money and make Cleveland look even more stupid. He going to get over 10M next season and Patterson would be lucky to get 7M from a desperate team.
  2. Omg, you wouldn’t know good pizza if it but you in the @$$ if you think Rochester had great pizza. Buffalo’s pizza is equally as bad, but WNY sucks for Pizza. The wings, second to none. Raleigh, meh it’s all wanna be NYC pizza, but at least they are trying. The (reallllllly sad here) true statement made by a friend of mine, Wegmans has one of the best pizzas in Rochester. I suppose you think Mark’s is good? 🤮🤢🤮. If you say Cam’s or if you are a West sider and get those 1/4 pie slices out by the lake, I won’t disregard your opinion on all things food related, I’ll just understand you have a limited POV. Where you WNYers ever got the idea your huge slices of flavorless bread with a mediocre crunch, sauce and cheese could even qualify for pizza is beyond me. I can do better with French bread, jar sauce and pre grated mozzarella. Everyone that lives in NY should be required to go to Brooklyn or find a place owned by somebody from Brooklyn and get an understanding of why NY pizza is famous. Calling the crap in WNY, NY style pizza is as accurate as calling the Jets and Giants, NY football teams. rant off.
  3. I voted for the best fit and to me that’s Mariota. From a realistic standpoint, MT or Fitz. I’d also be ok with Bortles honestly, he’s as close to Allen as you are going to get, unfortunately it’s more like rookie Allen on an off day, but such is life. Winston should get a crack at starting again, so don’t see that happening and unfortunately Minshew is honestly too good to be a back up so he will probably either ruffle feathers in Philly or get traded to somebody that will start him.
  4. So you are saying there’s a chance we can get rid of Fraiser?! Yes!
  5. YAC is great, don’t get me wrong, but if you had the very BEST YAC, you would average 2.4 yards more per throw, so let’s say 40 throws, it’s 100ish yards a game, sounds huge! Here is where I have to look at the rest of it and say, take this team out of Buffalo Weather and the team would be first in every other category for passing. Sometimes it’s footing that causes no YAC, sometimes it’s a pass to the end zone that causes no YAC, sometimes it’s out routes that cause no YAC, sometimes it’s just the play design to get to the sticks and dive forward, get the first and move on. The other reality of YAC is more routes will be middle of the field to make it happen, which means bigger collisions. It can also mean your routes are shorter/quicker routes that give your receivers a seam to work and get more YAC. This offense, with Allen, didn’t get a lot of YAC because he holds the ball forever and throws deep, much easier to get next to nothing after a catch when the ball travels 30 yards in the air and the defenders have a chance to react for a quicker tackle. He also throws deep to the end zone A LOT, again, you get no YAC. The O was not a problem, there’s nothing that needs changing, with Allen at the helm and playing the way he does, you aren’t going to be a lead leader in YAC. Could more dynamic players yield more YAC? Yep. Throw a Deebow or Chase or Lamb or Hill on this roster and their raw ability after the catch will get you more. The cast we have is not a scary one, Diggs isn’t a burner, fast enough, but not a burner. Beasley goes down super fast to avoid being killed, Davis is probably the most dynamic WR we have and a lot of his routes are to the sideline. McKenzie and Sanders never really got involved, they should have been your middle of the field find quick catches and turn it into 15, but that didn’t happen, be it scheme or what. I think some areas that could make the O better would be more crossing routes, a few more quick passes in the middle of zones, we liked to go outside to the back quite a bit it seemed, and more dynamic guys in the field. This team lacks a true difference maker on O. I know I’ll take heat for it, but Diggs is a possession guy, he doesn’t strike fear in the D. Frustrate them? Maybe. Same goes for everyone on the roster really. Davis really is the only guy who has both size and speed enough to be a problem at WR. McKenzie has the speed and quickness, but something obviously didn’t allow him to be used more. Knox could be more of a weapon and got used as such a few times this year, but he’s not enough of a focus to scare teams either. If I were to tweak the O, to try to maximize output, I’d look to use Knox more in the passing game. I’d try to get the running game going like it was late in the year and use more play action and lastly, I’d let Davis take over as the #1 and turn him loose on more than sideline routes. Diggs will still get plenty, but I’d move him inside more and let him be the best Slot guy in the NFL. He can play anywhere, so moving him around more should get him more looks and make him harder to take out of games. Of course it is all so easy to sit here and say all that, but this team was great on O and the coordinator who made it click so well was good enough to get a HC job and I’m a nobody. There may be a good reason that we don’t see that he favored what he did.
  6. Dorsey bc he’s familiar w everything they did the last few years. I believe the deal is already done or he would be on his way to NY.
  7. Teams have been trying to figure out to stop great QBs for years. The thing is, the great ones adapt. Look at both Allen and Maholmes this year, the 2 deep shell was killing them early, they figured it out and destroyed teams that tried it until they came out of it. There’s only so much you can do, especially with the rules all favoring the O. If JA struggles this year it would be far more likely he has an issue with the new OC.
  8. I agree, but I wonder if the coaching isn’t the bigger problem. McClappy has never had a D-lineman with any major impact stats, is that to say he’s never had that player or his scheme is just soft? He makes DBs look good, but does he also make the front 7 look bad? I don’t know for sure. I can say for sure, the players they have in the roles they have them in on the front 7 are not getting it done.
  9. He definitely doesn’t have the balls to hire somebody that would endanger his job. The thing is, anybody that brings success would bring him success, unless he loses/has lost the team with his repeated screw ups in game. The OC should just be in line to move to the next team and he should be good. Number 1 question, can Sean do his job? I don’t believe he can, but I haven’t been a believer for some time now.
  10. Ehh, I’m not big on half year deals, very hard to make them work.
  11. 17 games mean nothing if you lose the last one you play, when the coach gets dominated again in a big moment and pisses away another whole season because he can’t do his job for 13 seconds, the whole season is a waste. Call him whatever you want, the point is, he’s not the guy to get it done. He didn’t deliver this team to the promised land, the Bengals helped backdoor him into the playoffs after he choked on the opportunity to do it himself. Then a worthless season, then Josh Allen put a team on his back and carried them as far as he could 2 times, only to have a ***** coaching performance get him steamrolled out. Once McDermott is fired and a real coach is installed, we have a chance, until then, his “don’t lose” attitude will be the demise of many more seasons.
  12. Ok, just do it. I’m sure The Bills feel compelled to let McDermott screw up another entire season before they admit he is Marv Lewis 2.0
  13. I wonder if Payton would like an OC job in Buffalo, paid like a HC and promise of the reins when McClappy screws up again?
  14. Cracks me up that everyone and their brother was crapping their pants about all the speed for KC, but the minute there is talk about the Bills taking a WR “ we don’t need a WR”. Really? I’m sorry, but fact is, the need is desperate. Diggs is a middle of the road #1, by that I mean he brings nothing to fear. Yes he’ll get open and get his catches, but nobody worries about him taking it to the house on them and nobody thinks he’s going to put jump you or is too big to handle. Davis looks like a true #1 with size and good speed, but the Bills have used him like he’s a 4th round pick that doesn’t belong on the field, so who knows? Beasley scares no one, and that’s it, the rest are fringe players. So yeah, a real threat for Josh would be huge. A speed WR who is actually good enough to get on the field is a big opportunity. You can’t double everyone, so if they leave Diggs one on one, he’ll move the ball down the field, if they double him, you can take the top off, it’s a major help. The Chiefs were so hard to deal w when they had Watkins, Kelce and Hill because you had to pick your poison. They were easier to deal with this year because there wasn’t anybody that struck fear in the hearts of the D outside of Kelce and Hill, they had other speed, but the guys that had it didn’t have talent enough to worry about. So yes, speed is needed, but Actual talent is the real issue.
  15. If they are smart, they try to get something from him. I agree, the guy was special, I would love to have him, but the reality of contracts is now a part of it. You can’t afford to sink 8M in a guy who hasn’t stayed on the field and give up draft picks which = cheap contracts.
  16. I’m NOT giving up picks for a guy that sees the field as often as I do. If we are going to part ways with somebody they want, make a player for player deal, nothing more.
  17. I’m hoping Dorsey is smart enough to realize you want JA, not Dan Jones as your guy.
  18. Well, was sure hoping that was gonna be Frazier.. hopefully he still gets a job.
  19. Depth charts always mean the most. Surely Beasley agrees he’s the #3 with almost 2x the catches of the #2. Now once the “#2” goes down, does the guy that replaced him become the #2? If that’s the case, does the guy he replaced, (Sanders) that winds up as his back up when he comes back, become the #4? Just trying to understand it all. Is Brady still Bledsoe’s back up? Or maybe McDermott is a guru for getting so much out of Nate Peterman’s back up.
  20. What does last offseason have to do with anything? 5th year option screws us for NEXT season.
