  1. I stop read the minute somebody gives Beane credit for White.
  2. His contract is guaranteed against injury, a bruised ego is pretty serious stuff.
  3. Glad he’s not the stadium designer, hopefully he uses that unique “vision” well on the field.
  4. Wagner is still playing at All-Pro level and Edmunds never has. That’s as silly as saying Tom Brady wouldn’t be an upgrade for Daniel Jones because of age.
  5. At least the Steelers are getting some revenue from their otherwise wasted first round pick. #lesserEJManuel2.0
  6. Private suites that somebody pays the tab for the food on lol
  7. Good for him, hope he makes more in broadcasting than he did on the field. I expect him to be great.
  8. Taxed twice and fees. Collect 10M get taxed 3.2M, buy 6.8M in crypto, pay 1% of that in fees and then get taxed on the sale. Or, be paid in crypto before tax, get taxed for it at EOY, hopefully the gains pay for some of the taxes. Kinda like stocks. Probably didn’t work out as well in this case.
  9. Well, obviously a lot of nothing here, but I gotta think Barkley is pretty much toast at this point, can’t stay healthy and when he has, he’s run like he’s afraid to get hurt.
  10. Your argument is valid, but nobody else was able to do what Ruth did. Wilt Chamberlain, same.
  11. It’s fun to feel like you are never out of it. Used to be third and 12 or more and you could go get another beer bc it was a punt upcoming. Now there’s no distance I believe they won’t get. Allen is an absolute super star.
  12. I’m going to be really interested to watch the Chiefs this year. Hill is a big loss, I don’t think people give him enough credit for their success. I don’t like the guy, but he’s an absolute game changer even if he doesn’t touch the ball. I wonder if we won’t see more “Bad Pat” this year as he gets frustrated.
  13. Josh had carried every single one of his weapons” to their best seasons of their career, it’s not hard to see, Allen is carrying the roster around him. Aside from Diggs, there’s not a game changer on the O and even Diggs is more consistent than spectacular. If Davis was as great as we want him to be, how did The Ghost of Manny Sanders keep him on the bench? So far he’s looked to be an adequate #3 WR. I like him, I want him to be the 1B this year, but until you do something it’s nothing. Beasley never produced like he did here and he’s so good he’s unemployed right now. John Brown, what can we say about JB, other than the guy should never be your number 1 and JA made it work. He had people thinking the Bills hit the lotto with Robert Foster FCOL. Allen is the Bills, without him, this is a sub 500 team. MaHomies had the most explosive WR in the NFL and the Best TE in the game to work with, along with a bunch of other speedsters. Rodgers also carries his team, outside of Adams he’s had nothing to work with for years, but he does have a better running game than the Bills. I don’t often say this, but I think Simms is spot on.
  14. Morse has been average and got paid as the best C in the game, poor value there. Beasley was way over paid for as well, though I did love him on the team. If you take a look at all the FA signings, it’s a big list of misses in all honesty. Guys who didn’t make the team, had to take pay cuts to stay or couldn’t justify being paid what we signed them to as soon as it was possible to release them. Diggs you gave up a first round pick for in a WR rich draft class and have had to pay him as a top player, which he is, but you could have taken Jefferson right in the same spot and got the same production on a rookie deal for 5 years. The Diggs deal ended up working out pretty well for both teams, but the Vikes ultimately won that deal and there’s no real argument on that. I think if you are honest with yourself, you would recognize this team is not a great team without JA. JA has made Every single WR he played with have a career best year, he’s carried the team to wins. The rest of the guys they have added around him are not that great aside from Diggs. Cleveland has a more talented roster and has 2 QBs with massive deals on their books, PLUS has 30M in cap left. The Bills are ina good spot, but Beane has not been anywhere near as great as this board wants to believe. Allen covers up a LOT. Aside from Allen, you could argue he has yet to hit in another 1st or second round pick ( I have high hopes for Groot, but he’s proven nothing yet). All of them have underperformed their draft spot. He’s done pretty well in the 3rd round and down.
  15. When you get the list narrowed down to Beane’s picks, we’ll talk. If that list of FA’s is good to you, I don’t think this is a conversation worth having to be honest.
  16. Spot on. If you took away Allen, Beane would be unemployed. His drafts have not been great, FA has been bordering on AWFUL. Guaranteeing Chris Ivory almost 3M anyone? Good lord. Overpaid talent has been the name of the game. His UDFA have been bigger hits than his drafts in general. The thing is, he has Polianitis, he drafted a great QB, even if he fails to do Jack ***** and that QB covers him, he looks great. It’s gonna be a great career for him.
  17. Nah, you are mistaking it for Binghamton, who made it that far, while IBM was still building computers haha.
  18. They are all ***** holes. They were built as industrial cities and all the industry died. Were it not for Binghamton University, the whole area would be dead.
  19. I would have been more excited if somebody from Costco bought it, it would have been great to get a $1.99 hotdog and soda, or a whole Pizza for the cost of a beer at most places. Either way, I’m sure they will get sweet volume discounts on numerous goods. Maybe they can get a decent deal on a herd of QBs.
  20. Never hurts to surround yourself with the best in the business, regardless of what work you do. Good for these guys getting out and learning. I think Groot might learn a good bit from C Campbell, very similar builds early in their career, if Groot adds weight, that may be what you have.
  21. A guy averaging 190 yards on 58% completions, not to mention atrocious ball security, he was looking like what he was in college, an athlete that got to play QB, not much more. Year 3, it clicked and he became the JA we see now.
  22. I think Danny Dimes can make a career in the NFL, he was over drafted, but he does have the tools. He’s been given a garbage situation to deal with. He’s probably more of a high end back up than starter, but I wouldn’t be shocked to see him make some major progress towards solidifying himself as a mid level starter this year. Allen looked like a bust after year 2 and that’s really where Jones is considering the injury last year. Year 3 has traditionally been the break out year for QBs. I still feel like he has a shot to come into his own.
  23. Fun topic! I’m struggling between Action Jackson or Beast Mode. Jackson All Pro Dareus TKO
  24. This is ALWAYS a point to consider when talking stats. The eras were so different. It would have been fun to see Kelly in place of Warner with the Rams. I feel like that would have been something special, it was a similar offense to the K-Gun, but in an era where passing started to take off. The Rams even had a similar team make up in that time Bruce, Holt, Faulk would be the modern equivalent of Reed, Lofton, Thurman. In todays world, he would be putting up 4500+ yards a year without getting beat up, it would be different for sure. I take nothing away from Kelly, but I still feel he was always in the “really good” category, not the “elite” group. That said, I put most guys in that group. To me, Brady has now officially created his own category, hate him, but nobody has done what he has done, period, end of discussion. Then you have the All-Time Greats, the Montana, Marino, etc. Then there are the HoF guys that we superb, that’s where I find Kelly, Aikmen, etc. In context, I also see Rodgers in that group because of his proficiency of choking in the Playoffs. Right now, there’s 3, maybe 4 guys in the league that even show me potential to be considered the elite, Maholmes, Allen, Burrow and Herbert, they all have to show sustained success to get anywhere near the real elite level. Maholmes’ start of his career is insane, hate all you want, but what he has done in such a short time is incredible. Allen looks to be catching up, but wins ultimately make a difference. Burrow is one hell of a QB without all the athletic traits you would love and has also started out really hot. Herbert , athletic freak, looks the part and has to make the team better, stats are eye popping.
  25. Yep, I agree completely. In todays world, I’d have him right there with a Matt Stafford, really good, but not in the conversation for “best”.
