  1. Does he need a D coordinator too?
  2. I agree, but I wonder if the coaching isn’t the bigger problem. McClappy has never had a D-lineman with any major impact stats, is that to say he’s never had that player or his scheme is just soft? He makes DBs look good, but does he also make the front 7 look bad? I don’t know for sure. I can say for sure, the players they have in the roles they have them in on the front 7 are not getting it done.
  3. He definitely doesn’t have the balls to hire somebody that would endanger his job. The thing is, anybody that brings success would bring him success, unless he loses/has lost the team with his repeated screw ups in game. The OC should just be in line to move to the next team and he should be good. Number 1 question, can Sean do his job? I don’t believe he can, but I haven’t been a believer for some time now.
  4. Ehh, I’m not big on half year deals, very hard to make them work.
  5. 17 games mean nothing if you lose the last one you play, when the coach gets dominated again in a big moment and pisses away another whole season because he can’t do his job for 13 seconds, the whole season is a waste. Call him whatever you want, the point is, he’s not the guy to get it done. He didn’t deliver this team to the promised land, the Bengals helped backdoor him into the playoffs after he choked on the opportunity to do it himself. Then a worthless season, then Josh Allen put a team on his back and carried them as far as he could 2 times, only to have a ***** coaching performance get him steamrolled out. Once McDermott is fired and a real coach is installed, we have a chance, until then, his “don’t lose” attitude will be the demise of many more seasons.
  6. Ok, just do it. I’m sure The Bills feel compelled to let McDermott screw up another entire season before they admit he is Marv Lewis 2.0
  7. I wonder if Payton would like an OC job in Buffalo, paid like a HC and promise of the reins when McClappy screws up again?
  8. Cracks me up that everyone and their brother was crapping their pants about all the speed for KC, but the minute there is talk about the Bills taking a WR “ we don’t need a WR”. Really? I’m sorry, but fact is, the need is desperate. Diggs is a middle of the road #1, by that I mean he brings nothing to fear. Yes he’ll get open and get his catches, but nobody worries about him taking it to the house on them and nobody thinks he’s going to put jump you or is too big to handle. Davis looks like a true #1 with size and good speed, but the Bills have used him like he’s a 4th round pick that doesn’t belong on the field, so who knows? Beasley scares no one, and that’s it, the rest are fringe players. So yeah, a real threat for Josh would be huge. A speed WR who is actually good enough to get on the field is a big opportunity. You can’t double everyone, so if they leave Diggs one on one, he’ll move the ball down the field, if they double him, you can take the top off, it’s a major help. The Chiefs were so hard to deal w when they had Watkins, Kelce and Hill because you had to pick your poison. They were easier to deal with this year because there wasn’t anybody that struck fear in the hearts of the D outside of Kelce and Hill, they had other speed, but the guys that had it didn’t have talent enough to worry about. So yes, speed is needed, but Actual talent is the real issue.
  9. If they are smart, they try to get something from him. I agree, the guy was special, I would love to have him, but the reality of contracts is now a part of it. You can’t afford to sink 8M in a guy who hasn’t stayed on the field and give up draft picks which = cheap contracts.
  10. I’m NOT giving up picks for a guy that sees the field as often as I do. If we are going to part ways with somebody they want, make a player for player deal, nothing more.
  11. Please make an Edmunds for Saquon deal.
  12. I’m hoping Dorsey is smart enough to realize you want JA, not Dan Jones as your guy.
  13. Well, was sure hoping that was gonna be Frazier.. hopefully he still gets a job.
  14. Depth charts always mean the most. Surely Beasley agrees he’s the #3 with almost 2x the catches of the #2. Now once the “#2” goes down, does the guy that replaced him become the #2? If that’s the case, does the guy he replaced, (Sanders) that winds up as his back up when he comes back, become the #4? Just trying to understand it all. Is Brady still Bledsoe’s back up? Or maybe McDermott is a guru for getting so much out of Nate Peterman’s back up.
  15. What does last offseason have to do with anything? 5th year option screws us for NEXT season.
  16. Davis is no number 4, he’s the only real outside threat on the team besides Diggs, but you can think whatever you want.
  17. Valid, based on current trajectory, I would be setting aside some good money for Davis. Diggs is going to be hard to let go of, but it comes down to dollars and sense for that one, if it makes sense ok.
  18. Yeah, and he plays like he’s 35, what’s the point?
  19. I’m not sure what you are watching Burrow, but the guy is a stud. His game isn’t running around, but he’s a lot like Brady in movement and taking teams apart, he’s WAY beyond his years. From a classic QB standpoint, he’s probably a shade better than Allen. Overall, Allen brings a more dynamic game.
  20. All really good young QBs. The fans of their respective teams will think their guy is best. I love watching Allen, he’s just not the same as the others, he’s really a better, young Favre. Hard to quantify, but amazing. Burrow looks like an athletic Brady. Maholmes and Herbert are decent athletes, great arms, pretty close to prototype players. You are happy to have any of them.
  21. Absolutely not to Johnson, he’s God Awful. Can’t catch, hard pass.
  22. First of all, you only had to do it once, if you feel compelled to do it again, Make them call it intentional.. you let them off the line 15 yards before defending, might as well at least try to slow them down.
  23. Really, they couldn’t find an equal to Edmonds lack luster play for $12.7M GUARANTEED? That’s just non-sense. Beane screwed the pooch and everyone with eyes can see it.
