  1. “Opportunity to possess”…. Which is where my curiosity stems from. A kickoff that enters the field of play as a live ball should probably considered an opportunity to possess said live ball.
  2. I quoted a section of the league’s overtime rule, but I have no clue if that would count as an “opportunity to possess” or not. There’s certainly a possibility that the refs might not know on the spot either.
  3. Out of curiosity, if a team recovers an onside kick to start overtime, could they have a walkoff win with a field goal since the opposing team had “the opportunity to possess” the ball?
  4. If you want one of those Valdez-Scantling might end up on the market for less than what Sanders was making. 🤷‍♂️ Its gonna be interesting to see how Beane approaches the draft and FA.
  5. Wright meant to say second best QB until Tyreek Hill or Kelce aren’t top talents or can’t be afforded.
  6. What team do you root for?
  7. Please elaborate? Those of use who aren’t into blowing lines are curious about your viewpoint.
  8. If you want the NFL to change their modus operandi don’t watch the rest of the season. If they lose a total market share of WNY & Ontario/Toronto the league will view things differently…. Any wishy wash plays will go in favor of Blo if they lose millions of viewers….. get drunk, but ***** the SB and championship games. The season is over and anything until the next season starts does not matter to us.

  9. Squib it and we may not be having this conversation……
  10. SQUIB THE DAMN BALL….
  11. It is if you call JA17 Miles Davis. 😉
  12. Bracketing Kelce with Edmunds and a db isn’t the worst idea…. Jam him at the line and stick him between Milano/Edmunds and Johnson/Neal could work well. Particularly if they jam him at the LOS and treat Kelce like a blocker within 5 yards. Groot and Epenesa will help with this. Their length/height created issues for him scrambling outside and hitting dump offs/screens outside.
  13. The Raiders are one of the few teams where they’re more likely to hire minority candidates by track record….. especially if Mark Davis wants to preserve his fathers legacy.
  14. Interesting. That means he have actually done a better job than it appears on paper. 😂. Is there a link or anything to that info?
  15. Sully is the festering boil on Eyore’s taint.
  16. I’m the Steelers defense….. at least they forced a punt.
  17. I’m a bit surprised that folks aren’t aware that the nickname “Angel of death” already belongs to Josef Mengele, and no one should touch it with a ten foot pole. Even linking to the slayer song about the guy…. It’s not like the lyrics are fantasy; the first word is Auschwitz…. 😬. Yikes folks. 🤦‍♂️
  18. Seems odd, but it’d be a soft landing working with a coach you’ve worked with before.
  19. Probably not. I really wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up being Daboll’s DC choice if Daboll gets a HC job. It would also satisfy the Rooney interview requirement for coordinators.
  20. Their schemes aren’t as different as they look on the surface. They’re philosophically very similar (limit big plays and force mistakes), especially with the backend where there’s a lot of disguised zone coverages. The big difference in the secondary is McD/Frazier use more robber and cover 3 than Fangio. Front seven is where the bigger differences are seen. Fangio likes to have 1-2 D linemen 2-gap and free up linebackers to make plays…. However, neither are big Blitzers and love to simulate A gap pressure with safeties and linebackers in 43 under and nickel. Fangio though tends to cater the front seven scheme to available personnel though, so he’d adapt if he had to. I think McD and Fangio could blend their defenses together pretty easily. I doubt that Fangio comes here though. It’s more likely that he latches on with an offensive HC to maintain autonomy, and he didn’t screw the pooch enough to need a career “reset”.
  21. Worst part is extra paperwork to pay the full tax burden of your state of residence unless there’s reciprocity. In the other states you basically get a tax credit for the taxes paid elsewhere. Basically…. If you live in NY or Cali you’re screwed. If you live in Florida or Texas you only pay taxes to other states. Most of the mid Atlantic and SE have similar tax rates to streamline the reciprocity which is one reason why I moved to VA when I was touring.
  22. I think a fair amount of folks devalue Wallace due to his physical limitations. While he’s not the biggest or fastest CB, his on field intelligence and experience make him an additive piece in our secondary where all the starters end up being greater than the sum of parts….. A long winded way of saying Wallace has more value to the Bills than other teams, and what might look like an overpay may be legitimate retention value.
