They mentioned Poyer being out at the beginning of the game. No need after that because Rapp and DH played great. Romo mentioned Von in the middle of the game with a “and this is without Miller” comment. Kind of lost in the shuffle with Romo’s adorations for Milano though. Props to them for pointing out how impactful Milano and Bernard are though.

Difference is that Allen, Mahomes, Rodgers, and Herbert have the arm talent to sling it without using their lower body. UCL on guys who don’t have to use their lower body can be more impactful. Either way they have to change the kinematics of their throwing motion which leads to issues. That said, JA17 should have gotten the benefit of the doubt, but certain folks in the media wanted to maintain predraft narratives for some reason. 🤷‍♂️

Allen trusting the supporting cast. We notice the backs and Kincaid the most in the equation. However, the biggest change is Allen trusting the interior line. He didn’t in preseason or the Jets game even when they were holding up. Now that he’s trusting them he’s climbing the pocket and allowing Dawkins and Brown to run ends around the loop then escaping through the C and D gaps, pressing the LOS - forcing defensive players to commit - and throwing easy completions with space for YAC. Best example of this from the Fish game is the pass to Cook on the sideline, but it happened several other times as well. If you go back and look at prime Rodgers and peak Mahomes it is similar. The best plays come when the tackles can ride DEs in a loop and the interior holds up so they can escape out of the C and D gaps. Go back and watch some Rodgers tape with Sitton and Lang at guard and you’ll see the same efficiency.

Adams’ has probably had enough of losing and Raiders culture to not care about sharing catches if it means winning and keeping his paychecks the same. Dude got accustomed to a winning culture and wants to be in one. Diggs probably wouldn’t care about sharing the spotlight either if the result was a SB. They’ve both been paid.

I’d imagine the Raiders would want the bills to eat some money and trade a player plus pick back though… Considering McDaniel’s roots it’d likely be Knox in the ask for cap balance; maybe a D-lineman like Oliver though. 🤷‍♂️. Hard to tell how it would go. Evans on the other hand would likely just be for picks, and as an add on for a 2nd-4th…. Worth it. We’ll see how things play out.

Edmunds under cut a slant and allowed Jones’ route to be a TD. It was talked about in the post game presser. Edmunds was manipulated to create space. They knew if he followed the drag they’d have Jones iso with Edwards or a free throw underneath, and if he dropped then they’d have an easy first down on the drag.

It makes me wonder about the progression, reads, etc. It certainly seems as though the primary or secondary read a few years ago was often Beasley. The trust might not yet be there with Kincaid or any of the slot receivers, but it probably needs to develop quickly for this ship to turn around fast. Agree on the bailing. We’ll see if that changes against less dominant defensive fronts. I don’t have a lot of faith in Dawkins or Brown to hold off Crosby this week though. I’m sure it’s not, but we’re not privy to all the requirements. Regardless, the options and flexibility that Pegula or Kraft has available are vastly different than other owners like Brown and Davis who rely on the team for income. That capital flexibility is one reason the Bills can restructure players whenever it’s beneficial.
