I was thinking the same thing and not just for Edmunds. What is the point of even playing the run anymore. Every middle linebacker should just play pass first and if they happen to hand off then go attack the ball. Maybe you give up and extra yard or two on a few runs. As opposed to getting the ball passed over your head in the zone the MLB vacated

If we get to the SB...any fear of Tampa Bay?

Bills can beat any team in the NFL but the Bucs have a better roster. Their front 7 on defense is bigger and more physical than our oline can handle. They are beat up in the secondary but will get healthier soon. They have speed and size at WR and go three deep at TE. Best hope is Bills find a pass rush with the front four and Josh goes off for 300/100 in the SB -

Week 1: Rams over Bears Week 2: Packers over Lions Week 3: Denver over Jets Week 4: Bills over Texans Week 5 : Dallas over the Giants Week 6: Steelers over Seattle Week 7: Cardinals over Texans Week 8: Cincinnati over the Jets - Bengals could have a let down game after big win last week, but the Jets are the worst team in the league.

Run Josh more on QB sweeps. If Josh is carrying the football by definition you have an extra lead blocker. How about running an effective screen once in a while - either to WR or TE. Josh has thrown some bad balls on these seemingly simple throws. Don't give up on the run too. One scheme I never liked is the designed roll outs. Seems like you are giving up half the field and condensing your options in a smaller space. That said they work beautifully sometimes.

Do players know immediately if a rookie is good or bad?

I think the OPs point of teams moving on from mistakes at the QB position is well taken. We see that more and more. Now part of it of course is regime change and wanting their guy. But as the OP stated its a win now league and you can't sacrifice your franchise and the other talent you have on the team for multiple years. -
One Thing You Still Want To See This Bills Team Prove?

Win the SuperBowl. I don't need any more stats or moral victories. All that matters is the SB. I give McD this year and next to win it all. If not by then and barring any significant injuries, then they need to find a new coach.
