  1. Good call. I agree. I looked at the LT list and it's pretty barren after Williams. A few young names that may yet become stars.
  2. 1. Aaron Donald 2. Patrick Mahomes 3. Aaron Rodgers 4. Josh Allen 5. TJ Watt 6. Quenton Nelson 7. Davante Adams 8. Jalen Ramsey 9. Cooper Kupp 10. Justin Herbert No LT in the top 10. Who is the best LT in the league now? Gone are the days of Walter Jones, Joe Thomas, Jonathan Ogden, and Orlando Pace.
  3. That could very well happen. In fact it almost needs to if they want to keep Oliver, Knox, and Edmunds. If Edmunds plays like a top 5 MLB this year, I would be in favor of that. Milano seems like a guy that is going to have a short career being undersized and an injury history. Of course there are many other ways to get cap space with restructures of Allen, White, and others.
  4. I see it as the young three + 1 - Allen, Mahomes, Herbert and Rodgers. Those four are the best four in the game right now. Burrow, Jackson, Prescott, Russell Wilson and maybe Stafford are the next tier. Brady is in a category all to himself. On any given Sunday he can still be the GOAT but he is not consistently as good as he once was. Then you have enigmas like Watson and Murray, followed by a host of unproven talent in Tua, Hurts, Lance, Fields, Z. Wilson, and Lawrence. Probably forgetting to mention a few.
  5. I promised myself no more Edmunds' comments until we see him play week 1. I'm sticking to that commitment. That said, I just don't think the team can afford Milano and a top 5 MLB contract. They have to pay Oliver and Knox soon followed by Davis. If they want a high priced MLB they will have to let Poyer leave and probably trade Milano at the end of the year.
  6. If you go with your 6 WRs, who returns kicks? I cant see both Shakir and Hodgins making it, but who knows maybe Crowder is the surprise camp cut.
  7. I am thinking of the Bills specific current situation. Bills have seemingly said McKenzie is not your return guy. In the top 5 or 6 there is not a good return candidate. Diggs, Davis, McKenzie, Crowder(2 punt returns since 2018), Shakir (2 KR and 9 PR in senior year, none of either as a Junior), and Hodgins(No punt or kick returns in 4 years of college). None of these guys are going to be your primary return guy. Therefore you need at least a 6th WR (Austin or Stevenson) to handle return duties, unless there is a DB on the squad that can do it.
  8. This could work. Only 2 QB and 5 LBs makes sense. That opens up two roster spots. I would still get rid of Kukerow if they are already keeping 7 WR and keep an extra linemen. The only way they keep 5 WR is if a DB is your primary return guy. They dont have anyone on the roster to do that. They are keeping at least 6 WR. Second, they have to make it to the PS first to be protected.
  9. Only Crowder and I guess if they wanted to give up on Shakir in favor of someone else or another position.
  10. Agree. I would say of the players that may not make the team, Ford, Haack, and Epenesa have some trade value. Doubt any would net more than a conventional 7th round pick or perhaps a swap of picks. Epenesa and a 6th for a 5th. Something like that. I suppose Crowder may be on that list too. I still have him making the 53 but choosing how many and which WRs to keep is going to be interesting to watch.
  11. Shakir probably stubs a toe and finds the IR list.
  12. Doyle beating Epenesa is interesting. Either Doyle got better(doubtful) or Epenesa is as bad as we think(more likely). Epenesa for a conditional 7th rounder will probably happen in a couple weeks.
  13. Over who? Kumerow? Shakir? Good problem to have.
  14. Agree on Duke. They will go with Singletary, Moss, Cook, and Jones as your four RBs. Probably dress all four too. Disagree on Tavon. I think he was a sneaky good signing. He should be better than Stevenson in all aspects.
  15. As above probably just a nod to the fact he has been here already, but Ford on 2nd team is interesting. Same goes for Epenesa ahead of Lawson. I think anything goes for both of them. I can see scenarios where both make the team and scenarios where both are traded or cut.
  16. I wouldn't read much into it. They have Boettger as second team and he had an Achilles tear. No way will he be on the active roster day 1. I see him getting an injury settlement and parting ways
  17. They need more emphasis on the head shots to the QB and less emphasis on the below the knee contact. There are so many times the defender starts above the knee and ends up below the knee and it is called a penalty. If the QB has the ball any body part should be fair game. Why is it ok to tackle the RB by the ankle but not the QB? Makes no sense. Call late hits regardless of where they occur.
  18. Thanks for the info. I read a toe injury set him back his second year, but sounds like even year 1 was not that good. I loved Cribbs.
  19. I went with Dallas because they have the best QB. I dont trust Hurts enough to win the division. I agree with Yolo though. Philadelphia has a better roster and McCarthy is terrible. Dallas has some nice e pieces on defense but their great o-line is no more. Dak is good enough to go 10-7 and that will probably be enough for the NFC East. Giants and Washington will be better but I cant see either team getting to 8 wins.
  20. Nice! Now a Spencer Brown sighting would be good to see next.
  21. 3 rushes for a total of 3 yards in 2021. Very short distance indeed. I agree they should be in less four and five WR sets. However I would do that with a single RB and two TEs with Knox and Howard. We are talking about the final 3 spots on the roster, so I'm not going to sweat it much. Like I said elsewhere I would have used his roster spot to keep an extra OL. I am steadfast in my belief McD overvalues special teams guys, but in Gilliam's defense he does more for the offense than Kumerow and Jones.
  22. My original point is I would not have Gilliam on the team at all. Therefore any cap space he took up could be used elsewhere as would the roster spot. I agree with you, that whatever cap space he does take up probably is not that significant.
  23. In theory you are correct. But no DC in the NFL gives a fart where Gilliam lines up. McDermott should care about the mess of an o-line they have right now more than his special teams.
  24. I know. I didn't have him on my final 53. I would use limited resources differently. I have more of an issue of the roster spot than I do the money.
