  1. This is absolutely comical. If Allen doesn't miss a wide open Diggs on a 90 yard TD and if Diggs catches a pass he beat his defender on a go route no one is talking like Diggs is washed. Doggs may be the finest route runner in the NFL. He never had elite speed or size. His decreased numbers were scheme and OC related along with Josh missing him multiple times. My only concern with Diggs this year was the drops. That should be corrected next year.
  2. Yeah this is what I was going to say. Probably a top 3 play in franchise history and it was a perfect McDermott red zone defense. Don't recall Josh Allen on the drought teams And remember he played Peterman on the road when Bills were in playoff hunt.
  3. George Carlin once said "Think how stupid the average person is and then realize that is the average". There are so many gross fans but Buffalo is no different than any other. I travel to a lot of away games. They are just as bad. Of course it is a very very tiny minority that do these awful things. As for game day home or away, I almost always sit in club level with the hope of pricing out and avoiding the average drunken fan.
  4. This is a good point. Ball control is fine for some teams but not when you have Allen. We need an OC that elevates Allen as a passer. We need an OC that opens up our passing game and schemes easy throws. Our passing game seems so lethargic and always more difficult than soem other teams. A better WR to go with Diggs will help too.
  5. This is the story of McDermott. He seems to make some adjustments early in the game but then when the other team counters he falters. That is a gross oversimplification but seems to be the pattern over the McD era.
  6. He was good but faded down the stretch. He was only signed because Miller was not ready to play at start of season. Miller will be better next year. They need to get younger on the edge.
  7. I dont think you are correct. In the Minnesota game Davis was running a post pattern right towards a single high safety. Horrible decision to make that throw. This was a deep cross against a two deep safety look. Shakir curled right into the open part of the zone and was wide open. Good play design. Josh read it correctly. Going up 4 is completely different than going to 3 or less.
  8. They were were run blitzing the middle that drive anc had already been blown up once. Running on first down was the correct choice however it should have been a sweep to the outside either Josh or a WR.
  9. Good for Falcons to give a black man a second chance! That said this is such a curios hire for a team that has offensive skill positions ready to blossom. Will be interesting to see what they do for OC and if they draft another QB
  10. Everyone so far has done a good job listing the top guys I think Allen is the best QB in the NFL. He wills his team to win despite his HC and guys around him not making plays. However I don't think he is a top 5 passer. I think from a pure passing standpoint he has regressed in the last two years. Perhaos some of that is the elbow and shoulder injuries he dealt with. You can say all you want that his INTs are as good as punts from time to time but let's face it his INTs have take points off the board. He just has to get better taking care of the football. And lastly just like Cam Newton he can't live on his legs forever. If he truly is Elway on steroids then he needs to keep evolving as a passer.
  11. If Allen doesn't miss a wide open Diggs multiple times in the final few games are we really having this discussion? Yeah I'm upset at too many dropped passes but Diggs is still a star. I dont want him fighting for one extra yard when it is not needed. Really? Was he checked out emotionally when he was talking up Allen in the Chargers game on the sideline?? Judging by this post I don't think you understand how the cap works.
  12. Draft is a crap shoot. Beane is fine most of the time. He wastes too many picks moving up in the draft. He has been lucky or good at finding late round guys that make up for his early round misses. Not prioritizing OL and WR in deference to defense is his biggest crime. He rectified that last year. Hopefully he addresses WR early this year.
  13. Pick up 5th year option then let him walk
  14. Overrated player coming off ACL injury. I'm not sure he would even made the team healthy last year, let alone next year coming off an ACL. Goodbye. They have 10 draft picks. they can use one of them on a very late round, running back or sign a street free agent that can do just as much as Hines can do for far less money.
  15. A true #2 or potential #1 WR is most pressing need. Honestly I,would prefer trading the first round pick for an established guy just as they did with Diggs if one is available. S, Edge, C, DT and another WR in no particular order. Draft best punter in the 5th or 6th round. Before the season I would have said OT. But now I think Brown is fine at RT. They can get by with Dawkins for another year at LT. I'd be ok with an OT in top four rounds only if they fill some other holes on defense in free agency
  16. That's not true. Some organizations have the HC report to the GM or Pressient of Operations or whatever title they have.
  17. Shakir was wide open in the endzone. If they were playing the end-zone they weren't doing a good job of it. 2nd and 9 to the endzone was fine. I would have called a different play but to go up 4 with less than 2 min to play you take it when you can. 3rd and 9 has to be a short pass that gives them the option of getting a first down on 4th down or kicking a short FG. You won't be shocked at the stupidity of his answers. You will be shocked at the media finally asking some decent questions.
  18. 1. I thought the media asked decent questions for a change to both guys 2. McD was quite defensive at the start bragging about the division titles and 10 win seasons and then saying injuries are not the excuse while of course implying they are the excuse.. He knows he is in the hot seat next year 3. Winner's mindset BS. I love how the final reporter called him out on that and asked that's fine but how does that translate onto the field? Brilliant on her part!!! Of course he had no answer because it is all BS 4. I think for the first time a reporter asked Beane if he could fire McD and now we all know what we excepted only Terry can pull that trigger. 5. Beane basically said McD gets what he wants - the example cited as deferring to McD if he really wanted to be the DC again I know I am a broken record. But McD is a barley capable DC with a superstar QB that wins despite his HC. If you think Diggs should go and Hyde should stay, you need to take a moment and really reflect on what you are seeing on the field. As for McD we are in lock step agreement!
  19. I donated $22 for TBass and $22 for moving expenses to get rid of McDermott!
  20. Kind of ***** he was interviewing even virtually on a short week to get ready to play. NFL should just put a moratorium on coaching hires until after the SuperBowl. Just like the players there should be a league year start date for coaching hires.
  21. Diggs is a superstar and the only player willing to call out this fraud of a headcoach. I love Diggs! He was right about Dorsey and McD tried to make him look bad in the media. Diggs is the only guy who won't talk the company line process and culture BS. You saw Diggs on the sideline talking up Allen in multiple games down the stretch. Did Diggs throw his QB under the bus when he missed him deep multiple times late in the season and in the Pittsburgh game? No! Yeah he dropped a few in the playoffs but he made more plays than he missed. We want more guys like Diggs not less!!!
  22. OP, Wait first you said Daboll system worked for Tom Brady and then you said it relies on the QB to run. I dont recall Tom Brady running the ball. Which is it?
  23. Some core backups like Dodson, Edwards, Van Demark and Isabella will return as well. Only free agent I would offer a contract to is Jones The rest can go and hopefully turn into a comp pick Draft: WR Edge S C WR OT DT P
  24. I called for Harbaugh after 13 seconds when I was in Portland. Nice of you all to jump on the bandwagon.
  25. Defense got old Guys like Miller, Epenesa and Settle suck and Rousseau has not developed Oline is much improved. Kudos Beane on that one Run game is better WR's are for sh!t Allen remains our only hope. Without superhuman Allen Bills lose by 20 at home to a weak Chiefs team. Beane tried and whiffed at improving the WR group. He picked a decent TE but the wrong one and a very good OG. He trusted Spencer Brown would play better and we were all wrong that he would not. Bernard played better than almost all thought he would. In the end all window dressing for the biggest issue We were outcoached time and time again. Pats, Broncos, Eagles, Chiefs all losses attributable to McD's defense getting savaged. They still have Allen and a lot of good pieces. The last two drafts have produced some nice players. A few strategic cap moves, get a better #2 WR day 1 of the draft, let Kincaid continue to develop, and replace some age on defense with youth and speed. And Miller might be better next season fully healthy. Tell McD it is SuperBowl or bust.
