  1. I'm getting really scared Chargers are better than the Bills right now. I'm convinced it will be Bills Chargers in AFC Championship played in Buffalo.
  2. I am getting the feeling the QBs drop even further and Bills find someone that wants on. They trade out of the first round and get another second round pick.
  3. Wow Minn didn't get much for a move that far up.
  4. I agree. I still think there is a good chance he goes CB in round 1. IF there is a run on CBs, Then I see an OL or WR in the guest round and Haden signs next week.
  5. Sadly there isn't much tape on Bo Dickerson was amazing. Saw him play in person twice - once with Rams and once with Colts. Upright running style that I dont recall anyone else ever running that way. Elite quickness and straight line speed and vision. Big strong and fast like OJ. Avoided contact though. Eluded tacklers with insane quickness and subtle moves that maybe only Tomlinson could match.
  6. I believe Bruce is better than Reggie White. But there are at least 5 OT I would take over Peters - Ogden, Munoz, Joe Thomas, Walter Jones, Orlando Pace, and maybe a few more. Peters is somewhere around 8 or 9th greatest of all time.
  7. Lawrence Taylor on defense Jim Brown on offense Jerry Rice is the best player in NFL history but if you need an all around talent to play 11 spots then Jim Brown is the guy that had the size and speed to do it.
  8. I agree. We have the star QB. If they can get 2-3 solid starters per draft and sprinkle in some key free agents each off-season they can stay competitive for years.
  9. I can see a scenario for each option. I chose trade up. I think a CB will fall and Beane will move up to get him.
  10. In Kyle's first three years he had 4 sacks and 150 tackles. Oliver has 12 sacks and 117 tackles. I do think Oliver has not played as well as Williams did at his peak. But so far Oliver has progressed nicely. I didn't like the pick at the time and after Oakland selected Quinnen WIlliams early, I thought Beane should have made a move up for Josh Allen or TJ Hockenson. But with Kyle retiring and Beane drafting for need as he does and should, Oliver made sense and he has steadily improved.
  11. He has gotten better every year. Easy decision to pick up his guarantee.
  12. Posted before, last year I would have been fine with Najee Harris in round 1. This year I would not even draft a RB. Singletary is good enough.
  13. Never heard of him until this thread. Could care less who announces the picks, but after reading this thread it seems really odd to choose a guy who isn’t more tied to the team history.
  14. Hughes was the best DE on the team last year. He would be no worse than third best if he came back. He would play about 35% of the snaps behind Miller and be fresh for the playoffs. Hughes would be a great guy to bring back. Miller has double the career sacks Hughes has and is a borderline HOF candidate. There would be zero chance he would be intimidated by Hughes or any other player in that locker room.
  15. Still see guys wearing Brian Moorman jerseys. Could he be worse than Haack?
  16. I went back to 2001 and have found only one draft that produced 4 starters in two years. 2017 - White, Jones, Dawkins, and Milano. And to say Jones was a starter is a bit if a stretch. That was the worst WR unit in NFL. That said there were several drafts that produced three solid starters. If Beane is able to do that then it will go a long way to adding lower cost talent to the roster.
  17. I'm with you on Hutchinson being overrated. I'd take three DL from SEC before Hutchinson.
  18. I agree. In most years there is not much difference between 15 and 45 and this year even more so. That is in part because no high end QBs will go early to push others down the board. You can spin a narrative anyway with reasonable logic. Trade up and mortgage the future to get a top CB. Stay put and hope a decent CB is left or one of the WRs fall, or worse case scenario get a solid OL. And then you can argue drop out of the first round and get an extra pick in 2nd or 3rd round. You lose out on the fifth year option but having four picks in the top 100 as opposed to 3 may be worth it. Lastly a lot could depend on what they do with Edmunds. Do they trade him and immediately draft his replacement? That would create several ripples in the draft order for the Bills. I would but I don't think Beane will.
  19. Would not be a bad pick especially if they sign Haden in free agency. Ford would surely be cut though that may happen anyways. I'd still drat OT over a OG as I'm not sold on Brown just yet. Gives them more position flexibility but I like Johnson. Would be ideal to go corner in the first and trade up in the second to get him.
  20. Except you are wrong about FO not drafting for immediate need. White (drafted by McD), Edmunds, Oliver, and Rousseau were immediate starters at positions of need. You can only make the argument that Allen was not supposed to start right away but obviously all the moves made by Beane were done to get a QB. So please stop with the BPA stuff. Everything else you stated is correct. Beane needs to hit on a draft pick or two in this draft to help manage the cap and as you said it takes a few years to know the true impact of the player. Oliver has gotten better at a position that is very difficult to play well right away. Edmunds is Edmunds. When Beane drafts a CB he will start day 1 and hopefully he gets better each week.
  21. Wow that is a tall order for any GM on any team even more difficult on a roster as loaded as the Bills.
  22. McD rarely rotates his corners. So a first round CB likely starts and plays 90% of the defensive snaps.
  23. 1. Beane does not draft BPA 2. After the FA moves, only makes football sense if they trade Oliver Don't see it happening
  24. Good thread. I appreciate greatness and therefore I would enjoy watching him no matter where he played.
