  1. Because for these trolls bashing Allen knows no limits.
  2. WRONG. What completely changed the momentum of the game was the defenses inability to stop the Eagles once they got hot. You seem to forget that the Eagles had easily gone down the field to cut the Bills lead from 24 - 14 to 24 - 21. That changed the momentum. Allen's INT after that was a product of his forcing the ball realizing that the D was falling apart again. What's surprising and a testament to Allen's skill is that after falling behind 28 - 24 Allen led the Bills on a TD drive that retook the lead, regained momentum and should have won the game. You and others are pushing a deeply dishonest take on what happened last Sunday. And you're doing it so you can bash Allen.
  3. Oh and for the record including all fumble rather then fumbles lost is stupid. Why not include dropped INT's or almost INT's?
  4. Just last year Dak threw more INT's then Allen playing in 5 less games. What I find ridiculous is these trolling cretins make you have to defend A BUFFALO BILLS QB who is one of the top 2 QB's in the NFL on a Buffalo Bills message board. What the FREAKING hell is that?
  5. Yep, Allen was perfect against NE. Allen saved McD in the playoff game against the Colts as the rest of the team appeared a bit off and the Bills D had almost a complete collapse in the 4th quarter of that game. Against Dallas, Allen WAS the difference. You make a good point in saying that in none of McD's signature wins did it appear that McD had actually out coached the opponent.
  6. My guess is that what "clutch" really is in the current NFL is having a high level of offensive self awareness. And this is something you won't get from a defensive minded coach in the same way you do from an offensive minded one. And what does a high level of offensive self awareness mean: * First, it's recognizing when you have THAT guy at QB. The Bills have shown that they have this level of offensive self awareness. * Then once you know you have that guy, Free Agency and the draft are focused against surrounding their elite QB with the best possible talent. The Bills ave FAILED to do this. * In game situations it's understanding when to press things offensively and knowing when to hold back. This includes when to go for it on 4th down and how to approach end of the half/late game situations. During games the Bills repeatedly show that they lack this level of offensive self awareness. So what to do? Fire McD and replace him with an offensive minded HC.
  7. And in all those games who shined the brightest among the players? As I recall Allen was formidable in those games.
  8. And the key word here is TEAM which includes coaching. I don't know about you but I would trade McD for the Eagles head coach in a heartbeat.
  9. Also Stroud threw a terrible INT late in the 4th qtr that handed the Bengals an easy TD. But the Texans as a TEAM rose up and bailed Stroud out grabbing a big win in Cincinnati. The critics of Allen's one INT simply ignore what Chris Simms pointed out: OTHER Bills are allowed to make great plays to bail their QB out and win the game. Like the Eagles kicker who made a 59 yard FG in a rain storm. Attaching ALL the responsibility to Allen is insane and leaves me scratching my head.
  10. This is bat feces crazy talk. The suggestion that the INT against the Eagles was a killer when Allen drove the Bills down for what should have been the winning TD in the last 2 minutes is beyond stupid. I guess by responding to you I'm feeding the trolls but damn there are a lot of trolls on 2BD recently.
  11. This may be a valid excuse against the Jags & Eagles but it is not a valid excuse against the Bronco's & Pats and but for the luck of the Irish against the Giants.
  12. No more insane then those throwing shade at Allen over this past weeks game against the Eagles. The FACT is that Hurts had a very bad fumble that contributed more to the Eagles losing the SB then Allen's INT did to the Bills losing on Sunday. And yes, Hurts was magnificent for most of that SB game just like Allen was yesterday. The problem as I see it are the double standards here in which Hurts is being given a pass when Allen is not. Now I believe both QB's should get the pass because in these games their one big mistake was overshadowed by spectacular play. But to deny the double standard is either insane or rooted in something deeply troubling IMO.
  13. Funny how that TO, much worse then the INT Allen threw on Sunday, is forgotten in the near universal praise of Hurts play in last years SB. Yet Allen who played better on Sunday is having his spectacular performance negated by ONE INT. There is something weird going on in the Allen criticisms as they're getting more unhinged as the season progresses.
  14. Chris Simms agrees: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=840417591418891&set=a.518766386917348 I've listened to the comments from some of the NFL talking heads on Allen and the Eagles game and the venom directed at Allen is astonishing considering how he played. It indicates something deeper, maybe even beyond football lurking here. To ignore the stats and what any reasonable NFL fan saw in that game to go after Allen is bizarre. It's clearly part of an agenda and since most of the craziest takes are from ESPN talking heads.......................... Consider the following scenarios: * How would we be talking about Hurts & Allen today if the Eagles missed that 59 yard FG in the rain? Hurts had TWO TO's that led to Bills points and only 200 yards passing. So all the talk about Hurts being "clutch" and Allen missing something is because the Eagles FG kicker nailed an incredible kick at the end of the game. A great example of an Eagle player bailing Hurts out. You know like T Bass failed to do. * How would we be talking about Hurts & Allen today if Allen had played as poorly as Hurts did through the first two and a half quarters? Well for one the Bills would have been blown out as there is no way they would have kept the game close let alone took the Eagles to OT.
  15. I agree with others who say that should the Bills go 5 - 0 the rest of the way and make the playoffs McD stays. I don't see how you could fire the guy especially if he then wins a playoff game or two. But should this happen there would still need to be a fundamental shift in the Bills focus from the defense to the offense. For the next two years at a minimum at least 60% of the draft picks and FA money would have to go to surrounding Allen with better offensive talent.
  16. Chis Simms speaks the truth. The hate being directed Allen's way by some NFL "analysts" has crossed over into something disturbing. There is no way after his performance against the Eagles is it warranted. IMO it outlines a deep seated hatred of Allen held by a large minority of these talking heads. Why they hate Allen would be revealing to find out but some of it comes from the fact that Allen made many of them look like fools for predicting that he would fail and never be a starting QB in the NFL. https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=840417591418891&set=a.518766386917348
  17. QBR was great and over 400 total yards was great and 4 TD's was great.
  18. Pegula should wait until after the season to remove McD. There is value in giving McD one last chance to save his job. If McD can rally the team and lead them to the playoffs by winning 4 or 5 of the remaining games then it would be hard to fire him. I don't think this has a snowballs chance in hell of happening but to prospective new coaches it will be a real selling point that Pegula treated McD as a professional and gave him a legit chance to keep his job. Compared to the chaos of the Raiders or Panthers this would be a huge selling point for the Bills.
  19. I remember an AFC Championship game played in great weather against Denver at Rich Stadium. The Bills won 10 - 7 and their only TD was a pick 6. The Bills Super Bowl years Defense was much better then the current D has been under McD. And when the O struggled I also remember stellar defensive playoff performances during he SB years against Pittsburgh (24 - 3 win) in the Divisional round and Miami in the AFC championship game (29 - 10 win). And that's what you get when defensive minded head coaches run the teams.
  20. You can count me in as one of the fools who drank the Bean/McD cool aid and got all excited when they brought these guys in. I fell for it hook, line & sinker thinking this will revitalize the offense and finally give Allen more weapons. It sort of worked for Bean/McD with Beasely & Brown but they missed on Kroft and Sanders and struck out with Sherfield & Harty. With the exception of the Diggs trade the Bills took the bargain basement path for pass catchers from 2019 - 2022. That is FOUR straight seasons where they didn't spend higher then a 3rd round pick nor sign anyone resembling a top flight WR/TE. And they did this with an elite, once in a generation guy at QB. It's coaching/organizational malpractice. Sure they took the bold step of using a 1st round pick on Kincaid this last draft. But for this coach and GM ti's a case of to little to late. But at least the next coach, who will be an offensive minded guy, will appreciate the Kincaid pick.
  21. So? Was it a pick 6? Where did the Eagles get the ball? Focusing on one mistake in a game in which Allen played spectacularly is weird. If you want to play the "coulda, woulda, shoulda" game how abut 2 missed FG's, a dropped TD pass and a WR that screws up his pass route missing the game winning TD.
  22. Sure that would happen. But if they took a chance on an offensive superstar who might have injury problems or who was approaching their "best by" date then it at least would show where the Bills priorities were. The high risk signing of Miller, every bit as risky as signing CMAC, told the world that Bean & McD favored the D over the O big time. Like I said, swinging for the fences on an offensive guy at least would have shown that the Bills had their priorities right. Instead this organization is wasting Allen's prime years by skimping on the O and yet has failed to create anything approaching a championship caliber defense. That alone is more then enough reason to part ways with Bean and McD.
  23. Harbaugh for sure. The OC from Detroit would probably qualify. Maybe Biennemy (before folks howl, the Chiefs do seem to miss him and he has gotten a lot out of Sam Howel), DaBoll if he became available. I think Reich might qualify as a "splash hire" for a lot of Bills fans. Now pair any of these guys with the likely available Saleh as DC.
  24. My guess and my hope is Pegula is already on to Plan B here - fire McD and make a splash hiring at HC. That would move sales big time.
  25. My guess is Romo recognizes the unique talent Allen is and resents the way the Bills and McD are wasting that talent. Chris Simms also falls into that camp. Add Bean to the list and if Pegula doesn't do the right thing this off season you can add him to the list as well. To waste a talent like Allen is a football sin of the first order. But given the Bills history would anyone be surprised if Allen forces his way out of Buffalo at about 30 years old and goes somewhere else where he wins a couple of Super Bowl's while solidifying his first ballot HOF career? It would be the ultimate case of Buffalo Bills football.
