  1. Yea that approach worked so well with Jerry and the Boys!
  2. Are you ignoring the first game?
  3. Actually better then I expected. I think we're now the solid favorite to win the division and get at least one home playoff game.
  4. This is a simple concept that IMO the Bills have completely disregarded in favor of playing complimentary football (balanced O & D). If the goal was to just outscore your opponent then the Bills would have needed to do what Miami has done and directed the lions share of their resources to the offense. Of course Miami has not been as successful with their approach as the Bills have been with theirs. The intriguing question is IF the Dolphins had Allen would their approach have worked better? I think the answer is yes.
  5. But didn't Allen make a couple of his best throws to Coleman after the trick play and his taking that hard hit?
  6. The three throws to Coleman were fantastic also. Even though he was running for his life Allen was actually sharp tonight. I am concerned at how little separation we saw out there from the Receivers.
  7. Yep that was a 33 - 6 beat-down in 1991 which was probably the best of our 4 Super Bowl teams. The Bills only had 2 FG's that game and the Chiefs out gained us 397 to 211 yards (info from Sal Maiorana's outstanding book RELENTLESS) Another bad Super Bowl era beat down was when the Bills lost 23 - 0 to Pittsburgh on Monday Night Football in 1993. More recently the Bills lost to the Colts in 2021 at Orchard Park 41 - 15 and a 42 - 16 prime time loss to TN in 2020.
  8. I thought Bishop acquitted himself well. Might be time to go with him and take your lumps with a rookie at safety.
  9. It's a long season. That record we have in one score games was bound to end and it did spectacularly tonight. The fact remains that if the Bills go 12 - 5 they've had a fantastic season and will win the division. Brady's trick play was a bad call and I'm not saying that in hindsight. When Allen is on the field no one believes he isn't ending up with the ball when Samuel is behind center. The Raven defenders flew to Allen on that play and blew it up. The only trick plays that will ever work is if Allen touches the ball first and then the trick play happens. Like those throws back to Allen for TD's that Beasley & Brown made. In defense of Brady though he had been excellent for 12 straight games (including playoffs) so he was due for a clunker.
  10. It's only one game but tonight the receivers are getting almost no separation. half of Alleyn's completions have been fantastic throws.
  11. But in today's NFL it wasn't a lot to ask.
  12. That miss is unacceptable in today's NFL.
  13. Joe Brady has just used up all the good will he generated in the first 3 games. What the hell was he thinking? You never and I mean never line Curtis Samuel up behind center when the gene is turning your way and you may be on your way to a grate comeback. What the hell goes through the head of these guys in the booth?
  14. Both the O and D line are getting whipped up front. Raven receivers are getting high school open. Two holding penalties on the o line. The only good so far is Allen who in spite of almost no support on the field is making plays and Bass for drilling a 50 yard FG.
  15. The answer to the question posed by this thread is YES, in fact HELL YES.
  16. The entire D line has been missing in action. This is the worst defensive performance by a McD coached team in Buffalo. The fumble by Jackson was more about his carelessness with the ball then our defense.
  17. I think he was better prepared then Ruhle. As I recall Carolina's scoring went down after he was fired. At the same time that was one hell of a jump from Saints quality control to LSU passing game coordinator to Carolina OC.
  18. I suspect that Brady won't be to quick to take a head coaching job unless it' the perfect spot. He was promoted from college to be an NFL OC way to quickly and he wasn't ready. He suffered through getting thrown under the bus and has to consider himself lucky to have landed with Buffalo. I doubt he makes the same mistake again.
  19. Looking at the score sounds like he beat the hell out of the Vikings prevent defense.
  20. What I took away from last nights game was that the NE defense looked very slow and tackled very poorly. They will be lucky to win 4 games this season. The Jets looked like a solid 9 or 10 win team.
  21. There were two throws on the 85 yard Bills drive that put them up 17 - 7 and set in motion the beat down that showed that Allen will still take a chance with a gunslinger type throw: 1) The first was at the start of the drive facing a 2nd & 11 at their own 14 whch could easily turn into a 3rd & 9 and then a punt Allen fired a missile to Shakir who was in tight coverage for a 16 yard gain. Poyer then laid on the late hit and the Bills were at the 45. 2) Later in that same drive facing a 3rd & 13 Allen extended the play and made a great throw for 33 yards to Johnson giving the Bills a 1st & goal at the 1.
  22. Herby still does college football which he's quite good at.
  23. It was the one play where Allen had to be superman and he delivered. We're leading 10 - 7 and it's 3rd and 13 from the 34. If we don't convert it's a long FG try. Miss it and game momentum turns on a dime. Instead he makes a spectacular throw to the one yard line and a play later Cook scores to make it 17 - 7 and we now have control of the game.
  24. That may be harder then it sounds given that Allen can go into beast mode when needed.
  25. I'm not sure that the hand was bothering Allen all that much. He took a lot of snaps from under center and he made a couple of wow throws like the one to Shakir where Poyner had the PF and the 34 yard dart to Johnson.
