Pretty sure McBeanes will stick to their 3 year old process of continually improvjng the roster, position group by position group and position by position. Great example is punter. Did they really need to dump Corey B? No. But they found a guy more consistent with inside the 20 kicks .. marginally better.. so they swapped out for him. This is what the process is. They resist single shiny overpriced objects in favor of multiple incremental improvements. Love it. Trust it.

Bills sign TE Jacob Hollister
ProcessTruster replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
nah, i think Beane is done at TE. They drafted and like Knox and are going with him this year. no expensive shiny toys at TE this year -

Goodwin - type. straight ahead fast, thats about it, from what I understand. deep safety takes him away. pass. -

What are the chances we resign Milano?
ProcessTruster replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to create what they call "generational wealth" that if managed properly will support his entire downstream family for 50-75 years. Gotta go for the big guaranteed amount. He blows another pec or hammy and its downhill from there... -
well there goes that backup QB option

Chris Simms Has Zach Wilson Ahead Of Trevor Lawrence?
ProcessTruster replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah, Simms is a straight shooter; doesn't really seem to be one of those to say things to just stir up views and clicks. I've never seen Wilson play so there's that, so there will be a bias towards Lawrence bc of his exposure, but Josh had no exposure and he turned out better than all in his draft class. -
I imagine his agent told him this was his last big contract, so probably should go for the biggest $$ . Can't imagine Beane was offering $31m ... he doesn't have $15m cap hit in 2021 to spend.. if he's spending $15m per year, spend $12 on Milano and get a much younger guy.. I'm not big on giving big $$ contracts to aging shiny objects... you end up with just them and a bunch of rookies and UDFAs

Did you play football, at any level?
ProcessTruster replied to Ray Stonada's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
agreed, but back then (in my case, I'm pretty old) if you blew out a knee they really didn't know how to fix them very well.. so best to pass in my case -

ProcessTruster replied to Ray Stonada's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was good enough, but not good enough for the recruiters to give me a scholarship to play (Colgate). So I didn't as I was pretty banged up coming out of HS (DE, OT) and could see myself getting blown up pretty good by much bigger guys at the college level ( I was young and lighter for my grade). Would have been fun to try to earn the scholarship after 1 year, but glad I did not. Pro game is very recognizable to me albeit executed with so much more size, complexity, speed and talent. The game is still pretty much the game. -
