Ok, I know we (and I) are all pumped to wipe these guys out tomorrow, but since Indy -- has perhaps the best Oline Bills have seen in a while (just as the Giants did in SB 25), -- a limited QB (just as the Giants did with Hostetler) -- has solid , big, ground and pound productive RBs (just like NYG with Ottis Anderson) -- a playcaller who was there on the sidelines for SB25 Won't Reich just play ugly ball, run the ball 40+ times behind that O line, throw short quick passes (they do this anyway) and thereby limit the Bills to 8 or 9 possessions in the game, just as Parcells did in SB 25? Bills play 90%+ 5 dbs and a fairly lightweight front 6 , discouraging the pass (successfully) and demanding that the opposition run the ball? I mean you can't score if you don't have the ball-- this is what happened in SB25. Game ended up being way closer than it should have been, as the Giants had the ball for 2/3 of the game. In the absence of Star, Quinton Nelson will absolutely maul any of the Bills D lineman. Sorry, I guess I am too old and remember how the Giants kept that game so close. For sure, if Bruce just gets Hostetler to drop that ball in the end zone the game tide shifts, but in the absence of turnovers and ST magic, I can see the Colts making this game slow, ugly and close. What say you? The comparisons of the what the Giants did and what the Colts potentially have the tools to do to slow down a high flying offensive team seem a little too tight for comfort. Go Bills!

Does the bills success continue without daboll?
ProcessTruster replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This seems likely. Both of them go to Chargers. Big test for McD to get it right replacing them. Not sure any QB in the NFL calls their own plays anymore. Just too much to handle . -
Final point differential rankings
ProcessTruster replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
every team gives those up. silly point. -
Locker room likely has very little to do with it. The big issue is I'm pretty sure Bills won't have the cap space next year to pay an experienced high quality former starter $4-5m to be a backup (plus, that is more then Josh makes right now... think about that). Do that and they may be saying goodbye to even more key guys than they already will be.

Why it was tough to be a Bills fan
ProcessTruster replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
most of these tie straight back to Ralph Wilson when in his 80's and 90's. Once he passed, the org joined the living of the NFL. Love ya Ralph, but for your last 20 years, you ran a local rugby club in what became the world's largest sports league -
Cam Newton - “Mentally tough”
ProcessTruster replied to RunTheBall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watching him throw the ball, he looks to be pretty much done to me. Looks like the injuries have finally taken their toll. Guy had a great run. Ride off into the sunset young man. Go raise your family. -
at one time the 17th game was thought to be out of the country (mexico city, london, toronto :|, places like that) .. not sure how the league gins all that up in the covid world with only 8-9 months until next season, but that was one thought back during the CBA negotiations. this way, no team has home field advantage

Aight....who's got tickets?
ProcessTruster replied to The Firebaugh Kid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
no tailgating, limited concessions, spread out...no interaction with other fans....$60+ swab in the brain... well I guess it is something... those fans at the GB/Titans game last weekend looked mighty cold and alone 😐 -
Good $ move by Marrone at the time. So smart of him to put that clause in his contract. He knew Ralph was on the way out and protected himself. And sure enough got caught smack in the middle of an owner transition where he was unlikely to be kept, as Pegs would likely get their own front office and coaching staff. Smart guy/smart agent . I thought it was brilliant career management at the time and still do. And he dropped into a really good HC situation in Jax and had a good year there until Bortles turned out to suck and Tom Coughlin the dictator a-hole drove all the good players get away. As Bills fan know oh so well, without a franchise QB in todays NFL, you are just spinning your whells. So say want you want, but the guy went 9-7 with the Bills, Pegs said no, then he had Jax in the AFC title game, so there's that.

make sure the rest of that team is clean. they could crush our season by infecting a bunch of our starters.

Should a losing team go to playoffs?
ProcessTruster replied to BananaB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
no problem with it. in fact would be cool to see comeback player of the year Alex Smith QB a home playoff game. So impressed with his whole story. -
Agreed. The moon and stars have definitely lined up this year. Go take it while its there for the taking! Titans are banged up now, KC coming back to earth (?), Pitt looks average, lets go take the conference. Saints/Packers super scary with HOF QBs but lets leave that for later!

What to do with Dawson Knox
ProcessTruster replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let him grow. Just like they did with Josh. He'll be better next year after a full camp, etc. Year 3 should be good. Bills will be losing a bunch to FA next year with the low salary cap and will need to reload elsewhere. -
Unless what happened to the 49ers happens to the Bills. I get that this is a fan board and everyone's excited (including me) but rashes of IR injuries to key, high cap hit players end seasons, that's a fact. The 9ers proved that this year. And you'll all be calling for McBeanes heads if it does, which would be insane, but again, this is a fan board. If the Bills stay healthy, I am with you 100%. But we know what this team looks like when just a few guys are down (eg. Josh, Milano, etc for the KC and Titans games) combined with some adversity (Covid stuff). What if Josh/Milano/Hughes/Poyer are down for the season, as JimmyG/Bosa/Thomas/Ford were for the 49ers this year??? Everything changes, as they are not replaceable in the short term. Just sayin', all the hoopla about the Bills future is under the assumption they have their roster for most of the season. And the massive $$ Pegulas put into the fitness facilities along with McBeanes refusal to rush guys back from injury (etc. Milano) I believe are helpful in this. Go Bills. Just enjoy it. I am. Leave the future in the future.
