  1. running game will be fixed with offseason moves. Roster is what it is at this point for this season. FA RB signing plus Doyle probably starts, plus other moves. I think they know what they are doing ... not concerned. They ran it well in the 2nd half vs TB.
  2. W-L is 22-10 last year and this. Win 2 out of 3 games over the long term and I'm just fine. Probably finish 2020-2021 25-11. I'll take that . Solid football program. Cinci, Ravens and Stillers also lost this weekend. Everyone all bunched up now, and we have the soft part of the schedule coming up.
  3. nah, most of the guys on this roster were in college or on other teams for the vast majority of games when Brady was shredding the Bills. Fans remember, but players also play and think week to week. Besides, they are not playing Brady, they are largely playing the TB defense. Brady will get his points.. Bills O will need to outscore them today IMO. And I believe they will.
  4. nah. just another game. I can see them running the table after this either way
  5. I think this team will be prepared to compete hard in this game, just like all the rest. I don't like Star and Tre being out, but AB is out for the Bucs and a couple of their O linemen may be out or limited. So D will fight hard . On O, Josh and the passing game should be able to light it up assuming Josh is upright or gets out of trouble. If Josh is allowed to be Josh, Bills should put up 30. Not sure that'll be good enough, but it'll be good. If it's not good enough, win 3 or 4 of the last games and go compete in the tournament.
  6. "Maybe I've turned into a cynical grumpy man in my old age," exactly. you're chasing a bogeyman IMO. but it is true that the $$$ in this league is outrageous (but we fans are the ones driving it, so shame on us for spending our free time on it. in contrast, MLS is sport played in big stadiums in big cities but relatively few US sports fans care about it enough to make it a big money attraction.
  7. agreed. his mistake was taking the bait when media asked him about it. I don't think coaches should say anything meaningful or address questions directly right after a game, especially a night game. emotions are frayed and the media takes advantage . BB has it right.. don't say crap right after a game. the media can go pound sand until after the HC has had a chance to see the game tape
  8. exactly. the team was onto the next game 3 days ago. fans are still peeing in their beer
  9. hate that childish horn bs... no alternative. the freakin fans know its freakin 3rd down , for g-ds sake.. geez was at the Jets game and their 3rd down thing is embarrasing. it all needs to go away
  10. who is down on the mcBeanes? no one I know. Stop posting crap that has no basis. now that the cap is increased they can get busy this offseason in ways they couldn't do last offseason. relax people. think.
  11. D. Chris Godwin will eat Dane Jackson alive. that will be hard to watch O. Bills WRs/TEs will eat TB back 5 for lunch. Assuming Josh is upright long enough to find them. Should be a competitive game. Lets go play it.
  12. bring him back here when Trubisky leaves for a starter gig. why not? the guy can play.
  13. Eric Moulds as well. Sad state of affairs. Nine more fatherless children. Terrific.
  14. Bills have a chance to run the table (after getting stomped by TB), so 11-6 is on the table. That should do it.
  15. not looking good , Vea, Suh and Barrett will feast on Bills O line. Hope Josh has his running shoes on, he'll need them
  16. hmmm,,, yeah, maybe. pretty raw guy, but hey might be worth a try. he was pretty dynamic against a good Miami defense. RBs are pretty much interchangeable, unless they have a fumbling problem. I like it
  17. but you ran in a second with the Pats and Rams home wins last year, which were beyond lucky and were nearly certain losses until wacko fate intervened . can't have it both ways
  18. As my screen name suggests, I'm less into any particular game and moreso into whether the organization is growing in competitiveness and quality. If that is happening, then even with the ups and downs of the season (due to intermittent injuries to key players, crazy weather leveling the playing field for a single game, for example) the winning record and playoffs will happen more often than not. So no, I don't get worked up over any one game, be it one-off blowouts of severely depleted Jets or Saints teams playing crappy backup QBs (who have good rosters but didn't have them for our game) or losing a game pretty much played in Antarctica. Bills are a strong team and will be winning approx 2/3 of their games over the next 3-4 years IMO. McBeane's process has worked and is working. I'm interested in long term competitiveness, the wins will happen. Playoffs are a crapshoot as any single elimination tournament is, so that is less predictable.
  19. with McD's "do your 1/11th" mantra, which is fine, no need to pay top 5 money to anyone on defense... just get guys who can do their 1/11th... calling Edmunds the Bills "middle linebacker" like it means Dick Butkus or something is wrong, he's just one guy who happens to call the defensive set and then goes and does his 1/11th... which he struggles with on run plays. so yeah, interesting decision this offseason on him, probably offer him Milano $$ and see what happens. If he leaves, he leaves. Very fortunate the Saints did not have half their offensive roster or any of their skill guys. They'd have run over this defense as well. Teams have figured out the Bills defense ... just run it at them and run it some more
  20. If Bills split with the Pats and beat the Jets again, they win the tiebreaker for the division if they have the same record as the Pats at season end. So losing tonight is bad, but not fatal.
  21. when you start out 0-7 don't matter much how hot you get I believe we will see both the phins and jets next year.. but that's next year
  22. amazing that cancer is still on any roster
  23. When I had lower bowl season tiks years ago at the beginning of the drought (Bledsoe years), Pats fans would buy from Bills season tickets holders and fill the Club seats.. really bad vibe. Given the level of data analysis available today, does anyone know if there is a zip code analysis of StubHub/Ticketmaster buyers to see how many NE fans are coming? I believe there was some analysis available for how many Canadian citizens come. Really hoping 5,000 club seat and lower bowl season ticket holders did not sell their tickets to those guys for a national home game in prime time.
  24. well, with the entire roster back for the Bills on MNF (less Tre of course), with this game and the one 2 weeks later, we are going to find out. LFG
