  1. ...And perfected it as a primary offensive philosophy. The Bengals version was not a "true" primary no-huddle offense, as it still involved huddling up, just shortened or closer to the line than usual, or at the sidelines, so still slower than the how the Bills ran it. The Bills ran it in its purest form, imho. I don't want to take anything from Wyche, as you're absolutely correct about the Bengals being the first to run any part of it as more than just a gadget type of 2 minute approach, but to say that his version was just copycatted by Marv would not be fully accurate--the Bills made it their own with significant upgrades, no question. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurry-up_offense
  2. Convicted of civil “wrongful death.” Has dodged the Goldman family ever since. Listen to the deposition recordings from The civil case sometime—he crumbles under the questioning and the case is basically laid bare, but draw your own conclusions.
  3. In the words of Don Rickles in the under appreciated “Dirty Work,” why don’t you get a horse and go to the mountains someplace and don’t bother people, OJ.
  4. I was kind of surprised they had that kind of CGI budget for a local production. Things must be selling well over at West Herr
  5. Exactly. No speed to see whatsoever here...
  6. And it's now too warm to be outside today...
  7. In theory I should be working Friday for end of month also. In practicality, I will be doing my best to improve on this afternoon bounce-out move that didn't end so well...
  8. I admit I chuckled. Sure it could’ve been funnier with a better script but it still beats having to watch another insurance commercial any day, imho.
  9. XXVIII is right up there for me, as the Bills actually were in control of that game into the 3rd quarter against the vaunted Cowboys...
  10. In actuality, @Joe in Winslow has had no problem calling out DEM BILLS plenty of times even recently, whether for some of their draft moves this year or for their engagement with the 90’s greats being too much—so this take is just plain wrong.
  11. C’mon bro, it’s the offseason, and frankly I think we ALL have seen threads started that were truly a waste of time. This one is legit given the return from injury unknown for Milano. Let’s lighten up a bit.
  12. Had to listen to the radio call on CBS Westwood One network of stations; can’t remember the name of the announcer but he was great, matching my rising hysteria in the 2nd half!! A defining moment as a lifetime Bills fan—we’ll always have that shining moment to go along with the SB losses
  13. Also rampant in the legal profession that I’m in; a lot of legal advocacy consists of cherry picking the most one-sided precedent you can find to present to the judge adjudicating whatever the matter happens to be.
  14. They were just beat out in the honorable mentions by the tandem of T Edwards/Jauron, unfortunately
  15. Flat out shocking to see Jauron elbowing his way to #10...just shows the degree of ineptitude this franchise that we are lucky or unlucky enough to love, has suffered at the hands of football ignoramuses through the years with few notable exceptions. Here’s to hoping we have turned the corner!!
  16. Milli Vanilli—but only if they can bring their prerecorded vocals dub tracks with them.
  17. Would it be asking too much for the red end zones to come back? And the red helmets for that matter?
  18. Just because it’s fluff doesn’t mean it’s not true. Carry on.
  19. What stands out for me concerning Beebe's time as a Bill: --Earned the nickname "Steeler Killer" for this gem of a game on 9/8/91 (10 grabs, 112 yards, 4 TDs) https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/199109080buf.htm --Infamous Leon Lett Super Bowl character/grit example--found a pretty cool random article about the impact of this play in folks' collective memories--favorite line is ''I know you won your ring in Green Bay,'' he said, ''but you won our hearts here (when you were) in Buffalo": http://chautauquasportshalloffame.org/banquet2016.pdf https://rbj.net/2018/02/01/don-beebes-never-say-die-play-is-still-super-25-years-later/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqGNTUQSuPM --One of the fastest 40 times ever clocked (admittedly hand-timed) at 4.21 seconds (must be truth to this however, given the amount of ground he had to reverse field on to catch Lett in time) https://www.thesportster.com/football/fastest-forty-yard-dash-times-in-nfl-history/ --Oh by the way, dude played in 5 super bowls, would've been 6 if he hadn't broken his leg shortly before XXV. And of course he won the championship with Green Bay. Legendary? Obviously to each their own as to how to define that based on the OP's argument, but in my book he's right there.
  20. Losers. Can't say I will shed any tears if he and the mother encounter some semi-similar prison justice. No quarter for anyone who hurts a defenseless child like this--I trust the child's soul has found peace that she clearly never had while here on earth.
  21. The Bills scored their 1st TD on a drive where they never even had to convert a 3rd down, FWIW. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Bowl_XXV "First Quarter The contrast in strategies was evident during the first quarter. After forcing the Bills to punt on the opening drive of the game, the Giants consumed 6:15 off the clock by marching 58 yards in 10 plays to score on a 28-yard field goal from Matt Bahr. In that drive, New York ran five rushing plays and five passing plays. However, the Bills struck right back on their ensuing possession with a five-play, 66-yard drive that took 1:23 off the clock, including a tipped 61-yard completion from Kelly to wide receiver James Lofton that set up Scott Norwood's 23-yard field goal to tie the game 3–3. After forcing the Giants to punt on their ensuing possession, the Bills' offensive strategy started to work to perfection. Kelly led the Bills on a 12-play, 80-yard scoring drive that consumed 4:27 and moved the ball so effectively that the team never faced a third down. Kelly completed six consecutive passes (four to Andre Reed) for 62 yards, and running back Don Smith capped it off with a one yard touchdown run to give Buffalo a 10–3 lead early in the second quarter. Smith's touchdown run was his only carry of the game and the last carry of his career. Reed's 5 first quarter receptions were a Super Bowl record." (emphasis supplied).
