  1. 24. Loved the real-time narration premise, Kiefer was great as Jack Bauer, and it was appointment viewing with my buddies during my bachelor days. However, it ran for almost 10 years and I lost interest with the progressively weaker storylines ca. Season 4 or so, jmo.
  2. Well, this is one surefire way to deflect attention away from his broadcasting skills and breaking the Pro Bowl trophy...well played Mr. Witten, well played!
  3. This is why it's such a crapshoot to go on TV and start handing out letter grades for all teams' drafts, as a draftnik---meanwhile, Johnny Football is basically a Ryan Leaf level bust.
  4. Sad, in more ways than one. For the sake of himself and his loved ones, you hope he pulls it together to fix what's obviously very broken in his life, he just hasn't shown much "want-to" up to now. How many more chances are left out there?
  5. With Daboll calling the plays I'm more worried about how many points he thinks we need to score/gm on average than McD, who obviously gets it, and did all along as far as I'm concerned. I do think that we are going to see significant improvement on the O this year--how could we not? An established starting going into the year, draft picks that hopefully will make instant impacts, and a couple of key FA pickups that hopefully all coalesce into being competitive week in/week out!
  6. Too bad for the Fins this smarty pants wasn’t able to provide Kiko with the coefficient times variable calculations necessary to properly align his angle of attack on Josh Allen’s shake n’ bake thunder thighs! Numbers schmumbers. But welcome aboard regardless.
  7. How dare you sir?! He’s a prince and good for it—royalty sometimes needs a handout too when stuck somewhere with lost luggage in a foreign country well away from the comforts of the palace...next time read the emails a little more closely!
  8. Yep, so glad we ended up with “wrong josh!” Can’t wait for this season to get rolling, haven’t been this psyched since 93 I think ?
  9. So the most recent case of an owner who was basically forced to sell given the allegations against him, Jerry Richardson, begs the question, how comparable is the seriousness of the conduct? Richardson was accused of making inappropriate overtures/statements for the most part. So there is definitely precedent to push an established owner out the door. But who knows? http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/21798557/carolina-panthers-owner-jerry-richardson-selling-nfl-team
  10. I have not seen any of our fine Patriots poster contributors around this thread yet, although admittedly the posts are coming through so fast it's hard to keep up and know for sure. Congrats Yolo, apparently this could be the most heavily commented OP in a minute around here. Right up there with "Someone needs to be fired immediately for Mahomes."
  11. LAMP: Can't wait for Return of the Pats Memes Part III, coming soon to a 2019 season near you during Patriots week!
  12. And I’m sorry, but someone of his age/life experience has to know that the “masseuses” working at this spa where he’s been a frequent flyer are in some cases (maybe most?) not there by choice. That adds to the egregiousness, imho.
  13. Somewhere Roger is busily checking his score cards from the 2015 statements Robert leveled against him during deflate gate.
  14. Truly am shocked that none of Kraft’s billions could find a way to keep this little news nugget from coming out! And that he would take such an obvious risk of being discovered in the first place. Just goes to show you sometimes the smartest guy in the room is still just a “patsy.”
  15. You would think a significantly larger radio market here in ATL would result in high quality sports radio talk shows, especially given the additional local pro teams (Hawks, United, Braves) besides the Falcons to talk about, plus the Ga Bulldogs in college, but then you would be wrong. I feel similarly about most of the local radio “talent” here and usually stream something else on my drives, including WGR—maybe because I’m usually jonesing for anything Bills talk, but I don’t mind OBL—they just don’t have a lot of original material to work with during the off-season, and I know that already going in and don’t expect radio HOF stuff.
  16. Speaking from experience with my first "real" high school job, the key is the age of the fry oil they're dunked in. Our manager would always be on to us to check the coloration and smell of the fryers, as the oil will tell you itself when you need to change those puppies out. Nothing better than fries right out of a fresh batch, and conversely nothing worse than getting the last batch, as you all already know. Side note, give a smile out to those people working there at that thankless place--it's hard work for little pay (should just be a starter job for most people imho) and the grease residue literally sticks to all of your clothes when you leave your shift. But it did teach me a lot of lessons as a teenager about what I didn't want to do with my life, lol.
  17. You sir, are clearly front office material. I like it!!
  18. NFL players are always looking for that extra bit of motivation (or more specifically, their coaches are), and I love that JA has embraced the job of proving the naysayers wrong--that should hopefully drive us all the way to the championship in short enough order. For Pete's sake, even the Pats manufactured motivation this year out of being "underdogs...no one believes we are legit anymore...(blah blah blah), so you know the extra juice matters. That said, I am glad this was in response to a specific fan's request (apparently) rather than from him, since we don't want Jalen to get any "extra motivation" in turn, lol.
