  1. Le Batard handing out “trash” awards? LOL, What does that make Kiko & Co.?
  2. With all due respect, that’s absolutely not what was meant by my post. Do you really think that someone like me who came of age with the Kelly led Bills (my avatar I know is cryptic on this point) is fine with heroic marches” to 7-9?? Please. 13-3 is more my thing. What I will do however, is give deferential benefit of the doubt to the first regime in a friggin generation that got us into the playoffs and have at least a long term plan in place and a promising young franchise QB to boot. That said, I think we both want to see the same thing this year—big steps forward on O. How we get there? Reasonable people can agree to disagree, that’s part of the fun, right?
  3. Breaking the bank for a 31 year old with a Whaley-type long term contract & ton of guaranteed ?, who is one of the least “team oriented” divas we’ve ever seen? Yep, I’ll stick with the process happily as we move forward in FA and the draft. We will be just fine without him, mark it down. But again, they took a shot, can’t be mad at them either way.
  4. Meh, it’s all good. Would’ve probably ended up as a one year rental that couldn’t really be built around, more drama after the shine wears off than worthwhile. Nonetheless I applaud the Bills for kicking tires where they can.
  5. At bare minimum, launching the football in a celebratory arc out of the stadium end zone and into the TBD parking lots seems appropriate.
  6. My only quibble with your picks at this point would be flipping the Pit and last NYJ results, but other than that can’t really find a good enough reason (with nothing going on right now really) to say you’re off elsewhere. Wonder if we can sneak out a W finally against Brady at some point though??
  7. Always liked Trebek, this is very sad news. Wishing him a victory against the odds!
  8. Best: Star Trek II ("Wrath of Khan”) Worst: A Christmas Story 2
  9. -Orig. 24 w/ Kiefer Sutherland -Seinfeld -Seaquest -3rd Rock From the Sun
  10. I think it's safe to say that any shifting with the winds "bandwagoners" who jumped on in the 90's, jumped back off oh, I dunno, 17 or so years ago for bigger bandwagons elsewhere? Those of us still around who came of age during that fantastic run, have more than proven our loyalty bona fides by still being here a generation later, with nary more than a solitary playoff game to show for it! I believe the "4 Falls of Buffalo" and/or the ESPN 30 for 30 "From Elway to Marino" mentioned that "secretary flub" episode too?
  11. Kelly has often said himself that the last thing he expected was the hero’s welcome that he received when he did finally come back to Buffalo like the prodigal son—and the rest as they say is history. Personally I’m glad I was too young to have experienced the dash to Houston in any meaningful way, so that all of my football memories of him are basically from 90 onwards as a Bills fixture already. Also, I’d say he’s more than made up with the community by this point, and bleeds everything Buffalo.
  12. That one I am not familiar with--but is it worth locating/watching?
  13. The original “Office” also started out across the pond and you can actually find some of the original pranks on this one that were redone in the US version (like the jello covered office supplies)
  14. Fawlty Towers—if you’re a fan of John Cleese (comedic genius) then this is must-see
  15. Lots of TV show themed threads here recently, I thought I’d throw in another one, kind of a niche segment, but sometimes that Brit humor just seems to hit the spot. Any favs? My list in no particular order, would have to include: -Come Fly With Me -Keeping Up Appearances -Are You Being Served?
  16. Like a few others here, I followed the board for quite some time before setting up my own account and starting to post—if it was nothing more than another joyless internet swamp, I definitely wouldn’t have even bothered—besides the football talk focusing on the team I’ll follow until I’m 6 ft under, I’ve also enjoyed shooting the breeze about lots of other just as important topics, such as whether or not Die Hard is a Christmas movie...so also wanted to give a shout out to all the members who make this place worthwhile!! Share the sentiments of @Buffalo716 100%.
  17. My wife’s fam has always done no laundry on New Year’s Day, has to have collard Greens ? as part of the traditional meal same day, and the Christmas tree needs to be down before then...yes, it’s exhausting to keep up with it all sometimes, and I personally think it’s a bunch of hooey. But then again, I’m with @Nextmanup about the whole knock on wood thing, so what do I know?!
  18. Agree totally Shady...so I've found that approx. 6 minutes at a rolling boil produces a soft boil that's just right, and pretty much anything after that up to 9-10 min is a good hard boiled egg, imo.
  19. Wow what a rogues' gallery you've assembled there...how about none of the above, since I didn't see Wade Phillips on there? But if pressed, then Chan Gailey, as he's probably the only one of the group who would be able to produce more than 6 points on average on O?
  20. Yes please! Any which way, they're just plain good. My wife on the other hand, can't stand them, and I feel sad for her loss. I soft boil them to take as a snack during the day now and then, and I also like them fried over easy or scrambled, on a sammy with cheese/mayo or salsa. I could go on, but you get it.
  21. At what point do we declare 26CB deceased in absentia and turn the account name back over to use for someone brand spanking new to the boards?
