  2. I think it's safe to say that any shifting with the winds "bandwagoners" who jumped on in the 90's, jumped back off oh, I dunno, 17 or so years ago for bigger bandwagons elsewhere? Those of us still around who came of age during that fantastic run, have more than proven our loyalty bona fides by still being here a generation later, with nary more than a solitary playoff game to show for it! I believe the "4 Falls of Buffalo" and/or the ESPN 30 for 30 "From Elway to Marino" mentioned that "secretary flub" episode too?
  3. Kelly has often said himself that the last thing he expected was the hero’s welcome that he received when he did finally come back to Buffalo like the prodigal son—and the rest as they say is history. Personally I’m glad I was too young to have experienced the dash to Houston in any meaningful way, so that all of my football memories of him are basically from 90 onwards as a Bills fixture already. Also, I’d say he’s more than made up with the community by this point, and bleeds everything Buffalo.
  4. That one I am not familiar with--but is it worth locating/watching?
  5. The original “Office” also started out across the pond and you can actually find some of the original pranks on this one that were redone in the US version (like the jello covered office supplies)
  6. Fawlty Towers—if you’re a fan of John Cleese (comedic genius) then this is must-see
  7. Lots of TV show themed threads here recently, I thought I’d throw in another one, kind of a niche segment, but sometimes that Brit humor just seems to hit the spot. Any favs? My list in no particular order, would have to include: -Come Fly With Me -Keeping Up Appearances -Are You Being Served?
  8. Like a few others here, I followed the board for quite some time before setting up my own account and starting to post—if it was nothing more than another joyless internet swamp, I definitely wouldn’t have even bothered—besides the football talk focusing on the team I’ll follow until I’m 6 ft under, I’ve also enjoyed shooting the breeze about lots of other just as important topics, such as whether or not Die Hard is a Christmas movie...so also wanted to give a shout out to all the members who make this place worthwhile!! Share the sentiments of @Buffalo716 100%.
  9. My wife’s fam has always done no laundry on New Year’s Day, has to have collard Greens ? as part of the traditional meal same day, and the Christmas tree needs to be down before then...yes, it’s exhausting to keep up with it all sometimes, and I personally think it’s a bunch of hooey. But then again, I’m with @Nextmanup about the whole knock on wood thing, so what do I know?!
  10. Agree totally Shady...so I've found that approx. 6 minutes at a rolling boil produces a soft boil that's just right, and pretty much anything after that up to 9-10 min is a good hard boiled egg, imo.
  11. Wow what a rogues' gallery you've assembled there...how about none of the above, since I didn't see Wade Phillips on there? But if pressed, then Chan Gailey, as he's probably the only one of the group who would be able to produce more than 6 points on average on O?
  12. Yes please! Any which way, they're just plain good. My wife on the other hand, can't stand them, and I feel sad for her loss. I soft boil them to take as a snack during the day now and then, and I also like them fried over easy or scrambled, on a sammy with cheese/mayo or salsa. I could go on, but you get it.
  13. At what point do we declare 26CB deceased in absentia and turn the account name back over to use for someone brand spanking new to the boards?
  14. 24. Loved the real-time narration premise, Kiefer was great as Jack Bauer, and it was appointment viewing with my buddies during my bachelor days. However, it ran for almost 10 years and I lost interest with the progressively weaker storylines ca. Season 4 or so, jmo.
  15. Well, this is one surefire way to deflect attention away from his broadcasting skills and breaking the Pro Bowl trophy...well played Mr. Witten, well played!
  16. This is why it's such a crapshoot to go on TV and start handing out letter grades for all teams' drafts, as a draftnik---meanwhile, Johnny Football is basically a Ryan Leaf level bust.
  17. Sad, in more ways than one. For the sake of himself and his loved ones, you hope he pulls it together to fix what's obviously very broken in his life, he just hasn't shown much "want-to" up to now. How many more chances are left out there?
  18. With Daboll calling the plays I'm more worried about how many points he thinks we need to score/gm on average than McD, who obviously gets it, and did all along as far as I'm concerned. I do think that we are going to see significant improvement on the O this year--how could we not? An established starting going into the year, draft picks that hopefully will make instant impacts, and a couple of key FA pickups that hopefully all coalesce into being competitive week in/week out!
  19. Too bad for the Fins this smarty pants wasn’t able to provide Kiko with the coefficient times variable calculations necessary to properly align his angle of attack on Josh Allen’s shake n’ bake thunder thighs! Numbers schmumbers. But welcome aboard regardless.
  20. How dare you sir?! He’s a prince and good for it—royalty sometimes needs a handout too when stuck somewhere with lost luggage in a foreign country well away from the comforts of the palace...next time read the emails a little more closely!
  21. Yep, so glad we ended up with “wrong josh!” Can’t wait for this season to get rolling, haven’t been this psyched since 93 I think ?
