  1. With some parts of the world, I reckon it's just easier not to expend the mental energy required to differentiate between this or that part...
  2. @LSHMEAB, I had no idea your family roots trace all the way back to the old German country! Wunderbar!
  3. On the occasion of a mid winter’s blue moon ?, so basically just in my memories of growing up in the North. ☺️
  4. Also, don’t have kids. I jest because I love. Wouldn’t trade mine for 100 years of no more colds. Am doing a lot better since yesterday, thanks to everyone for their sharing, tips and good points. Avoided the doc for now and am looking forward to being more productive this coming week! Go Bills!!!!!
  5. Crackling fireplace fire in a cozy room at night, sipping on a good cup of something hot—with a howling winter’s wind outside not fit for man nor beast. Also in that vein, the sights and smells of new fallen snow, quiet and pristine...
  6. This kind of thing happening always helps put stuff in perspective—the back and forth on the boards over sports is in good fun and all, but at the end of the day there’s more important things, like living your life to the full with those you love (including your pets), and it sounds like you’ve had a good companion for many years, I’m sure that’s been a 2 way street too. Wish you all the best with this.
  7. Sorry you’re going through this ODB; it’s never easy losing or getting ready to say goodbye to a pet that’s basically become a part of the family.
  8. ^^^^This, lol. I was banned from school fundraising in elementary school after eating too much of my own inventory that my mom bless her heart, had to pay up for at the end—.50 cents adds up quick on those M & M boxes!! I had to pay off the debt through extra chores which is still probably not enough in hindsight.
  9. Now we know why Rob Ryan, despite sleeping at the office, was never able to communicate Rex’s D effectively after getting on Pegulas payroll...his other gig was way more important
  10. The form of these questions is reminding me of my last eye dr appointment, and sure enough, when I told him which lens combo made the letters appear the best, wouldn’t ya know I walked out of there with an Rx for even thicker glasses than before? The nerve of that guy.
  11. ^^^^^This. Thurm was an amazing pass catcher on top of everything else, and led the league in combined yards from scrimmage seemingly his entire career as a result. I agree that it’s not an easy answer when you stop to consider how many dimensions your RB should have in order to be considered best ever. Barry always seems to be a consensus choice too.
  12. Hmmmm...a QB needy team that drafted its future franchise in Rosen 12months ago is getting ready to drop him like a hot potato as they’d rather start from scratch in the draft again than see more of him...yeah, I’d like to spend one of our high draft picks to pick him up...because why again? Sorry, I lost the logic while repeating it back.
  13. Have heard that too but really no idea, and always makes me feel nauseous for some reason the few times I’ve tried it
  14. You’ve got a deal The issue is being able to at least breathe well enough through the stuffiness to actually get decent sleep, and control the coughing that stems from the nasal drainage (I know, tmi)
  15. RIP Ralph. And thanks for ponying up to get Kelly here finally back in the day. In all seriousness, he did a lot for his communities and the NFL overall.
  16. Has anybody had any luck with elderberry syrup or apple cider vinegar? Of course, internet rumors are just that.
  17. Just curious what the combined wisdom of Bills fans out there is in battling a run of the mill cold symptoms or even the flu--any home remedies passed down from the generations before that you'd like to share, or are there any you're come up with on your own? I may or may not choose to utilize some of the suggestions so tried and true remedies only please . I don't love going to the dr. for a simple cold, so would prefer to ride it out naturally if possible.
  18. Seems like one party to this (AB, cough cough) can’t leave well enough alone and move on. Enjoy the train wreck that is the Raiders current roster and living situation. Oh, and should we also compare the size of the owners’ respective wads of cash on hand? LOL. https://www.google.com/amp/s/raiderswire.usatoday.com/2018/09/01/raiders-owner-mark-davis-lacked-funds-to-pay-khalil-mack/amp/
  19. Now this is some homerism postin’ I can hitch my wagon to! Great job, love the optimistic outlook OP! Fully agree with your points. Carry on
  20. He had nothing around him but cast-offs, marginal talent, and still put a highlight reel together for us to enjoy during a long offseason. What can he do with actual help??
  21. Love it!!! This kid simply has "winner" written all over him. Am still amazed there's a clip of #13 KB being convinced to catch a pass in some space anywhere though
  22. Or the 1st time Josh Allen leaps over Josh Allen on his way to the end zone...
