But most importantly, Marino had multiple chances to be the guy in those SB’s and could not ever beat Kelly to get there, so there’s that. And how did his own SB appearance turn out in 84?

Good points—but I doubt the brain trust in Indy is spending too much time in self reflection over terrible Olines of yesteryear—if they were that sensitive about that, then they would’ve addressed it sooner in his career for his sake, imho.

Well, not to make too fine a point of it, but note that so long as we remain strapped in by our ski boots, we should never be able to get out too far over our skis . I think at 10 wins we become likely playoff bound—upgrades at WR and OL alone, provided we stay reasonably healthy in the reg season, should be good for 4+more wins over last year, imho.
