  1. ^^^^This. I shall ride the coat tails
  2. Will the starters also be rocking these uniform accessories?
  3. 11-15-1993 Monday Night 3 Rivers Stadium. Steelers 23-0. What I remember: Terrible fans in that stadium—and the Bills were throttled by an on-point Steeler D and raucous crowd. A bad game to be at as a young Bills fan, all around.
  4. In superhero terms, Beasley strikes me as Robin? The relative dimensions are about right too
  5. Just trying to come to terms with some of my earliest sports memory traumas, is all. You left me with low hanging fruit Shady! Had to take the swing
  6. Or 1 looooooooooooong drive if you're the 1990 NY Giants.
  7. Classic avoidance of anything that doesn’t fit the narrative ye ol’ Thad wants to put out there...I think he’s determined to fill the vacuum of intellectually vacant “reporting” left behind by Rodak’s departure, and so far so good!
  8. Can’t believe Astro is finito for 2019; really enjoyed his reports—what a great writing style.
  9. Wonder if the Pegulas would settle/make an exception for a finding of wrongful death liability? It's not like the famous criminal verdict was the end of the story, legally speaking.
  10. It actually still needs to be greater than 50%, as the party carrying the burden of proof (plaintiff) would still lose all things being "equal" with the evidence for or against. Also, the operative facts were actually developed to a higher degree in the civil matter than the botched criminal prosecution before it--fascinating to go through the depositions taken in the civil case (depositions are a civil discovery tool not available prior to a criminal trial)--he basically lays the case bare himself, and guaranteed he would be found liable: https://abcnews.go.com/US/oj-simpson-tapes-shocking-things-rarely-deposition-tapes/story?id=33924968
  11. So glad to hear of progress in the right direction. Continued prayers.
  12. 1 XL please, shipped.
  13. Would be curious what a poll here would show. I'm all for taking it down. Even if you cling to the notion that he didn't do it, you can't avoid the reality that he was adjudged liable in the subsequent wrongful death civil case, is a further convicted felon on other charges (Las Vegas) even after all that, and has generally speaking done everything in his power to be a terrible ambassador for what it should mean to be up on that Wall in the 1st place. I get the argument for bifurcating a player's football prowess from personal life, but there have to be exceptions for extreme egregiousness, and this should be a no-brainer accordingly.
  14. Wait, was that Don Beebe saving the touchdown again against Dallas personnel??
  15. I was expecting this type of hot take thread to wait until our first L in the regular season. <sigh>. Anyway, I refer you to @HappyDays‘ post about how practice REALLY went today for Allen, with good context. Carry on.
  16. Exactly; or that the advancements in weaponry were not matched by sufficient advancements in field medicine—still way too many men lost their lives over wounds in after action that today would be considered eminently survivable.
  17. Astro notes from today—He used it too, what are the odds?
  18. Wait, are you saying we’re not doomed??
  19. Exactly. That, and Allen is a 2nd year going against what is shaping up to be one of the most dominant D’s our franchise has seen in over a generation! All of the lessons he learns now, will pay off in spades for the regular season, imho.
  20. He earned at least a shot to show what he can do in a new season, and some guys just do better when the bullets are “live.”
  21. Tasker’s special teams credibility plus his conversion to WR later in career, both of which he excelled at, make him a worthy candidate, imo. Played above his size pay grade!
  22. Was this that guy’s college mascot?
