  1. Yet, strangely, this stat does nothing for me . In all seriousness, yes, impressive. But I’m over the Pats, in all forms and ways that can be expressed.
  2. Thanks for all the in-depth digging OP. Good stuff! Really looking forward to the Cleveland game already. Doubtless will be a far cry from the single digit snooze-fests during the drought between the 2 clubs that Sully loved to pan! Post of the day
  3. Has BB earned himself the benefit of the doubt when it comes to never pushing any boundaries or not being willing to break the rules, one has to ask? If the answer is “no,” then there must be some kind of an unconventional nefarious angle, otherwise why would he be so concerned about McVay’s whereabouts at that moment? If the answer is “yes,” then he must’ve just been trying to be neighborly and flash McVay one of his customary in game smiles. Also seemed like “Josh” was helping with spotting duties, but hey, I’m sure nothing to see here.
  4. Post of the day. Update your resume and make it suitable for framing, Donuts!
  5. Why do I love non-vegan meatloaf so much? Probably because it's just a straight up loaf of all the good stuff bite after bite. These PETA protesters simply don't know what's tasty in this world.
  6. In other news, the longer story arc of this gentleman's life has been recreated by the fine acting work of one Leo DiCaprio, in "Catch Me If You Can." I'm sure he put up flyers all around town just to be sure they were unclaimed
  7. Buddy, Really? this wasn't bowing up to the OP in any way shape or form? Questioning his IQ and/or sexual preferences is A-OK? ******* "I tend to get defensive when insecure people tell me how to think/act, especially when said people seem less than intelligent. You’re issue is with fans being objective, but you can’t seem to reconcile that you belief that a fan should be a one dimensional lemming. If you are that confident in the Bills we can wager on who wins the AFC East next year. Lastly, I find it more than coincidental that you couldn’t find a club in ATL that only has women dancing..." ******* In the immortal words of James Conway (DeNiro)...you insulted him a little bit ?.
  8. Aren't there some Pats boards in need of piling on with play by play of the parade route happenings today? Definitely wouldn't want you to miss out on that while slumming here with us unwashed Bills masses.
  9. If memory serves, there was also a thread started that said in effect, they "deserved" to win another SB because they'd gone about things the right way, etc. etc. Classic.
  10. Exactly. The Steelers for whatever reason have almost never been able to solve the Pats rubik's cube, and that combined with the Ravens playing them tough not infrequently, would've made life a lot more difficult for Tomlin & Co coming out of there, imho.
  11. Couldn't agree more. Why on this good earth would you ever want to root for even one more Pats win, playoffs or not, as a dyed in the wool Bills fan? Of course, it's so much easier to jump on a winning bandwagon, I get all that, but even after our L's this year, no one was going to make me embarrassed to wear my Bills shirts around town. There is a difference between respecting the football accomplishments of that team, versus actively rooting for them to win under any circumstances. I do feel however, that there were a lot of other voices here that would seek to set the OPs' straight when it comes to threads that could've easily been put up in any Pats boards, and that this board was not the right place for that kind of fluff. The pats have caused me too much grief through the years as a Bills fan, to ever want them to win again. Here's a toughie--if it came down to the Pats beating somebody in order for the Bills to go to the playoffs, I would still be struggling with who to pull for in that scenario, and that is no joke!
  12. Or, putting it another way, could the Bills have broken the drought here or there before 17 years elapsed, had they not had 2 more virtually guaranteed L’s on their schedule? The years where 8-8 or 9-7 just weren’t good enough, but had they played in a division without the Patsies maybe things could’ve been different?
  13. It was a necessary “checking in” sort of fluff piece, to let the masses outside of OBD know that work is proceeding on track and at a torrid pace. Strangely, I do feel an iota better after having read it.
  14. Ha! Great reference 33 to the old ST pilot episode and certainly feels that way at times. Without googling it, I think that was The Menagerie?
  15. Hmmm, ok interesting take. So why is it that I can’t have both? Seems to me like the Pats can turn it on and off on either side of the ball at will, and in fact rode their D to the W last night. How about instead of aspiring to become one dimensionally great, we go nuts and are good on both sides of the ball? That’s my vote OP.
  16. As do I. Just feel like having the benefit of a few off-season data points that are pretty major (draft, FA) would go a long way towards actually making the preseason odds pick #'s worthwhile, as opposed to just being numbers my 3 year old comes up with, that's all. Here's to hoping.
  17. I always have to chuckle at this kind of thing--so let me get this straight...we haven't had the draft yet, we've just finished most of the coaching carousel, and free agency is still anyone's guess. Yep, sounds like just the right time to start making up numbers about anybody's chances to wind up at the big dance! In other news, has anyone started mock drafting the class of 2020??
  18. Semantics. Their run over the course of 20 years against the rest of the league in the playoffs removes doubt that their postseason success is bound up in the slacking of their AFCE rivals. Can't stand them with every fibre of my football being, and am ready to turn the tables on them. Allen has never had a full off-season as the annointed #1 here, so I'm expecting big things from him in 2019.
  19. Apart from the TD drive, I felt like Brady did a lot of un-Bradylike QB'ing last night...did BB purposely minimize the load on his shoulders? I know he'll always have sneaky old man game, and you can't show him anything he hasn't seen before, but I also can't remember a Pats SB where he was that ineffective when looking at the whole, which is unusual for him. That said, I'm out of the business of prognosticating when he will leave, when his physical prowess is leaving him, etc. I am left with simply hope that it will be sooner rather than later, and faith that Allen will be the single greatest factor in vaulting the Bills over top the Pats in the division in the very near future. Let us at least have that small crumb...
  20. Peter King's take this morning, anticipating the OP's very thread: "I think the performance has to be a crushing one for Goff and a humbling one for McVay. I put a lot more of the blame on Goff, because he’s got to make more plays than he did, and he took some sacks he shouldn’t have and just didn’t respond to the New England pressure as the game went on. But I wouldn’t worry much about either man. Goff had some shaky games down the stretch—Bears, Eagles and Patriots most notably. But he’s got the rare gift to forget when he stinks, like a great cornerback. McVay is too smart to be crushed by this. He won’t say it, but he needs his quarterback to be his general on the field and to make enough plays to keep his team in the game. He could have the best game plan he’d ever choreographed Sunday, but it the quarterback can’t execute it and make more plays, it would be for naught." https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/02/04/super-bowl-53-patriots-rams-nfl-fmia-peter-king/
  21. Donuts, thanks as always for keeping it real. I am now all cleared up, and will learn to toe the company line better next time...it's our own fault that the Pats keep winning. Maybe if the Rams were coached by that new fella taking the league by storm, they would've showed up with some offense...I can't quite remember his name though?
