  1. Great post. We are winning way too much already this offseason.
  2. Sounds like a challenge. How would a thread about Bill Belichick’s choice of boat names strike you?
  3. Make yourself productive. Start a thread about how disappointed you are in the NFL's war on personalized shoe laces or something.
  4. Some posters accusing the OP of putting out "misleading" information and just "click bait" when it's nothing of the sort, qualifies in my book, but maybe I'm just reading too much into it. The OP definitely took it as such too though, fwiw.
  5. Don't misunderstand me BTW, I am not saying Lynn is a terrible coach by any means, or doesn't deserve any credit for what he's done so far out West. I just didn't think that it was an apples to apples comparison from a purely roster/talent standpoint their first 2 years side by side. I would definitely agree that going forward it's much more similar than not, on paper at least.
  6. I don't understand how this is any different than prognosticating who the surprise rookie of the year will be, our overall W-L record, or Allen becoming MVP this year--the point is, no need to jump on an OP for putting something out there, where at a minimum they follow it up with accurate facts to date and well reasoned arguments. Anyone is free to disagree with the take, but definitely no need to make it personal, ever, even if the take ends up in hindsight being faulty.
  7. Small point but telling I think, is that the San Diego roster was significantly upgraded pound for pound throughout Lynn's 1st 2 years (e.g. Bosa, anyone?) whereas the cupboard for McD was tossed overboard, barren, after year 1 (the reasons why has been the subject of plenty of other threads). I think McD has had to make pizza pie out of a lack of dough, although that's obviously changed for this year, and the comparisons from here on out would be more comparable, imho.
  8. Your observations about the deficiencies from his rookie season are exactly why the early reports from these sessions is so encouraging (it's precisely the no huddle situations he's excelling at most thus far); he's obviously spent a lot of time working on the areas he was most deficient in during the offseason, his foot/hips/shoulders placement mechanics in particular, and the other thread discussing the Chris Simms workout session/interview with him at the Adpro complex is very enlightening in this regard. All of this combined with the roster upgrades around him, especially at Oline and WR/TE, is why my optimism "cup doth brimmeth over."
  9. Not put too fine a point on it, but may I suggest adding “fettered” between the bolded phrasing above? More distinguishable that way, imho.
  10. This describes my usual state of mind with that team. Why do they corner the market on unique wrinkles? Coach “Dabes”is already letting Josh call his own series of plays now and then this year, so maybe that’s the start of something that could turn into a reasonable facsimile of where Daboll came from with NE.
  11. @Alphadawg7, I respect that you weren’t shy with your original prediction, and while I disagreed with the premise from the get go, you backed up your position with well reasoned and thoughtful analysis. How many posters on here predicted Peterman would light it up in 2018 based on his marked offseason improvement between 2017-2018? I mean, he straight up won a 3-way open QB competition. My point is, we can all make predictions and whether or not we agree on them at the time is beside the point. I find your posts to usually be of the “more insight less incite” variety (blast from the past reference there, holla back 26CB! ) and don’t let the rest of the armchair QB’s around here take the fun out of it for you. Carry on.
  12. So glad we have team first players on our roster as opposed to whatever that is unfolding on the other end of the Lake... I figured the drama would take a little longer to start up for the Browns...what a pleasant surprise!
  13. In the running for post of the day, keep up the good work!
  14. Exactly right—last year this wouldn’t even have been in the cards to attempt given the unmitigated line disaster that was unfolding—safe to say that Beane targeting this area of need opens the possibilities provided our line gels quickly. Hanging my hat on Morse being able to channel shades of Kent Hull I know, but look at what he did in KC in that record setting offense last year.
  15. I’m taking Allen everyday #1 in a redraft, sorry Baker. Why? Allen’s ceiling is the highest of any of these cats, in so many ways. Go Bills!!!!!!
  16. He wasn’t alone in that opinion at the time though, in terms of the media.

  18. McD thanks in no small part to JA's emergence, somehow cobbled ("MacGyvered") together 6 wins out of a squad carrying 50m in dead money and arguably the worst O-line/WR combo (to say nothing of the QB dumpster fire that Josh was prematurely thrown into) this side of Arizona in 2018. With a much improved roster situation, put me down for stunned if we don't see corresponding improvement in the regular season. However, your cynicism comes from a long historical precedent, which I can't argue has happened. It just feels and looks different this time around though.
  19. Love that. And further disguise the initial BB Gun no huddle formation with the call sign "Red Ryder"--you know, something akin to Peyton constantly barking out "Omaha" or something like that, lol
  20. Link to the audio is here (28:40 mark): https://wgr550.radio.com/media/audio-channel/5-29-hr-1-one-bills-live Good call
  21. Like where your head's at with that, but don't forget the K-Gun was called that for Keith McKeller, not Kelly; so which of the current TE crop can we choose for this version?
  22. I'm thinking it would work out for us something like this...
  23. Coincidentally, this will take 4 years to accomplish. In the SB, the Giants, Redskins and Cowgirls x2, but in no particular order. We stomp NE each time in the AFC Championship en route. What--a guy can dream, can't he?
