  1. Wade's D definitely kept the Rams in it until late, when it was more of an issue with being gassed up front IMHO, than scheme.
  2. Agree with many upthread that watching a blowout is worse than what we got last night, but it was still bad because you knew despite how close it was, that the Pats would engineer a late drive against a gassed D line, to put it effectively out of reach as the Rams O was out of sync all night.
  3. Or, quite a bit could be chalked up to BB having his D ready to play lights out, and with a game plan to dare the Rams to beat them with the run, which almost never needed adjustment throughout the game as it turns out. Shades of XXV, where BB took away many of the Bills passing options and shut down one of the most prolific offenses in the NFL in the process. Maybe D still matters just a little bit?
  4. So this would be the obligatory “fire everyone” entry? It’s the closest to that I’ve seen so far.
  5. It’s like an extra bit of sunshine breaking through an otherwise cloudy day. I get back on the boards quicker and devour as much game coverage as I can get, because I enjoy reading positive hot takes as much as the next guy
  6. During the SB years any loss would bother me for days, as they were so rare and I always felt like they were the best team out there most Sundays. Of course the drought weaned me of that expectation in a hurry. Also, I think getting older and starting a family all helped me put football in its proper perspective to keep me more grounded. Whether they win or lose won’t change the work I need to get done, bills I have to pay, or the love of my kids towards me, which is actually a good thing. That said, I have a feeling I would be on cloud 9 for a week if they can beat Brady straight up this year and Allen goes off. Will the Pats losing tomorrow bother you one bit? Looking for that to change this season bro!
  7. Buffalo Chix Dip, Meatballs, Sausage queso Dip, and pigs in a blanket. Also possibly bacon wrapped stuffed mushrooms baked
  8. Let’s discuss this take of yours some more—I think a round table format would be best
  9. Just think how far we’ve come since Octoberish—had this news dropped then, can you imagine the calls on this board for our FO to pick him up? Myself included I’m sure. Now? Not really interested.
  10. Exactly Donuts. Which is why maybe the same fine folks at tmz sports who seem to be able to get surveillance video (whilst the NFL's crack security teams wander about in a fog of cluelessnes), could look into whether or not the boss of this former employee is a Patriots fan? Just sayin'.
  11. Adding to that quandary is Beane's statement that they won't look to draft just for need over BPA, which would on the surface at least, indicate that the brain trust could go exactly as you describe in your question--just me personally, I feel like you can never have enough good prospects for depth on the line--we saw just how quickly unexpected injuries/retirements at that most vital of position groups can devastate that side of the ball. If OT is really rising and would not be a reach that early in the draft, then I'd probably be just fine with them taking one high. But this bears close watching as we get through FA. Don't really know if there's a right or wrong answer on this yet, Donuts.
  12. Both “known” and “cheater.” I think this guy might have a wrongful termination case to talk to somebody about.
  13. Are there any other meet/greet opportunities left with some of our alumni prior to the SB around town?
  14. I think that was all Jessica Simpson's fault. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/7839-tony-romo-jessica-simpson-and-celebrity-superstitions
  15. I remember this vividly, tough day as a Bills fan--in hindsight I should've been able to see it was coming, but at the time I just figured you couldn't keep the guy down long enough to keep him away from playing in the NFL, especially given how the last game he played ended against the Jags. We also found out later that shortly after this press conference, Jim discovered he was going to have a son, Hunter...may he rest in peace. So happy for the guy now though, in terms of how he's taken what life's thrown his way since football, and turned those negatives into positives for other people's lives as well--that's the hallmark of a real life hero to me, just my .02 cents.
  16. I for one am shocked, shocked and shocked I tell you! Or not at all. When your HC strolls the halls of OBD looking like poor man's Clemson long snapper, you could really tell things were on Belichickian style lock down, right? You picked up on the Clemson thing already too--good call. Although wouldn't have mattered which NCAA school we were talking about, the point is it reeked of un-professionalism on an NFL stage.
  17. Am very sorry to be missing this tonight--make sure those of you going, check back in to the thread and let the rest of us know how it went.
  18. Fixed it, just in case you meant the season year, and not the date of the actual game.
  19. May through September in good 'ol Hotlanta is plenty warm and toasty for my taste--anytime traveling back from a Northeast visit, coming off the plane is like an instant choking wet blanket of humidly hot air that is so noticeable I'll basically start sweating right away...not a pretty pic. High 90's with that makes it not worth going outside before sunset, imho. On the colder side, prob some January nights growing up in western PA with neg wind chill while shoveling snow off our ridiculously long, steep driveway. Magically as soon as I left home for good, a snow blower appeared to take my place, lol. Quite a pill to choose between which is worse, OP!
  20. Somewhere the football gods are high fiving each other for the bountygate Favre/Minnie NFC title game payback...what better way than 2 back to back excruciating playoff losses?
  21. Happy birthday ? Andre. Man do I feel old right now...
  22. ^^^^Post of the day. I bet your drop rate is also not pedestrian? Google schmoogle. Fake news!
