  1. Ha, love the kicker highlights. Kick. Kick. Kick.
  2. Just had a look at the mock first round projections on NFL.com and all 8 of their analysts had Ford going in round 1. All but one of those had him between 11-18. Doesn't mean too much but it is nice that we got a consensus mid first rounder in the second.
  3. Don't know if this has been posted. Decent little bit of pre-draft analysis from *spit* Cowboys.com
  4. I'm one of those crazy people who reserves judgement until I've seen a guy play in the NFL. You can definitely see his athleticism though on film. Looks to have good hands, good size. Foster didn't do much in college but they obviously saw from the tape that he had the right abilities to do more with more of a role and more targets. I did laugh when the guys on NFL Network said he had zero TDs in college because I knew a lot of people here would lose their ***** over that. We have Kroft so he can ease into things gradually and increase his time on the field.
  5. I agree, and if they are then I don't think 10 or 11 wins is a crazy as some people think. As I just said in another thread, a great O-line just improves everything. Even the defense will benefit as they're not having to spend as long on the field, and if we get more leads they get to be more aggressive as teams are playing catchup, meaning more turnovers. Can't wait for camp to see these guys begin to work together.
  6. I expect to see some defense today. These guys have shown so far that they're good at grabbing talented defenders in the later rounds and coaching them up into quality contributors
  7. It's not a train wreck at all, but I would agree that I'm surprised they didn't grab one with their first third. I was expecting them to try and trade back into the second to get one. But I would say that you have to consider the O-line and the effects its re-boot will have on the passing game. On paper, the line is now the strength of the offense, and if they get a combination through camp and preseason that really gels and starts to dominate a few weeks into the season, it's going to elevate every aspect of our attack. The run game will look light years ahead of last year, and the with more time to throw, receivers are going to naturally have more time to get open. With that in mind I can see Allen throwing a lot of bombs this year to Brown and Foster. The more success Brown and Foster have going deep? The more areas are created for Beasley, Kroft and Jones, Knox etc. to get open. Plus the RBs coming out of the backfield. I know people think we're a run first team, but I could see the gameplan this year being: blitz them through the air in the first half, build a lead, then run the ball down their throats and use this new O-line to wear the ***** out of the opponent. Break their spirit!
  8. Fant. Trade into top of second to get a DT
  9. I love reading or watching stuff about the big nfl draft busts from history. Fascinating stuff. There's a great one on YouTube about jamarcus Russell. When you see all the hype pre draft, then the excitement on draft day, then he comes in weighing as much as a lineman, it's just incredible!
  10. Thank F*** We're Not The Dolphins
  11. I wouldn't have a problem with that draft
  12. What the ***** does Mel Kiper know? With his annoying voice and stupid hair... what? He said he likes us? Always said this guy should be a GM!
  13. I think Allen will throw a lot of INTs but a lot of TDs as well. I see him having more confidence but over confidence at times. Plus our offense will be more wide open and he'll have more time to throw, so he'll be taking more shots down field. I could see him reminding me a lot of Favre this season. Bad throw followed by a great throw - similar to last season but on a bigger scale. I don't care if he does, so long as he slings it around and we score a bunch of points I don't care about him being perfect. I do think he'll have a few 300+ yard games with multiple TDs
  14. I had 11-5 before the release, the close out is tough but if they get momentum I can see them doing it. Could also see them having a melt down to end the season and missing the playoffs but I won't dwell on that right now.
  15. That Cleveland game would have made a great Monday nighter in my opinion. Allen Vs Mayfield and all that.
  16. Let's start with NE. They always start shaky so it'd be good to get a win against them early on (hopefully things turn out better than they did last time we beat them opening day)
  17. I don't have a man cave, but if I did I would have a large framed picture of Al Bundy on the wall
  18. I do think he would make sense as a 7th because you can just sit him for a couple of years as your backup and there aren't going to be many voices crying 'start him' as soon as Allen has a bad thow. And if he doesn't show anything then you can let him walk without much lost
  19. If I was in need of a QB I would definitely trade a third for him without blinking. Probably a second. I'm glad we got Allen but I think Rosen showed real potential on a really bad team. Plus he's got the cockiness to not let a trade effect him too much
  20. I kinda like hearing about where certain players are now. In some ways, I prefer hearing what happened to the busts/lower draft picks that I remember really well. So here's another. Ashton Youboty. I always remember him for having the longest neck I've ever seen. Dude looked like a cartoon character. Drafted in the third round back in 2006 - the same year we took Whitner in the first. After getting 23 tackles, an int and a sack in 2007 I remember hoping he might amount to something. Sadly it didn't happen. He hung on with the Bills until 2010, then spent a year with the Jags (mostly injured), then rode off into the sunset, his immense neck creating the oddest shadow you can imagine. So what's he doing now? "Former NFL cornerback Ashton Youboty is in his third season on staff at Wisconsin in 2019, serving in a quality control role that has him assisting with the Badgers' defense… Youboty went on to play five seasons in Buffalo before finishing his pro career with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2011. Most recently, Youboty spent the 2016 season as a volunteer in the Miami (Fla.) recruiting department and also took part in a scouting fellowship with the Bills. An Academic All-Big Ten selection, Youboty earned a bachelor's degree in family resource management from Ohio State. He completed graduate studies at Miami and earned an MBA in management and mergers & acquisitions in May 2017."
  21. I purchased a pair of Allen's underpants off ebay last week. Is that normal? In all seriousness (really, I didn't buy the underwear, I was outbid) I have watched his highlights numerous times, particularly the second Dolphins game. Part of it is excitement for the new season and part of it is that he's just so fun to watch. Far more fun than Tyrod or Edwards or Losman etc. He better be good this season otherwise I'll be highly pissed
  22. News! Real news. Why is this thread not at 30 pages?! I do like the clip of him taking down Brady. To be fair I'd become a fan of a toy car if Brady fell over it
  23. Yeah, crazy is good so long as you don't have to live with them. She looks like she'd be able to suck a golf ball through a length of hose pipe
  24. Kelly fumbles the snap on the first drive against the Raiders in the championship game. He picks it up, turns, runs to his right and (in the words of the great Dick Enberg) "throws to Lofton for a touchdown!" Some others that jump straight to mind: Sam Adams lumbering into the endzone during the 31-0 win on opening day Vs the Pats Any play involving a Fred Jackson stiff arm Bruce stopping OJ Anderson on 4th and short in the Super Bowl The Terrence McGee return that didn't quite make the endzone Josh's hurdle Josh's flick of the wrist throw down the field against the Jags Andre's 3TDs in the comeback So many
