I have Youtube footage of Peterman in last years pre season opener all set to go if and when that happens I'm superstitious about guys looking TOO GOOD in preseason. I think of the mighty Lions who went 4-0 and then 0-16 in the regular season, or Spurrier's offensive machine in Washington running up scores on people and then looking like dog s**t when it really mattered. I'm sure there are lots of examples of great preseasons that have carried over into the regular season but I prefer guys not to look too great when it's all vanilla

Great post. Totally agree. I was thinking the same thing. I actually found that episode quite boring because the players just came across like it was all a big joke. Too many egos. Guys like that are okay when they're winning, as soon as the losses mount up that's when the rot sets in. Gruden just seems like he wants to be one of the guys. He's won a SB so more power to him but I'd be shocked if these guys ended up being a powerhouse this season. And that lazy waste of space from last chance U. You get a once in a lifetime shot and just blow it, such a waste. I much prefer the way the Bills run things. They have guys that like to have fun like Shady and Trey but they're not me first guys and actually act like pros for the most part. I really hope the Bills get to the playoffs this year because news of the culture is starting to spread around the league now and it'll attract more and more FAs with the right attitude to go to Buffalo. I'm actually shocked that Beane was ever interested in that egomaniac AB. The guy is a complete tool and doesn't even have any charisma to make him likeable

Not surprised. They say the NFL is a copycat league and that works for the media too. Not many of the 'experts' have the time to thoroughly research every team, so a lot tend to read what other have said and sort of base their opinions on that. Quite a few 'experts' have predicted the Bills to do well this year, and that's beginning to filter down to others now. I think by the time the season kicks off we'll be getting picked as a lot of peoples' surprise team of the year.

It's pre-season. It's MEANINGLESS. It's mostly scrubs fighting for a roster place. It's vanilla. And yet I am still getting an erection just thinking about it! Everything seemed to be going so well for the him at that moment. He was young, happy and carefree. Once he's playing in Vegas and has renounced the Lord, taken up cocaine and blown his wages on hookers, he'll surely look back on that day, shake his head and think 'what the f**k happened?'

Can't believe that's 17 years ago. Jesus! Remember it so well - 3 TDs by Henry and then we lose on a kick off return in OT. I remember that especially well because fans were crying all through preseason saying the rushing game was garbage and Henry was terrible, then he went and had a great game and a probowl season

I had us down for 10 or 11 wins but it's all dependant on having a relatively healthy o line. If it ends up as a patchwork unit then I think that run in of tough games will kill us

He's doing the voice over for the embedded series so he'll be spending time with them as part of that I'd guess. Plus it's smart to have him around. He was such a big leader up until the end of last season, so he presence will likely be missed. Getting him around the guys now and then will help ease some of that until other leaders step in.

Good player. Smart. Uses his intelligence a lot. Good hands. Good range. Gets after the ball and wins contested catches. Drives a Mustang and rates Airwolf re runs as a guilty pleasure. I have no idea who this man is.
