Mel Kiper Mocks — 1.0 DT Rashan Gary 2.0 DK Metcalf
RobbRiddick replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I sort of agree on the one hand, but I do enjoy looking at mocks none the less, mainly because I don't watch college ball, so the mocks help me learn a bit more about the players. I remember when I was a kid, the draft just seemed to be this thing that happened and didn't really get too much attention. These days I swear there are some people who prefer this time of year to the actual season. Some people just get caught up in the little details of things and obsess over them to the point of insanity. I believe we're collectively known as MEN. -
Troubling Part of Todays NFL Media
RobbRiddick replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I sometimes try and watch the nfl network but it's mostly dog *****. You get 2 minutes of nonsense followed by 4 minutes of commercials. -
They don't have to be BIG NAME guys to contribute and play well. When they signed Hyde and Poyer everyone was a bit "meh" and they were seen as stop gaps until the following years draft. Turns out they've been great for us. It's all about finding guys who fit the system well.

I heard Belichick wanted him but Kraft is apparently sick of Crabbs... ah, never mind

Wanna be the next Billy Buffalo?

Hmmm, would I get fired if Billy suddenly decided to take a dump at the feet of Tom Brady? -
Allen 3000 yards. + 1000 yards

He's always reminded me more of Favre tbh. The passing, obviously, not the running. I loved watching Favre play which is probably why I love watching Allen. It's funny, I was watching his combine trials the other day and he has the weirdest running style during his sprints, looks really awkward and unnatural. Lots of the comments mention it as well. Yet when he's out there running on the field he looks so natural. I've been watching quite a few Allen vids lately, there's some great ones on YouTube. He's easily my fav player now and I really hope he ends up being a great one for us. He has just the right kind of cockiness that a QB needs, the kind that's confident but never makes him a bad teammate to have. Oh, and that TD pass against the Jags was something to behold. 70+ yards with defenders all around him with almost a flick of the wrist. If he starts doing that sort of ***** regularly this season he'll become a favourite of many neutrals around the country. People love entertaining players and he's certainly one of those -
Yep, and because the crowd is so thin you could clearly hear him screaming in agony

Interesting to see how Perez does. He's def my favorite player so far in this league

I don't have the stats in front of me (actually, I sort of do, because Google is a click away, so I'll just say I can't be bothered to look) but from memory of watching all his games, it seemed Foster got much of his yards on long plays when he first came back from the PS. But as the season went on he seemed to build his yardage with a higher number of catches for lesser chunks of yardage. I was pleased to see these games because it showed he wasn't just going to be a WR who runs past everyone maybe once or twice a game, but a viable threat who can catch passes from all over the field.

Maybe the danger aspect was part of the turn on? I mean, why did Wynona Rider go around stealing things from stores when she was a multi millionaire? She had more than enough money to buy everything there. The risk must give them a buzz. The only other possibility I've considered, which is a pretty horrible one, is that he did know they were trafficked and that is part of his thing. Sexual stuff often comes down to men wanting to feel powerful - maybe the idea of him visiting some 'slave' place makes the rich guy feel even more like an emperor. Maybe he has a thing for ancient Rome. Maybe he was dressed as a gladiator? Maximus Kraftus.

I've watched the quick highlights of most games. I like many aspects of the league but the play is very sloppy. Next season they should give them more practice time before the season, maybe have some scrimmages. The sloppy play is what furthers the perception that these guys are scrubs. I'm sure it will continue to improve as the season goes on

Yup. You'd think he'd be smart enough to at least have it checked out first by someone. I mean, it sounds like he was a regular. Maybe he got off on the danger aspect, these things are never completely about sex. The thing is, knowing how the media operates, you can guarantee a long line of women he's paid for over the years will now come forward to tell their stories. Then you'll get the women he's worked with saying he's a sleaze, groper, or has propositioned them inappropriately. They're going to lap this up. And then you'll probably have people coming forward about other high profile sports figures. It'll follow the same pattern as when the Harvey Weinstein story broke.

Well yes, I'm sure if most of us were getting a genuine massage and a hot girl offered a quick flick of the wrist we wouldn't object. But I think it's the trafficking angle that's going to bury him. He'll of course deny any awareness of it but they'll crucify him anyway even if that were true, especially in this day and age.

I wonder what Kraft's story will be, other than "I was horny as hell and wanted to add an extra 'ring' to my collection". I remember when Pete Townsend of The Who got caught looking at child porn online and he claimed he was researching for a book or something. Amazingly he got away with it. Maybe he'll say he realised Brady was going to retire soon, so he told one of his people "get me a new pu_sy" and they got the wrong idea

In all seriousness, paying a woman for sex is one thing (Hugh Grant survived that by just admitting it and laughing at himself), but if it does turn out to be a parlour filled with trafficked women then he's f***ed, and not in the way he was hoping. All the stories will come out about how these women are treated, snatched from their homelands etc, forced into drugs etc. That stuff will make the 'dirty old man' story a million times worse and no one will defend him
