  1. So far, I haven't been proven wrong too often. 🤪 I grew up on radio play-by-play of the Bills, Rochester Red Wings and Amerks. Nothing like it. But today I don't think I even own a radio.
  2. Kevin Harlan, calling the Bengals-Broncos game on Saturday, referred at least twice to guys hurdling other players "like they're Renaldo Nehemiah." I'm old, so I get the reference, but I couldn't help but wonder how many people who are younger than, say, 60, knew who he was talking about. Nehemiah was a track star who never competed in an Olympics (thanks to the US boycott in 1980) and who played a little football but took his last snap 40 years ago. I've noticed this a lot lately, announcers who make references to guys who played in the '60s and '70s, which probably sounds a lot to most viewers like it did to me when announcers used to say "he sure looks like YA Tittle" or some such nonsense. I'm just venting.
  3. Karlos Williams is probably the size of an offensive lineman by now.
  4. I remember him from before he had a toupee.
  5. There seems to be a new position in football over recent years, something called EDGE (not Edge, mind you, but EDGE). I think it's what we used to call Defensive End. It's been a few minutes since I was in grammar school, but if the letters are all capitalized this indicates that it is an acronym. The mystery: what is it an acronym for? After considerable thought, I have come to the idea that it stands for Early Detection Game Exploder. But I'm not sure. What do you folks think? This is really important, and since we have no Miami Haiku weeks left this season, time to put your creative minds to other constructive endeavors.
  6. Never mind the crying. Stroud played like doo-doo last night.
  7. This may be why you don't own an NFL team.
  8. Bring AJ Klein back
  9. Too lazy to start another thread but I think Mike Gillislee should be in Canton.
  10. How many times did the announcers mention Alex Van Pelt without saying he was Buffalo's starting QB for 11 games
  11. Buffalo Joe! Actually had legitimate snaps!
  12. Aesthetically, I hate the red uniforms. Practically, the Bills are 9-2 all time wearing the red jerseys, and undefeated since 2019.
  13. Alex Van Pelt has 3 wins as an offensive coordinator, which is as many wins as he had in his 9 year playing career.
  14. Fun fact: Babe Parilli was backup QB to Namath on the '69 Jets. He has more rings than Jim Kelly. Amazing how great Jim Nance has been in his second career as a play-by-play man. THAT'S A JOKE, YOU TROLLS.
  15. I hate the red unis as much as anyone but I have to mention that the Bills are 9-2 wearing the red jerseys. Undefeated since 2019.
  16. The parody is indeed beautiful. And so are the satire and the irony.
  17. For years it was trash 3rd string RBs who would look like Adrian Peterson when they played us.
  18. Am I wrong to think that this is the first time we've seen the Bills run pistol?
  19. I'm guessing the Bills didn't want to open the playbook too much given that we need to play these guys again in two weeks in the Trubisky Bowl.
  20. They say a bad day on the golf course is better than a good day at the office.
  21. Mantle and Maris were the huge stars of the day. I had both cards but I suppose everyone did. I hate to think that I destroyed those legends biking the streets of Rochester.
  22. I've often wondered what baseball cards I clipped onto my bike back in the '60s that would have been worth a fortune if only I'd have saved them.
  23. I would argue that the one-point safety is not "equally-obscure" but rather FAR MORE obscure. I believe there has never actually been one in the NFL.
  24. WHAT? The pronoun police are on TBD now?
