  1. No NFL coach wants to draft a QB who comes with the teams next head coach built-in.
  2. Most baseball fans today (certainly the ones under age 40) don't even know which teams are in the AL and which are in the NL.
  3. I assume his nickname is "The Silver Hammer"
  4. I always pictured Josh driving with a wedge.
  5. The problem with comparing artificial intelligence with mock drafts is that most mocks have NO intelligence
  6. Pats should have fired Mayo before the game instead of after, it would have helped them lose. Or at halftime, a reverse-Vonte. EDIT: I feel like I might have jinxed Vonte by writing this a few days before he croaked.
  7. The Bills used Jordan Gay as a "kickoff specialist" but often was a healthy scratch. What a waste of a roster spot. Anything that reminds me of the Rex era gives me the chills.
  8. REALLY? It's Gilchrist How soon they forget Lookie, lookie, here comes Cookie! Who here remembers that Peters came up as a 320 lb. tight end and the Bills picked him up as a UDFA. He was primarily a special teams player until he converted to OT and beat out the lamentable Mike Williams for the starting RT position (eventually moving to LT). Kudos to Buffalo's (usually-lamentable) front office and (no less lamentable) coaching staff for this one. By the time it's over he'll have gone from UDFA and the practice squad to Canton. EDIT: Buffalo's lamentable front office returned to form and wasn't willing to pay Peters. Eventually he was traded to Philly for a first round pick. While we were unhappy for years thinking that this stud should have finished his career with the Bills, we were very happy with the player we got with that first round pick - Eric Wood. Think about it: a UDFA turned into Peters and Wood who were mainstays of the OL from 2004 to 2017.
  9. I thought I was going to have to scroll through pages and pages of responses, then write a post reminding everyone that they forgot (or never knew about) Robert James. To my pleasant surprise, the first response mentioned that he's the hands-down winner.
  10. Bills missed a golden opportunity on April Fools to say they're bringing back the mid 2000's Bills players.
  11. Couldn't you get Chat GPT to produce videos so we could actually watch the games?
  12. Does the MF stand for what I think it stands for? Funniest post in a long long time
  13. This is the best Hallmark movie of all: https://www.imdb.com/video/vi1736835353/?playlistId=tt0194342&ref_=tt_ov_pr_ov_vi For those who haven't seen it, I think the whole movie is available on YouTube.
  14. They'll probably make an exception similar to the one in baseball when on a cold night game they'll let the pitcher go to his mouth to blow on his hand. Or some stupid sh*t like that.
  15. I think we had a guy like him a few years ago. Can't remember his name but I remember he had to go down to the garage to get weighed on the vehicle scale.
  16. I remember listening to it on the radio (we were almost always blacked out for TV coverage of home games in Rochester). When the game ended, they played "Auld Lang Syne" on the radio and the fans rushed the field and tore down the goalposts. But these weren't the old fashioned wooden ones, these were metal, and Stan Baron was really worried that someone could get seriously injured. Given that the game ended in a tie, it may well have been the most exciting part of the afternoon.
  17. I'll bet the women's beach volleyball was a tough ticket.
  18. You're even worse than me. I saw 3 or 4 games at the 'Pile and have seen 4 games at the Ralph (two of them preseason games, one of which was a strike game). I've never seen the Bills win a game live.
  19. What about Brandon Weeden? He was like 72 when he got drafted.
  20. Me too. It wasn't called Rich Stadium yet because Ralph had a naming dispute with Erie County. He wanted to call it The Home of the Buffalo Bills.
  21. We all love sports but let's get some perspective here. "Criminally undervalued" does not apply to a person making generational wealth for providing no useful goods or services. Maybe it's "below market" when the market consists of other people playing the same sport whose generational wealth is even greater, but look around you at all the people whose jobs you would never agree to do, at any price, who provide us with things we really need. Let's enjoy the football but please keep it in proportion to the world we live in.
  22. Now I just have to get their names straight.
  23. My recollection is he had zero sacks for the Bills in two seasons. Got his first sack as a Jet, against the Bills.
