  1. Boom. There it is. They Efen did it.
  2. And along these same lines our offense could be a fluke. Most (vegas odds included) will pick the Bills to win the division. I am speaking for the OP, but I think his point is other teams got much better on paper while the Bills basically stood pat. Did they do enough to close the gap? Most likely not. But they definitely made it more interesting and closed the gap. If pre free agency it was say 90% chance Bills repeat it is now maybe 80%.
  3. I agree for the most part. My bet would be we sweep the Jets but could potentially go 3-1/2-2 vs Pats and Fins. So that is either 5-1 or 4-2 vs the division and likely win the division at 11-5 to 13-3. I am not as easily ready to count out NE yet. We still dont know who is QB is and they have added a ton of pieces. People act like they went 2-14 last year when they were 7-9. They added some pieces so would not be shocked to see them go 10-6.
  4. I expect us to repeat as AFCE champs. But to the OP point - it will likely be harder. The teams in our division all appear to have gotten better. That is 6 games that will be tougher wins. On the flipside, as of now many of the other opponents look potentially soft: ATL, CAR, HOU, JAC, NO. Tough games include TB, TEN, KC, PIT, IND. So worse case you go 3-3 in division and 5-5 in the others = 8-8. Better case would be 4-2 in division and 6-4 = 10-6. Best case you go 6-0 again and only lose some tough road games at KC and TB, possibly one other and your at 13-3.
  5. Because either the entire team is going to the HOF or you hate them. The thread has its title “done the seemingly impossible”. Not complaining and am happy with the team. But done the impossible? The premise of that is insulting to the team.
  6. As they say. The GM/Coach are tied to the QB they draft. If Allen was a bust these guys could potentially be out of a job. Thankfully he wasn't and they deserve the credit for making the right pick. Just not "earth shattering, beyond what anyone could imagine, miracle worker" talk. And there are some that tend to exaggerate or overly cheerlead everything. Saying they have not done the impossible is not complaining. That is just reality checking. Great job yes. Miracle workers now.
  7. Guess guys are still holding out for big $.
  8. Players also dont wait because they then risk their team moving on. If the Bills signed Lavonte David then Milano was gone and looking at a new team and possibly even less money. No MLB's are getting paid. If you look at the NFL these days RB's and MLB's are becoming the cheapest guys out there.
  9. Sherman is perfect for 1 year deal. He would be a much better signing than Norman last year. He could likely be CB2 or at least part of the rotation based on match ups. Dunlap, Clowney, Houston, Ingram - All would be our best or second best pass rusher at this point. Dunlap is my choice and go compare his numbers to Hughes. Gets ,more sacks, more QB hits, misses less tackles. Its a no brainer if you get him on a cheap deal. At RB we just need another body - you take the best guy for least money. RB's can be had on the cheap so you take an experienced guy if you can.
  10. Decent guys left to be had. If guys are smart they know the cap is going up and teams will be spending. So the smart move for a player is going to a team that can help you get that big deal next year. Bills have to look at Edge and DB both of our positions that play into this. The Bills D improves next year which should be easy to do and those guys get paid. Especially if a end can come in and get 10 sacks. So Sherman and Ingram would be huge and good candidates for this. Sherman may just want to win. Ingram may play one year cheap in hope of bigger deal next year from someone. Edge: Dunlap, Clowney, Houston, Ingram DB: Sherman, Bouye, Dunbar, Heyward, Butler, Alexander RB: Bell, Connor, Gurley, Fournette
  11. Well they did just win a super bowl. Look I am a Bills fan. I have been for basically all of my 45 years. I was rooting for Brady to lose every week in TB. Heck they barely snuck in the playoffs. But they did what they did. I probably should just ignore these threads. But they do bait me to respond when I see how the Bills are the only team that is amazing and every other team has so many flaws. Every Bills move is great, move they dont make is justified, and every other team is clueless. I do think the Bills have definitely turned the ship around. But if they found a QB at any point prior to Allen I would bet the bank it would have been turned around at those times as well. There were tons of teams that had good success with no talent. I just dont agree with the "these guys have done the impossible" statement. They have done well. I am happy. Fans, experts and others talking about the Bills will say they have done a great job. But the impossible that is a huge embellishment.
  12. It fits the argument. Left money on the table because Beane cast a spell on him - the wizard. We have all seen the FA market is strange this. Some guys did get paid, but generally speaking the $ is down. L David was best MLB on the market and he got 2/$25M. J Brown got 1/$5M. Wright and Wilson have not even signed yet.
  13. They found a QB. Yes we are all happy but lets not take this too far. TB just won a Super Bowl after not making the playoffs for 15 years. What they did is more impressive thus far. The Bills have not been the worst team in the league. A team stuck in mediocrity without a QB is what they were. There were many years they had a good roster just no QB. And I will add - if not for Allen the decisions at QB have been suspect at best. Peterman, AJM, Derek Anderson...
  14. All depends who is on the board for both parties involved. If a player drops that another wants wants they will do it. If Billsvgage no one on the board they like they will look fit options.
  15. Glad he is not going to Balt or Kc. And fools would be going nuts if the bills signed him so stop with the nyg is dumb.
  16. Look at the Chiefs roster and salary structures.
  17. This is Lee Smith or Reggie Gilliam replacement not Knox. At least I hope. Played in TE friendly systems and not produced as a receiving threat. I almost see him more as a Patrick Dimarco or how they used Gilliam this year. Still need to get Ertz...
  18. 1 yr vet min deal worth a look. But not much more.
  19. How the blank do the Chiefs have only $160M spent? Hmmm... Mahomes - $7M ($450M contract/10yr) Jones - $8M ($80M/4yr) Kelce - $6M ($57M/4yr) Thuney - $4.5M ($80M/5yr) And I dont want to hear they are going into cap hell. Sportrac shows they will have $50M in space in 2022. How does that roster with a $450M QB and multi $50M+ other contracts seem to be in better shape than ours?
  20. TE - Ertz, Fells DB - Fuller, Sherman, Jackson, Butler Edge - Clowney, Ingram, Dunlap, Houston DL - Suh, Casey, Short, Rankins
  21. Good back up QB signing. Now hopefully we never actually see him play except for in a final week with starters resting.
  22. #158 for Ertz. Phi wants #145. Throw in a 2022 7th rounder.
