  1. Kc looks like our offense when we are struggling. Mahomes legs most productive. Trying to be cute. Look shaky.
  2. I would rather KC destroy them. Then we can say we were easily 2nd best team. Feels better than just not being good enough.
  3. Guy will have 10+ million in careers earnings before he is done. How many of us will earn that in a lifetime...
  4. Hard to compare drafts from different years. Every year a team has different needs. I think the fairest way would be to simply look at the quantity of players that succeed vs we picked Allen its obviously the best. So along those lines... 2018: Two potential career starters in Allen and Edmunds. 3-5rd is three potential contributors. 6-7 is nothing. Even looking at just 2019 - Oliver, Ford, Singletary and Know are 4 potential long term starters. Maybe not as set in stone as Allen/Edmunds. Plus the Johnsons in 6-7. Bottom line hard to ever say best. But you can say good or bed. The past few years have been good in that we have players that are contributing.
  5. All draft picks are a gamble. But if gambling dont you always prefer better odds? That is essentially what the rounds represent. There have been plenty of discussion that show what % of each round end up being starters, making rosters, being pro bowlers, etc. The odds for a 1st rounder in all of this areas is significantly higher. I recall being a pro bowler is something like 40-50% for a 1st rounder, dropping to under 20% for a 2nd rounder, under 10% for a 3rd rounder and under 3% for a 4th.
  6. If the cap number is really going to be lower. This year would be a good year to release over priced players and replace them with better or equal options at a lower price. Guys like Vernon Butler and Q Jefferson are likely gone - $8M cap hits. Your not spending $16M of $175M on them. Next on the list would have to be Brown, Hughes, Matakevich, Addison. Poyer and Hyde are big savings but maybe those are restructures along with Morse.
  7. Tre was not Beane. But providing McD with credit there would give you the below draft picks made by the regime in this late 1st to early 2nd rage. Tre White Zay Jones Cody Ford AJ Epenesa What does this mean? Who knows. Could be a starter or a guy that barely dresses.
  8. I think the cap will wind up higher than the numbers being thrown around. The $175M is the floor and using this allows for more interesting discussions. It winds up at $200M+ and teams have $25M more in space than all of these talks. I think many players will be willing to restructure if all teams are faced with cap issues.
  9. They will be fine. Guys will restructure and they will plug and play cheaper role guys. They wont pay $10M to aging role guys. They wont waste millions on special teams aces when they know you can just kick it out of the zone every time. I think the Bills will do the same when that day rolls around for them.
  10. Edmunds is 22 years old. He has played 3 years and is still one of our youngest players on the roster. He has shown enough promise to be building block. Yes, you want him to get better and that will happen.
  11. Here are the savings numbers per Sportrac: Brown - $7.93 Hughes - $7.35 Butler - $6.82 Jefferson - $6.5 Hyde - $5.11 So roughly - $33M
  12. Has nobody read the rules that only B7uffalo can afford one $10M+ salary. In all seriousness, it is possible. You have to stagger contracts and be smarter about things. Cant waste $40M on guys like Jefferson, Butler, Addison, Klein, etc. Or $4M on special teams guy. Other teams have done it for years.
  13. Star actually hurts the cap to cut. But cutting the other guys is actually more like $30-35M in savings. So you could argue replacing them with 2-3 high priced free agents and a few rookie/low priced contracts would be an upgrade. Not suggesting it is going to happen but possible and workable.
  14. Biggest needs: Pass rusher and LB (LB's) if Milano leaves Potential Need: OL lots of potential change. Only locks right now are Dawkins, Ford, Boettger. Morse is under contract but would not be surprised to see him cut or a surprise retirement. Feliciano, Williams, Winters, Nsekhe Debatable Need: RB and TE
  15. Could never see those first 3 rounds happening. Harris is going in the first. Pitts likely not there at 30. And Tyron in 3rd? 30. Wyatt Davis OG Ohio State 61. Brevin Jordan TE Miami (FL) 93. Hamilcar Rashed Jr. EDGE Oregon State 147. Tony Fields II LB West Virginia 160. Trey Hill OC Georgia 190. Paris Ford S Pitt 201. Marlon Williams WR UCF
  16. I dont see them doing all of those moves. Those are just the most likely players that will get a hard look. I think on DL - they keep 2 and cut 2 out of Addison, Jefferson, Butler, Hughes. That is $13M that can be used on 1 player. So you have Star, Phillips, Oliver, Zimmer, Epenesa, and Johnson. Maybe you bring back Hughes and Addison and let Butler and Jefferson walk. Now you have $13M for a guy. Morse I would hope they can restructure. He is not a $10M center at this point in his career. Restructure him and draft a C. Other options for a 1 year deal - Mack or Pouncey. Worse case you go with Feliciano and find a G. Brown is similar to Morse. Maybe you restructure him. But if stretched for cap and have Diggs, Beasley, Davis, Hodgins and options like McK, Stills, Kumerow and free agents that could fit his role like a John Ross.
  17. Bills had 5 touchdown drives total in 3 play off games. No we were not awful. But we are clearly not there yet. Higher expectations...
  18. At least we got to delay the offseason discussion by a month+. But on to next year we go... Many expect to see a lot of changes on the roster - very likely or maybe not. The salary cap is still a big question mark. The current number being floated is the Bills only have $2.5M in space. Important note - that is based on a big drop from ~$200M to $175M which is the floor. I just dont see the NFL landing there. So the Bills could easily pick up $20M+ just from that moving closer to $200M and flat with this year. Then you add the below potential cuts which the Bills are surely to at least make a few. So for these conversations I dont think we should use the $2.5M cap number. It is likely to be closer to a $40M available number. Potential Savings Morse - $5M Addison - $6M Brown - $8M Hughes - $7.3M Jefferson - $6.5M Butler - $6.8M Add in some of these cuts or restructures and you could add another $40M. So we could easily enter free agency with $60M in space to sign some of our own and add some talent.
  19. No its not the end of the world. But, yes it was disappointing to watch last night. Our O lacked creativity last night and did highlight the gap between our ability to scheme and KC. It was not all talent. KC has more talent but the plan they had was clearly better than ours.
  20. Davis over Stills was a huge mistake. Stills could have at least help stretch the field. Davis was on the field for 16 snaps, 3 targets and no catches. That was a waste. Bills would have a better chance on O spreading the field with Diggs, Beasley, Brown and Stills.
  21. MIA will give Tua at least another year NE will pick up someone - Stafford? NYJ will draft a QB and roll with whoever they can find and a rookie.
  22. He will either restructure or be released. They have options with Davis and Hodgins, plus guys like Stills, McK, Kumerow, etc.
