DB coach Butler. Not our GM that passed away like 20 years ago...

The good: Played in all 16 games season. Played 91% of the snaps. 14 TFL. 7 Passes Defended. 12 QB Knock Downs. The Bad: In 16 games - 5 sacks vs 16 in 2018. 2 Forced Fumbles vs 7 in 2018. 11 QB Hurries and 29 Pressures vs. 32 Hurries and 60 pressures in 2018. From this I see that he has possibly lost a step. Still an impact player but not the same burst that is needed for a 15 sack type of guy. He would still come in and be our best edge rusher however.

I would think his list only includes team that have a chance to win it all. KC, TB, BUF, GB, BAL, LAR are the most popular choices. BAL and TB have space already. BUF would need to create it it. KC, LAR and GB are all $20M + over the cap.

Haha. Brady sends apology text. Remind me who the penalty was called on again? NFL is ridiculous in how certain players are treated. How many times have we seen Allen destroyed with no flags. You say a word to Brady - even in a case he is now apologizing for his actions and you get flagged. Cant touch or talk to Tom.

I dont know. The Bills vs Chiefs and last nights game were night and day. The Bucs utterly destroyed them. We had to fight tooth and nail for every inch on offense. Ands on defense we looked lost. Their guys were open by 5+ yards consistently against us. While nearly every catch was contested last night. So the Bucs not only had a much better pass rush but also much better coverage, even on short passes like the quick outs and slants.

Guy will have 10+ million in careers earnings before he is done. How many of us will earn that in a lifetime...

Hard to compare drafts from different years. Every year a team has different needs. I think the fairest way would be to simply look at the quantity of players that succeed vs we picked Allen its obviously the best. So along those lines... 2018: Two potential career starters in Allen and Edmunds. 3-5rd is three potential contributors. 6-7 is nothing. Even looking at just 2019 - Oliver, Ford, Singletary and Know are 4 potential long term starters. Maybe not as set in stone as Allen/Edmunds. Plus the Johnsons in 6-7. Bottom line hard to ever say best. But you can say good or bed. The past few years have been good in that we have players that are contributing.

"First Round Picks are Over-rated": Discuss
ngbills replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All draft picks are a gamble. But if gambling dont you always prefer better odds? That is essentially what the rounds represent. There have been plenty of discussion that show what % of each round end up being starters, making rosters, being pro bowlers, etc. The odds for a 1st rounder in all of this areas is significantly higher. I recall being a pro bowler is something like 40-50% for a 1st rounder, dropping to under 20% for a 2nd rounder, under 10% for a 3rd rounder and under 3% for a 4th. -
If the cap number is really going to be lower. This year would be a good year to release over priced players and replace them with better or equal options at a lower price. Guys like Vernon Butler and Q Jefferson are likely gone - $8M cap hits. Your not spending $16M of $175M on them. Next on the list would have to be Brown, Hughes, Matakevich, Addison. Poyer and Hyde are big savings but maybe those are restructures along with Morse.
