  2. Though he was a decent inexpenive option as well.
  3. That is where I was going. And there are countless posts saying 1) Bills dont have $ 2) Bills dont need anyone 3) Bills only want bargains 4) Not the process and any other excuse for a guy signing elsewhere.
  4. The Bills wanted him. Which is a good thing. Tired of all the posters coming with this the Bills dont want or need to sign anyone.
  5. No, I have been here since the early 80's.Try again. Offered him $10M so yes.
  6. So much for the "this is the Bills way". We got turned down by Watt, Gronk and I am sure some others will come out. At least it makes me feel better knowing they are looking to make moves.
  7. Not sure I get the cap love? We have a low cost QB and no huge contracts on the books. Yet we are approaching free agency like our hands are tied. And I dont want to hear but we signed Milano, Feliciano and Williams. We also cut Jefferson, Brown and didnt resign Kroft, Murphy and some others. Not rocket science. I actually think are roster is flawed in that we have a ton off average players at overpriced contracts - Star, Addison, Butler, Klein, Matakevich. I am not saying we should be up in arms, they are doing an ok job. Just not saying they are genius.
  8. Folks still happy just competing for a playoff spot...
  9. Cam throwing to two capable TE's is much more dangerous than Cam needed to throw downfield to WR's.
  10. Beane created? Yeah right. Pats have owned us since most on this board have been alive. Got to win more than won year to say this kind of nonsense. Pats think they can win the division next year. They were 7-9 in a tank year and have added a ton of pieces. I still think we are the better team but would not be surprised to see us both at 10-3 battling for the division late in the year.
  11. We got rid of two guys... Says Morse, Star, Murphy, Kroft, Addison, Butler, Jefferson. Not huge contracts but no bargain hunting.
  12. NE has won the division how many times the last 20 years? We got to win it more than once before we think we are the powerhouse. NE is going all in because they think they can catch us. Not because they are scared of us. That is ridiculous. If they thought they had no chance they would load up on draft picks and rebuild.
  13. Yannick - 2/$26m is not bad.
  14. I check all the top free agent lists for anyone from Carolina and could not find anyone I wanted. So I guess its down to Kawann Short, Tre Boston, and Trai Turner.
  15. Hendrickson? Reddick? Ingram? Clowney in 4 months?
  16. Why is improving misinterpreted as not wanting continuity? We cut brown. We cut Jefferson. Kroft and Murphy are gone. What about continuity? You can have both.
  17. Another one gone. Hopefully we are in the running for Dupree, Lawson, Reddick
  18. Why is it always so extreme? Cutting Addison for example is not blowing it up. Not signing Milano but signing Judon would not be blowing it up. Not signing Williams and Felciano but signing Thuney would not be blowing up. Blowing it up would be trading Allen or Diggs. Funny though if Milano was not signed it would be Beane is too smart to overpay for that guy. It is not his style, he will find a diamond in the rough to replace him. Plug in Feliciano or Williams and it would be the same story.
  19. What gets lost in a 13-3 record is how close 13-3 is to 10-6 or even 7-9. The NFL playing field is so level. The Bills took the step from the mid goods to the really good group. But it is easy to take a step back to mids again. The Bills were able to win despite some serious weaknesses last year on defense and an occasional inconsistent offense. Look at the playoffs games and we did make it to the ACFCG but it was not pretty in the playoffs. We could of very easily lost to both IND and BAL. As a GM you cant just look at the record of 13-3 and championship game appearance and be content.
  20. Only applies to Bills and we dont even have a QB making big $.
  21. It goes both ways. I think Beane has done better with the low risk signings as do most GM's because there is less of a spotlight. But look at last year and I am sure there was similar talk. What did Beane do? He signed Jefferson, Addison and Butler all to decent deals. All three of them were target to be cut this year. Where did he hit? The Diggs trade was the main game changer. Then the low risk move on Williams and bringing back Feliciano. But if you look over time the FA signings with the most $ have not panned out - Star, Jefferson, Murphy, Kroft, Addison, Butler, Norman.
  22. Update FA Options: Edge: Lawson, Dupree, Ingram, Hendrickson, Reddick, Judon, Yannick, Floyd, Clowney TE: Henry, Gronk, Everett WR: Galloday, Samuel, Davis, JuJu, Fuller, Hilton, Agholor CB: Jackson, Griffin, Peterson, Rhodes, King, Sherman, Poole, Hilton, Darby DT: Tomlinson, Rankins, Harris RB: Drake, Carson, Connor
  23. Barrett - gone though never had a chance Okwara - gone, thought he was an option Jonnu Smith - gone, thought he was an option
  24. A lot of $ can be freed via DIggs, Dawkins, White
