  1. Hmmmmm Which is a huge advantage for us. Fresh for playoff opener and longer to gameplan than our opponent
  2. The last time I cried over the Bills was when we passed on Josh Rosen so........
  3. All four legit qb's in Josh's draft class went to AFC, and I'd say next two best young ones are Burrow and Herbert, also AFC. Yikes.
  4. This makes sense. For what it's worth I've seen every Denver game this year because of a stupid season long win total bet I did (vegas had the over and under at 7.5 wins i took the over). They finished the season strong last year, Lock won 4 out of 5 of his starts. Lot of good young players added in the past few years Chubb, Jeudy, Hamler, Lock, Fant etc. They recently beat Miami and played KC tough. They were #1 in red zone D etc (maybe still are) but they have a bunch of guys out this week and I'm worried less. Fangio is a great defensive guy but he's not a good game caller at all and plays not to lose (ex. punted at the 50 vs Chiefs with 6 min left on 4th and manageable within one score. Game over) I wouldn't call this a trap game, and with empty stands being on the road isn't a big deal anymore, but I don't think we will blow this team out.
  5. Yeah its interesting how a franchise QB makes for a heckuva lot of great coaches. Not many HoF coaches that didnt have an elite qb. Maybe Tuna is the only one that comes to mind, the rest all seemed to have top qb's. QB's make everything sink or swim.
  6. Even little Tre was out there hammering guys like he was a LB
  7. No they beat em. And did play KC hard. Beat Miami. Lock is really streaky, he had a great last month of 2019 season but that injury this year screwed him up. Hes been back a month now and the team can be dangerous. Melvin and Lindsay run hard, this isnt the Jets we're playing here. Lock reminds me of Josh late in his rookie year, he flashes greatness but the lapses can be ugly.
  8. For sure, thats a huge plus. I'd activate Fromm, Hodgins, Duke, Cam Lewis etc. Having a week off for our rookies might help too, they say its hard to adjust to the length of the pro schedule. Also handing the Fins a win on a platter hurts their draft slot next year in every round.
  9. Sam Darnold for two reasons: 1. We dont need any more talent to win a championship, he could be the 3rd string qb for this run. 2. I wish the poor guy could just see what a family oriented culture and qb supportive environment felt like.
  10. Ive always like the Pitt fanbase, I hope they don't turn into whiny Patriots fans. JuJu looks like he's following in the footsteps of those two high character mentors LeVeon and AB. Surprised Tomlin tolerates that. McD would shut that down immediately.
  11. "The way they kind of handled it was a little shady." - Andre Roberts on Jets choosing to let him go. Said anytime you're an All-Pro and they choose to move on it's surprising. Game changing player AND great teammate. Thanks Jets for sucking at everything you do.
  12. Morse restructures or he goes. Astro says Bills scouting college Centers hard this year. A lot of what happens with Williams is going to be influenced by his play in the post season. If he continues to ball out I can't imagine Beane not throwing him a legit offer.
  13. Tomlin makes weird game calls, says he "plays with his gut" despite sometimes being so far off from legit analytics I feel like he should be fired. He has cost them games with off the wall calls. Then something like last year happens and Pitt should have lost most every game but he does an incredible job putting together a 7 out of 8 game win streak with almost no offensive firepower including no Ben, no AB and Connor hurt every week it seemed. I dunno. I think you might outcoach the guy with X's and O's but he sure is a helluva team leader. Like McD actually.
  14. Zero chance. If you keep Trent Murphy at the same cap number this year, you definitely keep one of your top offensive players next year. Restructuring his deal is likely though. Diggs is playing smart as far as not taking hits, getting down, getting out of bounds etc. but if he goes down and we don't have Smoke either, that's a big hurt. Gabe Davis is doing well, but he's mostly getting schemed open. Not ready to take on #1 CB's from other teams. Also too much chemistry between Josh and John Brown. Right now Beane's job is to keep #17 as comfortable as possible with strong continuity into next year. He's probably going to restructure Morse if they keep him at all, but other than maybe a stud center I don't see why this entire offense isn't back again next year.
  15. The Steelers fans that I know understand the game, love their team like we do, and none of them are obnoxious. I find them to be the exact opposite of Pats fans. Also you may find it interesting that they ALL hate the terrible towel idea. When everyone starts whipping them around at home games it literally forms a wall of yellow and you can't see the field at all. Ask any Pitt fan that goes to the games and see what they say. I have some resentment because we were so close to getting Big Ben in a draft trade but Donahoe couldn't pull it off. Also, we're going to beat them silly and it's going to be awesome so if you ARE a Pitt hater then enjoy your Sunday evening !
  16. Always tough as a new HC because you're almost always coming into a mess, but the Chargers have to be looking at Daboll pretty hard this offseason and they're not really a mess, they just need a good HC. Top 12 on both sides of the ball.
  17. I was gonna post this exact thing pretty much word for word. The niners are just annoying. Im surprised they havent blamed it on Jimmy G being out even though Mullens is a better qb anyway. The score wasn't really an accurate representation of the game. We crushed those guys, one punt the entire game. See ya next year niners.
  18. Good post. We are now getting to enjoy the fruits of our labors with this team which frankly we deserve more than most fanbases. Brady is gone, we have a young franchise qb, good coaches in place the Bills are fun to watch and poised to win the division handily this season. As much as Josh has improved, its easy to overlook McDermott's progress, but he's learning clock management and making better game calls. The OP talks about the end of the 1st half from our own 10 with a minute left and how we attack now. Sean simply didn't have that in him until recently and its great to see. We are playing our best ball to date and somehow are the healthiest we've been all year. I wouldn't want to play against the Bills right now, this team is rolling.
  19. If they are trying to lose it will come out from the players, they're the only ones who would know and actually say something. makes no sense because the coaches are all getting fired though.
  20. Wont be long before a simple program auto updates schedules and stuff for websites automatically. Its kinda strange how advanced computers and software have become, artificial intelligence advancing, self driving vehicles and rockets that land themselves for re-use, but at the same time we are still lacking in simple programs and data management technology. Its just moving data, which computers are great at, but still so far behind in so many ways. Hey at least they got Josh updated in Madden. There's some overdue progress right there...
  21. If Goff and company didn't give them 4 turnovers the niners would have lost their 4th straight last Sunday, and as it turns out they still almost lost. Shanahan will throw a few wrinkles at you, but all the Deebo stuff and presnap crap isn't fooling this defense. Tremaine may not be a thumper or great vs inside runs, but they do a lot of stuff in the flat and he's a great coast to coast guy, and finally seems healthy. If they had Kittle and Bosa this is an even matchup, but they don't and its a neutral field with equal defenses and we have a better qb/receiver group. They certainly dont have a better offense than the Chargers, who we just held to 17. Bills score 27 again this week, Niners 16
  22. This is a huge loss. wow. I thought he was better than Watt in the games I watched, which seems like every week because poor Pittsburgh has like 15 prime time games per year. If you haven't seen much of that guy, just think of Clowney on his good days. Bud can dominate a game with pass rush, run D and even dropping into coverage on occasion and running with a back or a TE. Pitt D is gonna feel this.
  23. I thought we screened people for personality on this board no?
  24. It was cbs. Theyre too lazy to run replays. Its like a high school tv production class only worse.
  25. Is that the same Shanahan that got outscored 46-0 in superbowl 4th quarters? GENIUS ! I want a guy like that on my side. Mr Clutch I call him. McD is learning as a head coach. He's already a good leader and detail guy, but there's no school for getting to be a good clock manager, call challenger, or in game adjuster. The only way to do it is to do it. (and have some good calm, analytical people on your headset to offer suggestions). I hope Sean isn't too easy on Beane when we whiff on a draft pick and that he doesn't cater too much to Beane's ego in terms of overplaying someone who otherwise wouldn't be on the field if he was a free agent and we didn't burn draft capital on them. Knox and possibly Ford come to mind. That would be my only worry with McD, that neither he nor Beaner pull the rip chord early enough on guys that aren't going to pan out.
