  1. If they are trying to lose it will come out from the players, they're the only ones who would know and actually say something. makes no sense because the coaches are all getting fired though.
  2. Wont be long before a simple program auto updates schedules and stuff for websites automatically. Its kinda strange how advanced computers and software have become, artificial intelligence advancing, self driving vehicles and rockets that land themselves for re-use, but at the same time we are still lacking in simple programs and data management technology. Its just moving data, which computers are great at, but still so far behind in so many ways. Hey at least they got Josh updated in Madden. There's some overdue progress right there...
  3. If Goff and company didn't give them 4 turnovers the niners would have lost their 4th straight last Sunday, and as it turns out they still almost lost. Shanahan will throw a few wrinkles at you, but all the Deebo stuff and presnap crap isn't fooling this defense. Tremaine may not be a thumper or great vs inside runs, but they do a lot of stuff in the flat and he's a great coast to coast guy, and finally seems healthy. If they had Kittle and Bosa this is an even matchup, but they don't and its a neutral field with equal defenses and we have a better qb/receiver group. They certainly dont have a better offense than the Chargers, who we just held to 17. Bills score 27 again this week, Niners 16
  4. This is a huge loss. wow. I thought he was better than Watt in the games I watched, which seems like every week because poor Pittsburgh has like 15 prime time games per year. If you haven't seen much of that guy, just think of Clowney on his good days. Bud can dominate a game with pass rush, run D and even dropping into coverage on occasion and running with a back or a TE. Pitt D is gonna feel this.
  5. I thought we screened people for personality on this board no?
  6. It was cbs. Theyre too lazy to run replays. Its like a high school tv production class only worse.
  7. Is that the same Shanahan that got outscored 46-0 in superbowl 4th quarters? GENIUS ! I want a guy like that on my side. Mr Clutch I call him. McD is learning as a head coach. He's already a good leader and detail guy, but there's no school for getting to be a good clock manager, call challenger, or in game adjuster. The only way to do it is to do it. (and have some good calm, analytical people on your headset to offer suggestions). I hope Sean isn't too easy on Beane when we whiff on a draft pick and that he doesn't cater too much to Beane's ego in terms of overplaying someone who otherwise wouldn't be on the field if he was a free agent and we didn't burn draft capital on them. Knox and possibly Ford come to mind. That would be my only worry with McD, that neither he nor Beaner pull the rip chord early enough on guys that aren't going to pan out.
  8. I agree with you, was just listening to Sal on WGR and half the callers were negative, worried about Hail Mary defenses and basically making up things to whine about. A lot of "well we won but....." We controlled the game against a team with multiple pro bowlers on offense and defense without our home crowd in the house for a nice AFC win. The thing I liked the best was the run game. Singletary had an elite 5.1 ypc average last year (as good as Derrick Henry) so we know he can run, but he needed to get on track. Moss looked awesome too. That one run where he ran into our RT Williams from behind and sent him flying was awesome. Maybe not for Daryl but to see your RB throw a 300 pounder like that, wow. He's about power and being low. I recently read this scout's take on him in college "Like trying to knock over a weeble-wobble. Mass rides low and he runs with a wide base. Flexibility in his ankles and hips allows for him to catch his body at absurd angles to the ground and still retain his balance and quickly turn upfield. Has a bowling ball approach to tight spaces and an active off-hand to stun the initial brunt of incoming contact. Able to generate scramble drill plays with shocking survival ability in between the tackles." It was great to see him get a head of steam and do his thing. NFL confidence grows the more a young kid gets big plays and believes in himself, sees it on tape after the game, gets reinforcement, finds his niche on the team. He's also a better pass catcher than he looks, can adjust to errant throws etc. Its not like he's a great route runner but for checkdowns and screens he's a nice option. Daboll is going to use him more and hopefully Josh less, I just wish they'd give kid the ball from 7 yards deep instead of 4 yards, it makes a difference and works against his natural ability to pound defenses.
  9. All 3 of his sacks were no skill. One Josh held on to the ball for 6 seconds, coverage sack. Another one Bosa just fell on Josh after the ball came out. 3rd one nobody blocked him at all and he just ran into Matt Barkley. Im not saying he's not good, but Ingram overshadows him when he's healthy.
  10. Agree Milano is all around better but that neck whip tackle A.J. had on 3rd down in the redzone was a monster play with some serious closing speed. A critical, game changing play.
  11. Yup. Dont worry its on Beane's list. Noticed they activated Harrison today, didnt see him in the game until late but he and Ed know each other well out there. That one strip sack move big Ed was on Herbert in less than 2 seconds. He's got a nasty chop goin for that ball, reminded me of the Dak strip sack he had last year. Fyi that roughing the passer call was ridic. Of course CBS never shows replays at different angles or slo mo but i rewatched it, the league owes 91 an apology.
  12. I know right? The niners suck. They lost 3 straight and caught the streaky Goff on a bad day. 4 turnovers and they still barely won. Deebo and Mostert arent as good as Keenan Allen and Ekeler. And Herbert is a way better qb than Mullens obviously. 31-16 Bills and its never really close. The spread will creep to 4.5-5 and its still a B-lo lock. P.s. here's a fun fact Kyle Shanahan has been oustcored 46-0 in the 4th quarter and OT in his 2 Super Bowls as an OC or head coach hahahahahahahahahahahahaha GENIUS?!?!
  13. The fact that they still allow players to go out umasked after the games and hug/shake hands with the other side of the field tells you all you need to know about the league and it's idiot commish.
  14. I think the league wants a star qb to be ineligible from Covid to send a message to the teams. Take it ten times more seriously than you are now or this whole season will end in a few weeks. If your stud qb gets it, too bad. Critical players should be in a bubble there's only 6 weeks left.
  15. I loved Chevy Van Millah. I have to admit, Murph is really getting into it lately, and he's filling those big shoes pretty well.
  16. They put way too many restrictions on the euro guys. Made it almost impossible for them to actually see the field. Wade should be able to be activated at any time and play. Would be great week 17 to see him return some punts and get some handoffs, catch a few screens when we rest our starters against Miami because we're clinched. Goodell worst commish in any sport ever. Dude has no feel for real innovation, he operates like the stiff lawyer that he is.
  17. I agree simply because we struggle vs the run so they can put us on our heels a little with not knowing what is coming, run or pass. This ought to be a statement game for us. Milano and John Brown both healthy, Tre with some rest to shadow Keenan Allen, and our Oline finally in place for the 1st time EVER. If we pass rush well we'll dominate this game.
  18. Our poor corners are getting beat up pretty bad in run support this year. If your Dline gets pushed back too often, your LB's get swallowed up by the 300 pounders, and far too many times our cb's have to tackle RB's with a full head of steam. If we could just let Tre and Levi cover and ball hawk we'd be doing everyone a favor. What happens in the trenches affects everything.
  19. This post aged well..... And with a Texans win the Pats are done and their 1st round pick they sent to Miami drops down a little more.
  20. If Miami can hit on this upcoming draft with all their extra picks from The Great Unload move last year, they will be tough, but as we know all too well. If you aint got the QB, you aint got the playoff wins.
  21. Agree. Ive watched all the Browns games but one. Hunt has been tough running, and Chubb is back now too, but Mayfield has topped out and is playing college ball out there. They dont suck but not a 7-3 playoff team.
  22. Yeah they both look amazing. Dont know which i'd rather have but Herbert has a better surrounding cast. They could both end up being franchise guys for sure. Heard a radio guy say Burrow sitting out the rest of this season might help more than it seems now that he can observe and learn from a different perspective and next year they can protect him better and sign some WR's.
  23. Great coaching in my opinion. The kid was flat as hell and the Broncos werent prepped for Fitz. Tua is plenty confident, he's learning a tough job in a process that takes years.
  24. Tua was the 5th overall pick. Bringing him in after a handful of games when you think he's ready isn't crapping on Fitz at all. I like this Flores guy. Good mix of tough old school and innovator. His team needed a spark and he acted. Here's a quote Fitz: "It's very clear this is Tua's team. For me, my defined role is whatever the team needs out of me."
  25. I will say that last year Lee was responsible for a lot of Singletary's yards. A LOT. He keeps his arms in and is sneaky the way he holds his blockers. Remember that a lot of holding calls are flagged by the refs just looking at the defenders body posture/position. Lee knows when to hold em, knows when to let em go before they flail. I remember rewatching a few games and thinking even if he gets a flag or even two per game, it might still be worth it because he isn't getting caught every play but he's creating some massive holes out there. Then we played the Patriots and Belichick saw on film that Lee Smith really holds excessively every play and spoke to the refs ahead of the game about it (my own theory but man were they on Lee from the start that game) After that it started to become a lot of flags. So anyway, happy birthday Muchacho, the mafia HOLDS you in high regard.........
