  1. I loved Chevy Van Millah. I have to admit, Murph is really getting into it lately, and he's filling those big shoes pretty well.
  2. They put way too many restrictions on the euro guys. Made it almost impossible for them to actually see the field. Wade should be able to be activated at any time and play. Would be great week 17 to see him return some punts and get some handoffs, catch a few screens when we rest our starters against Miami because we're clinched. Goodell worst commish in any sport ever. Dude has no feel for real innovation, he operates like the stiff lawyer that he is.
  3. I agree simply because we struggle vs the run so they can put us on our heels a little with not knowing what is coming, run or pass. This ought to be a statement game for us. Milano and John Brown both healthy, Tre with some rest to shadow Keenan Allen, and our Oline finally in place for the 1st time EVER. If we pass rush well we'll dominate this game.
  4. Our poor corners are getting beat up pretty bad in run support this year. If your Dline gets pushed back too often, your LB's get swallowed up by the 300 pounders, and far too many times our cb's have to tackle RB's with a full head of steam. If we could just let Tre and Levi cover and ball hawk we'd be doing everyone a favor. What happens in the trenches affects everything.
  5. This post aged well..... And with a Texans win the Pats are done and their 1st round pick they sent to Miami drops down a little more.
  6. If Miami can hit on this upcoming draft with all their extra picks from The Great Unload move last year, they will be tough, but as we know all too well. If you aint got the QB, you aint got the playoff wins.
  7. Agree. Ive watched all the Browns games but one. Hunt has been tough running, and Chubb is back now too, but Mayfield has topped out and is playing college ball out there. They dont suck but not a 7-3 playoff team.
  8. Yeah they both look amazing. Dont know which i'd rather have but Herbert has a better surrounding cast. They could both end up being franchise guys for sure. Heard a radio guy say Burrow sitting out the rest of this season might help more than it seems now that he can observe and learn from a different perspective and next year they can protect him better and sign some WR's.
  9. Great coaching in my opinion. The kid was flat as hell and the Broncos werent prepped for Fitz. Tua is plenty confident, he's learning a tough job in a process that takes years.
  10. Tua was the 5th overall pick. Bringing him in after a handful of games when you think he's ready isn't crapping on Fitz at all. I like this Flores guy. Good mix of tough old school and innovator. His team needed a spark and he acted. Here's a quote Fitz: "It's very clear this is Tua's team. For me, my defined role is whatever the team needs out of me."
  11. I will say that last year Lee was responsible for a lot of Singletary's yards. A LOT. He keeps his arms in and is sneaky the way he holds his blockers. Remember that a lot of holding calls are flagged by the refs just looking at the defenders body posture/position. Lee knows when to hold em, knows when to let em go before they flail. I remember rewatching a few games and thinking even if he gets a flag or even two per game, it might still be worth it because he isn't getting caught every play but he's creating some massive holes out there. Then we played the Patriots and Belichick saw on film that Lee Smith really holds excessively every play and spoke to the refs ahead of the game about it (my own theory but man were they on Lee from the start that game) After that it started to become a lot of flags. So anyway, happy birthday Muchacho, the mafia HOLDS you in high regard.........
  12. Which means in a re draft Browns take Allen and we probably have Rosen or Fitz or some Carolina retread at QB and my hair is fallin out....
  13. Wait, you mean going to live on a planet where the average temp is 81 below zero and there is no oxygen doesn't excite you?
  14. Bright side: We are 7-3 and control our down destiny down the stretch. We just lost on a freak catch by probably the surest handed receiver to ever play (Nuk had ZERO drops on a 115 catch season in 2018) Knox has more drops than that in warmups. Our offense did enough to win the game, including another awesome last minute touchdown drive. We will roll out of this bye week healthy and ready to pop the Chargers and Niners and be 9-3.
  15. The downside of having such a tight, family oriented team is that its hard to let people go who you love, even when they are dragging your team down. Thats compounded by the fact that we traded up to get Knox, so Beane has a significant draft capital investment in him. Two stupid penalties yesterday on limited snaps. One was a boneheaded block in the back that cost us 21 yards and josh threw a pick on the next play. When people say Gee isn't it amazing Knox only caught a dozen passes in his entire college career and never even scored a single TD? I say no, its not amazing, its perfectly understandable. This guy is a disaster out there.
  16. Hope he is ok. Most solid cb of the year for us in run support and has played excellent vs pass too
  17. Gotta say im kinda tired of the Panthers retreads. Its a 50% hit rate, and Josh Norman is startin to feel a lot like Kelvin Benjamin. Big name but below average play and not good enough to rely on. Gotta say im kinda tired of the Panthers retreads. Its a 50% hit rate, and Josh Norman is startin to feel a lot like Kelvin Benjamin. 18. And that pathetic block on Jamal Adams that almost got Josh killed. Sorry but if Knox was a walk on he would have been cut a long time ago. Everyone says he only caught a handful of passes in college and never scored a TD like its a surprise. Gee I wonder why.... For a team that preaches consistency, the dude is anything but. The way I characterize Knox is fantastic athlete, poor football player. Beane is a gambler, he hit on Josh, missed on Knox.
  19. 100% He and Dak are both great guys but one organization treats you like you work for them and the other treats players like family. If you were $$$ set for life either way where would you rather play. Plus if Josh keeps playing well he gets into the $7-15m per year endorsement game.
  20. McKenzie is a Daboll favorite. Solid hands and trusted in clutch situations. Backup returner. Requires attention from opposing DC's in gameplanning. Seems to get good separation vs man or zone. Cap friendly. No reason to think hes going anywhere.
  21. Yeah that penalty on Adams interfering with Bease was the most important flag of the game. Momentum was swinging and we had 3rd and long, one score game. Overall the Oline did a really good job today considering how many in and outs they had with injuries. Both our running backs are doing well in pass protection too. They oughta give Knox a lesson or two.
  22. Beaner missed on Vosean pick (easy to do with late round picks) and gambled this year on Tremaine and Milano staying healthy. We lost that bet and it's costing us. My hope is we somehow win one of the next 2 and come out of the bye week 7-3 with a 2 week rest and spank the Chargers with a well rested squad. Might see some hybrid packages like 5-2 tmrw. Lockett and Metcalf are studs and we only have one CB I trust right now. Get ready for some heavy zone D.
  23. Yup Been saying that for weeks now, get the guys 7 yards deep and let our little bowling balls hammer away. All these tight read options give the backs no head of steam and it tends to result in a lot of dancing at the line trying to find daylight.
  24. I read somewhere that Feliciano would have jumped right in at center but his hands were too taped up so he had to finish the series at guard and then get his right hand unwrapped and retaped for snapping the ball.
  25. It got to be laughable how many times he overthrew his guys. Ball was either too far deep or too far in front of his crossers. He has a nice arc trajectory, like Russell Wilson, so when he hits on a pass it looks great because it drops down into the WR. But unlike Russ (or Josh) he doesn't seem to have enough elusiveness and pocket presence to cut it as a franchise guy.
