  1. You think Mcdermott would sign up for that? Maybe he’d let them stay for a wild game of bingo after the Sunday mass, but idk, that’s cutting it.
  2. Yeah, and they get to do super fun things like go to new era to do some hat shopping, and check out a rubber band factory or something. Idk, I always thought our rookie trips looked pretty lame to be honest.
  3. Does Josh even like football anymore? Just in case people aren’t sure, I’m 100% joking.
  4. I feel like he will get in eventually, but I don’t agree with it.
  5. Why is anyone even bringing up Eichel? That’s old news. We got a lot of great pieces from that deal, and Eichel would have never brought this team to where they’re headed. I would’ve traded Eichel for Tuch straight up since Eichel leaving was a positive all on its own. Sabres have a fun and exciting young team. The draft couldn’t have gone better, imo. Getting Benson where we did makes zero sense, and I couldn’t be happier about it. Might need to retire the Lafontaine jersey. The defensive players they added in free agency should help a lot. Johnson playing the role of the wiley old vet that has won a Stanley cup to help mentor the youngins. Clifton will bring some much needed grit and nastiness, if paired with Power will really help to allow Power to open up offensively. Tage and this team are super young and super talented. And that’s not even mentioning the ridiculously stacked prospect pool. The only negative I really see for this team is that the pool is so overfull, it’s going to be hard to give these kids a chance on the roster. I think moving Olofsson would help there a bit. I would’ve liked a move for a goalie, but they were a point away from the playoffs. Levi playing a larger role, the young guns having another year under their belt, and the added meat should be enough to get them over the hump. Regardless, whether it’s next season or later, this team has so much to be excited about.
  6. I haven’t had a paper in my hand since delivering the Buffalo news over 20 years ago. Almost $30 seems like a lot to me in the age of the internet where you can find the latest updated information on anything/anywhere in less than 10 seconds. I understand that you can also do digital, but I think I’ve only run into an issue like once or twice a month where there’s something I’d like to read and can’t get in without a subscription. In those cases I was easily able to find that information elsewhere.
  7. You’re not wrong. What actually makes me more nervous than their D-line is Josh’s ampitude. Dude gets so hyped. Primetime, division foe, Aaron Rodgers, I’m worried hero ball Josh might forget that he has options that aren’t 20-30 yards down the field.
  8. When I hear Chris Brown talking about the Bills I make a face like someone slapped me in the nose with a wet fish. Admittedly, I’m a Homer, and I know it’s his job to be ultra Homer, but I get the same feeling from him as I get hearing Collinsworth schlobber on about the top five qbs. Also, he’s kind of a bore.
  9. Hmm… does this guy have wild swinger parties in tie dye? If so, ladies and gentlemen, King Kev is back!
  10. Thirsty turtle has a better plate anyway. Beans > Mac salad
  11. This is still a thing? I’m curious for sure, maybe I’ll give it a look… PSYCHE!!!
  12. I have hours and hours of time invested watching him that refutes this point completely. Run, run, pass. Run, run, pass. One third of his drives were clearly passing plays with 5 to 8 yards needed. Dude wouldn’t let it go until the last second and that was to a guy no one was covering because he wasn’t beyond the first down marker.
  13. I never “hated” Tyrod, but he was infuriating to watch. He’d just never let the ball go. Dudes would be wide open, and he’d just refuse to sling it. I remember screaming, “throw it!” He never would. That’s why I’ll never get down on Allen for turnovers as long as he keeps taking his shots. The alternative is playing safe, and boring football to limit mistakes. He lasted too long, and I hope I never have to watch that kind of football again. I have nothing against him, but I’m certainly not going to praise him either.
  14. I definitely wanted him, but around that time I wanted every qb in every draft. Sucks.
  15. If you think they’re overrated that’s one thing, but “trash?” You’re just looking for attention now.
  16. I’m super greedy, but I’ll still just take one. During the drought I kind’ve resigned myself to the fact that I’d never see a championship in my life time. Then Josh Allen came into our lives and completely ruined that for me. 13 seconds hurt in a way that I didn’t think was possible as an adult. I can only imagine how a championship would feel. The again, the door is wide open for more wide rights, and 13 seconds’, so… idk, I’m equal parts hopeful and anxious. I guess It’s better than feeling nothing about it.
  17. If they win the Super Bowl, put me in the who gives #€£%! category. Actually, you can put me in that category now if you’re putting a list together. Are you putting a list together?
  18. Maybe they were a package deal? Can’t keep Beane without keeping Mcdermott? What’s a backet?
  19. Agreed. Does Thurman just skim responses and make up what the other person is saying?
  20. But on that same token what if those posters are just saying we can’t afford it, meaning it’ll cause financial havoc down the road? Just as your post was misunderstood, couldn’t theirs also be? At this point, I’d say everyone understands the ramifications. It’s whether or not you believe this is THEE year you have to push your chips and go all in. I personally am on the side of let’s forget about Hopkins. We have a #1 receiver that is complaining about targets as it is, even though he’s what, the second most targeted receiver in a three year span? Adding Hopkins to that equation just sounds like a headache no one needs this season.
  21. I don’t agree with this take at all. Every Bills fan I know personally and myself felt uncomfortable with being the pick to win it all. I’m actually happy the media has turned on us. I think the team likes being the underdog (it’s certainly where I feel comfortable), you can tell the way Allen wouldn’t give anything to anyone about one game being bigger than another, and boosted up every team we played. They prefer being the hunter. This along with trying to prove the league and pundits wrong that Mcdermott can win it all, I hope will give them a renewed spirit. A little anger to go with that skill. Some guys just play better that way. Jordan and Brady certainly did.
  22. I actually said out loud, to a table of co-workers if the Bills took Josh Allen I’d stop being a fan of the team. I wanted Mayfield, Darnold, Rosen, Jackson, in that order. If we didn’t get any of those I still didn’t want Allen. I will say I came around fairly early into his rookie year though. We had the same first three of that class. Which if I remember correctly wasn’t common, as a lot of people were saying Darnold was the complete package and Mayfield was too small and had an attitude problem.
  23. Byrd’s rookie year I remember thinking we had the next Ed Reed.
  24. I know this is the point of the entire message board, but if I can make an observation. You’re fighting a battle that can’t be won (even though you clearly already have in the post leading up to this one), or even come to a place where both people come away with an understanding of the other persons perspective. If you receive a response to this, it will in some form or another be a question about one point that further leads you into the rabbit hole, while completely ignoring all of the excellent points you’ve already made by saying something like “that’s all fine and dandy, but…”
