The teams goes as Allen goes, fair or not. He’s the guy. We wouldn’t be half the team we are without him. With him we’re going to live by the gun, die by the gun. I think he needs to remember that he has teammates that can make things easier on him, and he doesn’t have to do it all by himself. I think he will, and I think we’ll be fine.

Right. The worst part is that he said after one SB he’ll be free to move on. What? That sounds like a very unhealthy relationship. Like you said, this is supposed to be fun and entertainment. If it’s not that for him, he needs to move on. Does it suck sometimes, sure. But that’s the price you pay for the good. If the good isn’t even good, I don’t see the point.

This thread is… something. Context matters, but c’mon. We beat the Packers (who were full of juice) by 10 points. People have off games, outside of Diggs, most of the D, and Singletary, no one really played all that outstanding. This should be something celebrated, not an indictment. How many teams can play a C game and come out winning by 10 points? I get that we’re kinda spoiled these days, and that was less than stellar, but seriously. The team is great, deal with it.

The funny part is he might really just be a super nice guy. But when it comes to football and the Bills I don’t really have time for super nice guys, especially when our team is about to play theirs. Man your battle stations!!!

I’m a fan of McKenzie the guy, but as the football player I’m ready to turn the page and give Shakir the lions share of reps. He’s shown enough, and unfortunately I think McKenzie has too. To be clear, I like McKenzie on the team. I just feel like Shakir adds more right now, and it’s crazy to say because he’s a rook, but he actually seems like the more reliable of the two as well.

It makes zero difference to me and my life. It just strikes me as odd that you’d go out of your way not once but twice to post that you think it’s bad news. Why? So you can say you were right when the news does come out? Seems like a weird thing to speculate about.

It’s not just the LA part for me. It goes hand in hand with the I would’ve taken less to go to Dallas, I decided on my way to Buffalo I didn’t think I would sign, etc. Heard it all enough. I agree with both of you. There’s probably lots to miss in LA. But I do feel like Von’s said it enough, and said it to enough people that it’s time to turn the page. With that said, great interview. So glad to have them both on this team. Hoping Von has a big game. This game (and hopefully the ones to come) are the exact reason he’s here.

I agree that he should, but I have serious doubts that they will. Like you mentioned it’s very odd considering they preach the best players getting the time. It’s the exact reason I was bummed when we signed Sanders, not that we couldn’t use the depth but I knew that it would cut severely into Gabe’s time which is exactly what it did. Gabe was ready to take that step last year, as evidenced by all of the clutch sideline grabs and KC game when he was given the shot. I feel like the Sanders signing was Beane having the opportunity to get him when he couldn’t the year before. I’m hoping Shakir’s play will show them he needs to be on the field. But like Gabe last year, I feel his playing time will depend on whether or not McKenzie is 100% or close to it.

I heard that the activist was injured/burned during the incident. Which imo makes it so much worse for him. He brought something onto the field that could have seriously hurt someone. Not only does the guy not deserve to win this battle, but I think he should actually be facing criminal charges.

I’m fine with Miami losing as long as they’re up by 7 at some point and Edmunds scores the first td of the game.

I miss the lead up and entire draft. It’ll take some getting used to the draft not being our super bowl. Of course, that means the super bowl is actually our super bowl, so that feels good.
