I think everyone would love to have Mack on this team. But he’s 31, and has been declining stat wise, and health wise. 23 mil annually is a lot, and I think the biggest reason he’s a charger right now.

I don’t think it means what you think it means to be over cap. Teams are over the cap every year and make huge moves in free agency. Beane’s got everything covered, don’t worry yourself.

I don’t agree with this at all. He’s a highly competitive person. That doesn’t turn off because you’ve won before. That doesn’t turn off period. It’s in your nature to always win or better the person opposite you no matter the situation. You’re either that person or you’re not. Gronk is that person. I’d gladly add him to the roster and not look back.

This is not at all like the JJ Watt signing. JJ didn’t cost a first round pick. He was a one year boost to a position of need.

Yeah, this doesn’t make any sense to me. It’s an easy cop out. If the weather is always nice, you would think it would be more likely they could miss out on one day in the 80’s to watch their team in the super bowl.

I mean, to be fair Flores has proven that he is a bit of a liability (to the owners). If owners weren’t as keen on hiring him before for whatever reason. Now you know he’ll actually sue you or potentially cause a media firestorm if he thinks he’s been wronged. Not saying he’s right or wrong with how he’s chosen to handle the situation, but if an owner was hiring with racial bias before, I don’t see how this situation changes his mind after this situation. Again, I actually thought Flores was wronged by being fired, and thought he’d be hired right away. I’m just confused what this is supposed to help in regards to dug in owners. This will only serve to have then dig in even deeper in the future, imo.

The problem I’m seeing with all of this is how will this help? Teams, owners, gms, that don’t seem to have these biases are still going to hire who they deem appropriate. Look at the Bills, they have Frazier (so you would assume they’re not hiring based on prejudices, etc) but they hired who they felt gave them the best chance to win, as it should be. The owners, etc. that this is meant to reach, I would think would only make them dig in even deeper. Like, oh see, look what happened to the Dolphins and Browns. Imo, this will make them even less likely to change their ways if they feel like they could get caught up in a firestorm if it didn’t work out. And for the record, I did not agree with Flores being fired, and thought he 100% would have a new gig very quickly. Now I’m not so sure, and to my original point I don’t see how this helps the situation.

I don’t think Gesicki will be a reasonably priced option though I’d be head over goddarned heels for it.

I mean, if it was returned to the 19 yard line would that not explain exactly why they did it? Obviously it was something they felt good about at practice. Special teams get paid for a reason too. They don’t just go out there hoping for the best and thinking up ways to embarrass teams that are no longer playing football games.

I don’t mind my hopes being up, I enjoy football. I had an excellent time this year. Didn’t end the way I’d hoped but I’m a big boy, I can take my lumps. We can’t all be the Bengals fans, can we Chiefs fan? 😉

Last year I a bought a bunch of Allen rookies. Not this particular one, but some of the Donruss ones. All said and done I spent about $150. One of them sells for a little over $300 ungraded so I did pretty well. Probably get them graded the next time my buddy sends some in but i probably won’t see them again for a year with how backed up psa is.
