  1. It was crazy how easy the Titans made it seem. Lamar had little pressure all night as Titans focused on the run, played zone, defended the tight ends and gave up outside throws. Ravens still had yards but no rhythm. If you give time like this to another QB you'll get burned. Ravens O beat themselves too, throwing so much and having play selections more like a "normal offense" instead of their usual run heavy packages. In a weird way, Lamar has shown he is for real. In that he was "forced to play QB" and was very average.... yet with always the threat of a big play. He might not have MVP type seasons from now on but he can play in t he NFL, not be a one year wonder like other running QBs. It made me real comfortable about Josh and what the Bills can do in the coming years with a few key players added.
  2. Not all of NO plays are that unique and only based on him. You design some plays for him but you don't have to change everything. As in the initial post points out, that dude can play on ST and in so many ways he fills some voids by himself. As Josh can run very well, and even catch balls ha ha. the dual threat would be something else! With a Singletarry that can become a receiver, there is bound to be some miss matches at one point. As usual in "gimmick plays", some don't work at all, some are amazing. But then again, a lot running plays are duds too. Josh is super entertaining, if nothing else. Add Hill and... wow! But of course it's mostly wishful thinking at this point but the possibility is there, however slim.
  3. If he stays or not with the Cheats depends how much $$$ he asks for, and if they find a QB to replace him. I know his age comes up all the time, but besides throwing the ball away a lot to avoid hits and less arm strength, is he really that diminished or the surrounding cast was simply not good? And as much as we dislike his arrogance, that is a great text he did. Even the dude that won the most Superbowl rings had a lost to end his season 14th times... A point to keep in mind for those who think the Bills are already finished and blew their one chance. Only one team out of 32 finishes the year happy.
  4. That the Bills can get him or not, that's one issue. Even if MrEpsYtown makes sense in the OP as to how and why it could done instead of just dreamy fan wishes, it's unlikely to happen. But if it could, damn right he is worth a 2nd round draft pick! I can't believe how so many people such a high perceived value on picks. Most draftees do not make the team or do so for a few years in a minor role and are out of the league. If you can get a PROVEN player with one, it sure is worth it. Beane actually got some players this year that did prove they could play in the NFL, and some were backups on other teams and fared fairly well as starters here. That's the way I see it too. Draft picks are valuable, but not to the point of being worth more than players that proved they can play! Edit: think of undrafted players that made it big. Or let's say how well Milano has done for a 5th rounder., Tom Brady being picked 199th overall... all these guys are worth more than their draft picks. While tons of guys have underperformed and are out of the league, including 1st rounders.
  5. Paper Tigers? They went to OT in a playoff game. Won 10 out of 15 meaningful games. Had a stout Top 5 defense. Below average ST, which probably hinders the offense stats. I just hope the D can remain as strong. Age, free agency, etc. can lower its power. But we all expect the offense to be much greater. Tough schedule next year for sure, but paper tigers? Hell no
  6. He must be the player most on the Ref's Revenge List I've ever seen, in any sport. WTH did he do? I'm sure it was more in the past than now too. The Refs should NOT have personal agendas!
  7. It's getting aware when he takes off more than technique. Most of his fumbles came tackled from behind, some really easy like in this game. When he power runs through tackles he is solid.
  8. True. I was so surprised he made the tackle, I saw 41 clearly, but also saw Morse and others, I was sure it would be a HUGE run. But on replay, you see it's just one of those freak things, when 3 people assume the other guy is doing it. Sucks but it happens, especially like that in the open. But it's NOT acceptable when Watt just goes untouched to begin a play! WTH. Makes zero sense.
  9. A playoff loss is bad enough. But don't throw anyone under the bus, you can wreck next season! But the again, it's one question and it's getting blown out of proportion. So many great and awful plays, from Josh to the coaches. And certainly... the refs with that 15 yard blindside block total BS call in overtime!
  10. I couldn't believe it when I saw the replay. What a BS call! And there was also a BLATANT hold by the Texans' RT that wasn't called shortly after. There was no issues with the refs either side could complain about (except that 2nd half kickoff ha ha) but then... this??? It was such crap!
  11. Isn't it like that for ALL teams? One difference is there's not been a dominating all-out offensive game, except maybe for the 1st half of the Vikings game. But even powerful offenses, while we can "sense" they will score and get some drives at some point, they still punt. I've seen Rodgers with many 3 and outs. I think highlights give people unrealistic expectations.
  12. Buffalo wings, of course. There were ribs on special, but as they were Texas style ribs, nope, didn't buy them this week
  13. Fans have been having a hard on for Duke for a while but that means nothing. BUT, the Jets played to win, had their starters, there were no Smoke or Beasley or Knox to draw attention away from Duke, and he was wide open all game. That to me makes it a no brainer. We all though Foster would at the very least stretch the field but he's been a non-factor all year, and well Josh has not connected much on deep throws. Much better to put Duke in there,
  14. They can sign a guy from another team PS so late in the season? In the post-season? Surprising
  15. Now that is a legit counterargument. He wasn't calling for McD and Beane's heads! Just mentioning how they took a risk with roster selection at CB. Legit point, but you offer a great counter instead of just mocking the post.
  16. Dude ain't young yet can still play at a high level
  17. Playing Brees when up 30 points was dumb. Playing Josh and some starters a few series, not. It"s just to keep them involved all week, keep routine the same. etc. Had little to do with gameday but with everything else. Sound decision IMO.
  18. Duke was open so much he deserves to play. Sweeny looks better than Kroft but IDK about his blocking, which matters a lot for a TE.
  19. Well, it's true this game is meaningless, and coming in for the playoffs fresh matters more. Playing backups more is great for them and the team.
  20. I'm not saying the offense doesn't need improvement, we agree on that. But you basically say Beane and McD neglect the offense while 80% of their signings this year went to the offense. One year isn't enough to solve everything but we have to give credit for the determined plan and effort.
  21. Are you serious? Most of the new acquisitions this summer were on offense. Yes before it was heavily focused on the defense, but they really addressed this last summer. Is it a finished process? Of course not, it never is anyway, but 2020 is looking great with how Beane has proven to be wise so far and all the cap space he can play with.
  22. They look so sincere too ha ha. I guess the Bills had closed the W already. I've seen the Bills live 7 times and I'm 6-1. The one loss coming against the Fins on a cold December. There was a real loud drunk fish fan behind me, and yeah I did want to punch his face in at the end, no doubt ha ha. So I can totally understand their feelings, makes it sweeter
  23. You're not good at math, are you? With 10 seconds left, they had tried a 1st down pass, didn't work. On 2nd down they scored... with 1 second left. So yes, they would have had time for a 3rd play if they had missed this one as well. Thanks for playing
  24. It wend under the radar but they could have run 3 plays in those 10 seconds. Impressive to me.
  25. Indeed. It seems when the ball is thrown, they are indeed wide open. It really does seem to work more often than not. What made it better with the Bills., it's that it was Dawkins, the starting LT. Often times it's the added lineman.
