  1. I watched the first half and looked at the always well done official Youtube highlights for the 2nd half just now. He really is the real deal. He was truly impressive. LOL @ at people wanting him over Josh. WTH is wrong with you? He is the #1 draft pick, there are stars all over the league we'll never get... and he is one. You support your team or you don't! GO JOSH!!
  2. Amazing they got both hurt in week 1, but as mentioned already, the opponent is kind of a good timing in a way for the other guys to step up.
  3. Still, it remains quite the issue. And give credit to Daboll, the runs were not obvious calls until to run out the clock.... and yet the holes weren't there. Crazy how good some of the pass blocking was though. I think the Bills will remain a team that setting up the pass opens up the running game, and not the typical other way around.
  4. This team has show amazing... TEAM spirit. We have to credit McD and Beane as well. Nice quote indeed. I like how many Bills players seem to have sincere empathy for other positions, for coaches, etc. Diva warnings have been there for Diggs but so far he's only delivered the good stuff.
  5. 'Sam is just so damn “average” at everything. He has no one legit dominant skill. Boring as all get out. Like white rice.' It's really how I see him too. Josh on the other end, is guaranteed entertainment Was it Boomer Esiason who said that last year? So true. Only perfectionists, well, actually people expecting OTHERS to perform perfectly drool at the mouth with Allen's mistakes. Do I like his fumbles? Hell no ha ha. But he makes so little mistakes overall when you consider his style of reckless playing. He's fun! And it's obvious now with his skillset, determination coaching and great surrounding cast this team is going somewhere!
  6. You should make an "essential" trip to Miami next week then
  7. Indeed. I don't think he made that much of an impact in this game but everyone can feel the he can and he will. Which is exciting and I'm sure gets the blockers more pumped.
  8. Well I guess I disagree LOL Overall, it was a distraction, and a tad dumb, like canned laughter. But sometimes it did add something, yes. I prefer reality I guess UFC has no fans, and while it sucks for the energy and all, and fighter introductions greeted by silence is so weird, then we hear the strikes, even fighters and cornermen talking. I sure hope fans can be back, even in small numbers, after those first 2 home games. The Chiefs crowd was damn loud for being only 17,000!
  9. I had missed this thread. Ha ha, some of you are very hard to please. It was a great gameplan. I feel like sometimes he runs out of ideas by the 3rd quarter but still, solid plays. So far I've only watched two games (doh!), this home and first half of Chiefs-Texans, and plays are sharp and varied. Who needs preseason? The only dumb thing concerning Daboll today, and it obviously is likely not his choice, is him wearing a mask while sitting by himself! WTF
  10. I am a huuuuuuuuuuuggggggggeeeee Josh fan from day 1, but I agree with B+ as we saw both the best and the worst from him. While Knox in the 1st half was a tougher throw, he was alone in the endzone. And of course the Brown one, ouch. And yeah, the two fumbles. But all the nice runs, throws, control, just a playmaker. And no doubt, I was laughing at the haters on this board when Knox made the catch to make it over 300 yards. I DONT CARE but so many here did, at least that's one topic we are rid of this year ha ha.
  11. You only read what you want to read don't you? I have mentioned time and again the difference between athletes saying things and when it's now the league/networks/etc. BTW can you go at work and start preaching whatever divisive POV you want? In most places, nope. You just agree with the "causes" so don't mind it being forcefed on any and all media channels. Well, of course you don't care. The NFL, Bills, etc will lose money, not you. Dana White is actually the perfect example. He makes no secret he is a Trump supporter and has spoken at both the 2016 & 2020 RNC, but you'd never know watching the UFC cards, shows, promos, etc. He does it on his "own time", not on UFC time.
  12. And that's exactly WHY the NFL, NHL, etc. should stay clear of pushing some of their fans away. Many of them will simply not come back. I have loved the Bills for decades, I am a Josh Allen guy since day 1 and it's just grown with his behavior and abilities and dedication, this team is now on the cusp of greatness, yet I have to almost artificially maintain my interest at this point. I hope to get hooked again come Sunday. I choose to but it's an emotion, it's not logical. I suspect there are many more like me. Makes no business sense to push them away. With all the Covid madness and constant social turmoil, we need a release, NOT more reminders of social issues that the NFL has no control over anyway! UFC has been the model so far. I expect some fighters to go all in with some cause at one point, but that's them, not the organisation in its promos, ads, talk shows, etc.
  13. Ha ha. Again when it fits your views you are all fine with it. Yes saying cops hunt down Blacks and disregarding the excesses of BLM and what they really stand for is to "advocate for human decency and equity". Tell me, Drew Brees is such an awful human being I suppose? Years of real charity work, community service for his adopted city and state, big donations in time and money, but he is goddam awful right just because he didn't tow the line 100%? I can't stand you moralists. As mentioned by many, lots of wife beaters, violent guys and all that on our team and others, and we still watch the game. Football unites us, the other stuff divides. To me it's one thing for some players to be vocal about this, I expect that, quite another when the LEAGUE gets into it as well, the networks, pregame shows, etc. As if there isn't enough mentions of all this everywhere we look already.
  14. I've only watched a tiny bit of playoff hockey (while I'm usually hooked), and the crowd noise was not over the top, so not that bothersome, but really stupid IMO. Why even consider it?
  15. Kaep is an indivual, so is Incognito. The difference THIS YEAR would be that the NFL itself, the league, is pushing issues on us while we just want to watch sports. In all those discussions, people supporting BLM and such want to mock other fans not liking this pushed on us by a sports league. Yet most of us don't argue for or against the POV, but the fact a sports league will push one such POV during a time we want to focus on something else. Football and Bills football is what draw us on this board yet we are totally divided on this topic. What good would come to the NFL to lose viewership? You'd be satisfied just because you think all of us peons with different POVs absolutely must be convinced, no matter the way?
  16. It's my take on it as well. The political and current flavor of the month will eventually fade, football will remain. But it is a dangerous slope by the NFL. Let's face it, our love for the game is that, love. It's not logical nor the rationally best investment of our time! So if we lose that emotion for the game, we can be gone forever, and I expect a significant amount of fans to be gone if they keep pushing divisive topics down our TV. People from all walks of life, race, political and religious views, economic levels, etc.watch football, The sport is what draws us in collectively. Don't force feed other stuff and push some of your paying customers or viewers away! It simply makes no business sense, and to those who support the causes, you think it will convince others to do the same because the NFL says so?
  17. If you mean Fox SPORTS, then yes. Leave politics out of football! That one thing that united everybody. I'll be watching tonight for sure... but I'm not amped. Yet I WANT TO BE. Hopefully, the hook will be back. BTW if you have your favorite dessert in front of you but you lean there's a few white worms in it... some would still eat it, me probably LOL. But don't be surprised some are disgusted and want none of it!
  18. You BLM /SJW fanatics sure are dense. You can add the recent kneeling players in the NFL to that list as well. But guess what... those were ATHLETES doing that, on their own, not their teams, leagues, countries or the Olympic organizers. See the difference? Probably not... As for politics being played in the media when countries meet and are enemies... doh. As if that equaled getting ads and banners and public announcement by the league itself that we are so unjust, so racist, so evil. That Blacks are hunted by the police. Sure. Whatever. Hey, this topic sure seems to unite us Bills fans on a Bills board doesn't it? It divides us as it divides society and everything. And tell me this, what is the end goal? When will it be attained? What I hated about the kneeling is exactly what I hate now: there's no defined goal(s), no precise objective(s). Just an open ended judgment call on by undefined judges on how racist and unjust we are as a society. Even in the most exaggerated work dispute between a militant union and greedy owners there will be still a point where they meet and agree on. Here... where does it stop? What would satisfy? We want FOOTBALL, not this. If you can't tell by this and many other such threads, that's on you. What benefits does the NFL bring for themselves, the fans, the cause, society, by going down this route?
  19. People can protest, make their own minds as they wish. Why does it have to be displayed during a sports game though? Politics and social issues have always been happening. You think that's new? But they were NOT shoved down our throats during entertainment, sports events, etc. The NFL in particular made sure no jerseys had any messages on them, nor signs were shown by the players. Football was an unifying factor. We only ask for stuff outside football to remain outside football. Is that too much to ask? I often use Dana White of the UFC as a great example. He has been a Trump supporter from day 1, has spoken at the RNC of 2016 & 2020. Yet that's on "his own time". He doesn't inject any political BS inside the UFC events, ads, promos, etc. You couldn't tell if he leans one way or the other by watching the UFC, as it should be. And their ratings are higher than ever. Why piss off a good chunk of your fanbase? It makes no sense. And it won't change a damn thing how things evolve "in real life".
  20. BLM and SJW crap are very offputting, I won't lie. I'm not even American and can't stand the made up agenda shoved down our throats. Sports is great at uniting people from different income classes, creed, "races", backgrounds, etc. and it"s like they want to divide us. Makes no business sense. Of course, because of all the restrictions, there were no preseason games, no build up, etc. It has happened a few times in the past for me I wasn't fully on board but from the 1st game I was back fully hooked. The no-crowd thing won't help though. Thankfully this Bills team is stacked and super exciting! Which makes it doubly weird that a lot of us are "meh" at this point. Hopefully we all get back in it big time once the season starts. I actually WANT to be hooked ha ha.
  21. Blocking and protecting the QB are big roles of RB so Moss has to do that part as well. Even if he's naturally great at it (IDK), he has to know the OLine blocking assignments and all, and there were no preseason game. Tough for ALL rookies league wide.
  22. This thread just indicates the back field is in great shape. Whoever carries more will likely deserve it. No one is veteran status here. And of course, injuries happen and two good backs, that's better than one.
  23. No doubt IMO that it's the best Bills team in years. And what a TEAM spirit they have going on - wow is it ever fun to watch. But... tough schedule, injuries, and blablabla. Nothing's given but that's exactly why the victors have so much glamour. And Positive is a bad choice of word this year ha ha
  24. A good thing would if the XFL buys out the CFL and creates a bigger, two country league that doesn't overlap with the NFL season. Basically an alternate B league that some stars or players could move up, and some, move down and create interest. Only two countries play this style of football yet the CFL have, on purpose, all kind of different rules: 12 players instead of 11, 3 downs instead of 4, bigger and larger field, 3 minute warning instead of at the 2 minute mark (for real!), goal post at the zero yard line and on and on. I could understand a few differences but this is borderline absurd how deliberate it is. And the field is way too big. As a spectator, you feel too far way from the action. I recall going to a game at the 50 yard line, at say the bottom 3rd, which seems like the perfect spot yet still feeling far from the action, compared to any Bills game I've been to. Anyway, players would like to play, CFL have no season, XFL have new ownership, so XFL could seize the opportunity. Crossing the border of course is an issue. But isn't hockey and basketball doing it?
