  1. I don't think "hero ball" will ever leave him... and that's GOOD. Sure that means some occasional bone head plays or risking injury, but overall it means he's a WINNER. And while he's more Favre than Tom, especially running ha ha, Brett threw a lot of INTs. Since #4 won so many clutch games, Superbowl, and was so enthusiastic and charismatic, people tend to forget that.
  2. Good news the game is on! I was even glad no other Cheatriots than Cam had it. I want this season to go on all the way through. Bills are way too good not to!
  3. Usually, yes. When your QB jus had seemingly injured his shoulder, and has probably been given a shot to dull the pain at half-time.... maybe not.
  4. Well Mariota fits that description too. And it was my fear with Josh BTW. I never thought he'd be a bust unlike so many annoying posters, but that he'd plateau as a good/very good but not great QB - which is a killer. Instead, as planned, Allen has all the boxes checked to be an elite franchise QB
  5. Good enough for run plays. Not so on pass coverage. I was surprised to see him at the same time as Edmunds and Milano, but yeah, that run D needs help. And in the 2nd half they did stiffen up.
  6. Yep. I gave him immediate props, BUT I had given him a second bad grade for his short kickoff... unless it was planned and only the guys know. Missed extra point, short kickoff....then great tackle. All is forgiven... but not forgotten. He makes every kick an adventure.
  7. I still find weird you can show people cut it half, stabbed, shot, murdered... but don't show a boob or say a F word! no no no! It's true yesterday we heard more than usual but it still wasn't THAT bad
  8. Like most running QBs. And of course all the statuesque slow moving ones ha ha TBH when the Cheats nearly KOed him it was a run, and yesterday shoulder injury was in a scramble though not an actual run play. Yesterday both QBs, but even more so for Josh, had all day to throw. AMAZING job on pass protection by the Bills Oline. One of those games he didn't need to run. But it's always there to be used. A nightmare for opposing defenses I still cringe at his QB sneak at one yard line on FIRST DOWN after injuring his shoulder... Either the Bills coaches know it's not serious or that was dumb! I love his runs. But I don't mind a game like yesterday either! Credit to the OLine.
  9. My take when they sent Josh plunging in for the QB sneak TD run at the 1 yard line on FIRST DOWN was that they are either dumb as bricks or the injury wasn't bad. Hopefully, it's the second option!
  10. The biggest strategic blunder were the Raiders NOT taking their timeouts while the Bills were milking the clock. Thank you very much. They had less than 4 minutes when they got the ball back and had to score twice.
  11. Because of the northern cities weather, you can't finish much later. And because summer and labor day weekend mean having less viewers, the NFL is wary to start earlier. But IMO a longer season with 3-4 bye weeks would be better. Many of the season ending injuries wouldn't be anymore, if just that.
  12. Yeah Covid is contagious but you can nave players with the flu or whatever and not everyone will catch it. It's not THAT contagious. He'll be quarantined and come back. It's NO BIG DEAL if it doesn't spread to other players. Of course that's the main thing, the big "if". And not because it's so dangerous to athletes - check out stats will you? - but because they can spread it to family members, they can't play, etc. The practice squads are bigger this season for cases like this. It is a story no doubt, but not this cataclysmic one some of you make out of it. If it hasn't spread, it's the equivalent of Newton having sprained his ankle in practice or something.
  13. Even against the Bills, we could see a few questionable hits, and the camera chosen by the TV crew immediately was the one on him. His reputation is way too well known. Why the hell is he still in the league? It's almost disgusting, really. As a player, you can surely justify playing for a cheater that wins like Bellichick... but for a guy that wants you to injure others? On losing teams no less? Not so sure...
  14. It's not our money, so in a way, make bank Josh... but with this thing called a salary cap, I sure hope there's some good amounts left to surround him for years as well! The Cheats did it better than anyone with Brady, paying him through his corporation to keep his salary down. Why can't other teams cheat the same way???
  15. So... you don't like piss on your toilet bowl? So prudish, dude
  16. This! We might not have a superstar at that position but both TE are upgrades compared to those during the whole drought!
  17. What thing is for sure, you do NOT want to get behind against the Ravens. Not on defense anyway, as it will HURT. They must be one of the most bruising offense ever. Playing WRs for them would suck, but playing OL or TE must be fun. I get the original point though. Trading 100-200 yards of pass offense for an extra 50-100 by Jackson/RBs ain't a good tradeoff. And people have been saying Allen will get hurt running. He hasn't gotten near the number of hard shots Lamar has gotten. I really doubt it can last but for now, it works. KC just scores on almost every drive. BTW the Bills WILL also have to score a lot of points. I don't see our D slowing KC down much. So Allen and friends will have to outgun them.
  18. That was the PLAN. Moss would be the bruiser, perfect complement to Singletarry. Even passing him up to become the#1 RB. Well sorry, we haven't seen it, not at all. Of course I would like for it to happen but Yeldon simply looked better IMO. Season is young, so are the RBs. But so far, Moss has been one of the very few disappointment on offense. For me anyway.
  19. How many fans were there at the Ravens game? It looked sooooo little, like 2,000 (I'm making this up, my perception). When KC had 17,000 on opening night, they were LOUD. It was impressive how much noise they could generate. I'd rather there be 5,000 than zero, but it's not much.
  20. Today it was time for the "other receivers" to stand out. The Bills have so many weapons! And Daboll is creative
  21. Favre was exciting. And just like Josh, had a contagious kid-like love for the game. But people forget Favre threw a LOT of INTs. It really is the most impressive aspect of Josh"s game: playing hero ball with so few INTs.
  22. And Yeldon was quite the upgrade over Moss. And the more we see Singletarry the better.
  23. Indeed. Yes I have noticed that too.
  24. Yeah? Well that is exciting too! We know that how good he already is, he will still improve! And since day 1 Josh is ENTERTAINMENT. My "fear" for Josh was NOT that he would be a bust. I've always believed in him for some reason. But that he would be good or very good but not great. Like many QBs in the league you don't really want to fire but won't take you to the highest levels. Hell, I think Goff for example is one of those. I don't have that fear, and haven't had for a while. He'll be great or die trying!
